Great addition to downtown Wilmette. Great burgers! Best quick bites in town. Tenders were great as well! But wow! Milkshakes were Amazing !!!

I was excited to try this place in the old train depot in Wilmette. I ordered a single hamburger and my partner ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The fries were good not great. Still can't compare to McDonald's fries though. As far as the burgers I'd have to say they were totally underwhelming. The burgers were dry and over seasoned with salt. It was a total let down. For $7.99!for a hamburger, umm I'd rather go to McD's!

Terrible! I'll never go back. We waited nearly 40 minutes for our 2 burgers and fries. Then we were served dry, room temperature burgers. Around the 30 minute mark, I asked for an update on our food and we were told it would still be longer. Okay. Then when we finally did get our food (40 minutes after placing our order), we found two $5 off our next order coupons with our food. That could've been nice, except they were EXPIRED! Just an overall terrible experience. Don't go here. Go to Fat Shallot for burgers instead!

Came in on a Sunday afternoon and luckily the line was very short and moved very quickly. The interior seating is very small and limited however, there are two different side outdoor patios with lots of seating. There's also seating in a closed covered foyer is what I call it because it is in between the main door and the second door to get into the primary building. Parking was on a Sunday on the street and free. Everything here is as consistent as it is at the Rosemont location. The only discrepancy is that I ordered a root beer float here and when I went to the counter to get a refill on the root beer soda only they said they don't do that. In fact, two employees had to confer and agree that they don't do that and also had to agree just to give me a little bit more root beer. Please note at the Rosemont location they offer proactively to give me root beer soda only refill on my float. And when I say proactively, their staff walks around to the tables cleaning things up and asking if you want that refill. The wilmette staff also walks around cleaning tables, which is great to see. Whoever is managing these two locations aka the same manager or some district manager get your policies aligned, and straightened out.

The food was overcooked very dry. The fries tasted like rubber. The food is very cold and the sauce was barely on any of my burger meat..

Fries - well done / extra crispy

Just ok. Kitchen had never heard of raw onion on a cheeseburger. Ambience is nice. Service staff was new (understandably) but nice.

The patio is incredible. Last night we lost (after winning the previous time, but it's good to be humbled on occasion lol). But, I thoroughly enjoyed my free grilled cheese sandwich that I won as our previous trivia night prize. Sandwiches really are their specialty. Perfectly greasy, and the caramlized onions and spinach really elevated it. Another person in our group had the turkey on a pretzel bun and said it was amazing. Also, a great range of drink options. Always a good time, and I'm excited to come to one of their mahjong gatherings, since I recently learned how to play.

There were also burgers I didn't have one but everyone that had a burger or chicken sandwich said they were good and tasty. The open bar was nice the Tito's was smooth and I had a good time. There was a DJ and enough room on the bar floor for dancing and there was a television with sports on for the sports watchers. I also saw patio outdoors seating out back. They had two restrooms and they appeared clean for patrons. The waitstaff and bartender were all friendly and just very nice.

It's funny I come near Woodstock, and I always make that joke "Boba burger?" anytime I'm in the area with my buddies The other day one of the owners kids was playing near the register and you know its moments like that where they're just happy and such great people with great hospitality to there customers. I've reviewed this place once before: Tokyo dog, Lechon burger, large fries, and triple berry smoothie is my go-to. I seriously don't exaggerate you need to come by before they close. The drink options aren't huge. It's not a place you linger or have a conversation. The onion rings are nice and crispy but for me I don't like the huge batter centric rings. I like a light batter with crunch so you can taste the onion. The fires are just okay. Most were a bit soggy for me.

It's spacious and a super cool venue, which was used for my daughter's high school fundraiser last weekend. I visited Double Clutch twice within one week. The first was a meeting held at the venue right before the event where everyone got to enjoy some beer (except those of us who don't love beer and opted for water) and some of the food that would be served at the event the following weekend. I munched on some turnbuckle pretzels, fried buffalo bites and cauli wings- all were pretty good! A few days later we sold out with a 300 person event, although honestly we could have fit way more in the space because there was plenty of room to move around. The band Go Ask Your Mum was playing lots of fun 80s and 90s hits, there was a buffet of the food we had tried a few days beforehand and the bar was busy. I opted for wine, which was good. The acoustics here aren't great, which i noticed during the meeting and during the event. The band was fun to listen to, but i could hardly hear anyone i was speaking to. But that's really my only complaint since it's a great space!

It's located right down the street from Northwestern University's football stadium (whatever the heck they're naming it). This is a nice hidden gem in Evanston. Not located downtown, it may have a chance to stick around a while. As Jane V. noted in her review, you are greeted by a delicious smoky smell when you enter the restaurant. It was an inviting smell (at least for me), others in our group thought we were walking into a barbecue joint and were less than thrilled, but the menu put them at ease as it has a lot of options. There were five of us and one couple decided to share a couple appetizers as their entrees. They ordered the Cauliflower Buffalo Bites, and the Macho Nacho. They were huge portions easily enough for us all to share. However, my wife and I don't see eye-to-eye with our eating habits (she is mostly vegetarian and I'm a card-carrying carnivore), so she was not about to share the smoky wings and cheesy tots with me. I opted for the Chicken Vesuvio entree, and she and our other friend both ordered the Inside-Out Grilled Cheese. I would say most the sandwiches looked good (no portobello for me, thanks). I would say though, the desserts are pretty generic, so we opted out, but their is a door inside the restaurant to the donut shop next door (which was closed), but I wanted to try that place, so I'll have to make another trek out there for them and review them later. I'm amazed that the donut shop, DB3 Donuts, does not appear on their menu at all, despite having a connecting door from one establishment to the other, but alas, I've heard their apple crisp and brownie are good, but neither were too appealing that night. All meals were delicious and I definitely need to go back and try other dishes. And may DB3, if they are open. Give this place some love as it is a nice gem in Evanston.

So much so that I ordered the smoked Sampler plate, and was I glad I did. I started off with their Top O' The Morning special Saint Patrick's cocktail (Titos, Curacao, and orange juice shaken and poured over ice). I really loved this drink. My hubby had a Margarita that was just delightful. Our appetizers were: Angry Shrimp (really delicious) shrimp with a spicy tomato garlic sauce. Served over polenta cake. Ahi Tuna Wanton (mango jicama salsa, avocado, and teriyaki sauce) This should be their signature appetizer). The presentation is impeccable. It appealed to our eyes before the 1st bite. And,the first bite, as well as the rest, was wonderful. We would gladly return here just for this. Our entrees were: Grilled Salmon with corn risotto, grilled asparagus, smoked tomato aioli. The salmon was well cooked to medium, not too dry, and not too rare. The plate was well balanced and everything was very tasty. Smoked Sampler My favorite! Rib tips, brisket, pulled pork, Texas toast, cole slaw. For dessert: Chocolate Brownie Apple Crisp Both were so good that we did not want to share! The next time you are in the Evanston area, you really must stop in for their delicious food!
