Cute suburban eatery with a surprisingly expansive menu super well executed with nice touches. Friendly and helpful service work together to get you anything you want, how you want it. Decent variety of wines by the glass, beer on tap and packaged, some fun cocktails. But back to the menu: SO MANY things look good on paper and then-- yay! They taste as good!! Looking forward to going back to try more things. Specials keep distracting us (have gone twice). Happy that they are now on inKind. Street parking is easy and portions are a good size, prices are reasonable.

As you may or may not know, brunch is my favorite food group and Ten Mile has made the list of places to go to so I can meet that requirement. Ten Mile has a nice causal vibe with an open floor space. And the outdoor space is nice as well, weather permitting. We had been here years ago for drinks when a friend of ours, Norm King, was working there. We didn't eat but had drinks there. A couple we hang out with wanted to do brunch and wanted to check out Ten Mile. Well color me very happy at the menu selection! There were multiple items I wanted to tried, which means I will have to go back. Fortunately everyone got something I wanted and I was able to try a little of each...still going back to get my own. I got the Tostada Benedict. I am a fan of Eggs Benedict, and this was a different take on it: eggs over easy, smoked brisket & pork shoulder, chili, white cheddar, pico de gallop, lettuce, sour cream, green chili hollandaise, crispy tortillas. Oh so good with the big pancake...I love a little sweet with my savory for breakfast or brunch. I also got the Mimosa Kit for $30, which came with a bottle of opera prima sparkling wine and a choice of three juices (Orange Juice, Peach Surprise or Cranberry). My GF's husband got the Breakfast Chimichanga (creamy scrambled eggs, blended cheese, potatoes, pork shoulder, onions and tomato, guacamole, sour cream, pico, roasted tomato salsa). This was very good as well, but I will admit I am bias as I love Mexican and pork. But this is another dish I want to try on my own. My GF had the Croque Madame and that was delish too (house smoked turkey and Swiss on grilled baguette with tarragon mornay, fried egg). This came with an arugula salad, but I would have preferred fries with it. The Doctor got the Hangover Fried Rice (smoked pork, fried eggs, ginger, fresh vegetables). Very different take on fried rice and for brunch and not something I would have even thought about, but it was very good. There is a decent kid's menu if you are bringing little ones with you. They do accept reservations through Resy, so you don't have to wait on a table, but people were just walking in. The service was very good, and we were we not rushed as we were chatting and eating, catching up on things. There is plenty of street parking on Central as well as the side streets, so think about making this a brunch destination if you are in the area.

Today the restaurant made me a gluten feee French toast. I loved it! I was very happy with the finished product.

I came here for a late brunch and it was super empty. Thankfully. This was my second time dining with this establishment. The first was on a weekday evening for dinner. So totally different feels and experiences. What did I like? * the service - from being seated, checked on, the patience and recommendations. * the nice quiet ambiance of the restaurant * clean bathrooms What didn't I like? * the cauliflower hash was tasty but I would've want more. Something was missing in the flavor. Don't get me wrong - it wasn't nasty. Far from it but I guess I wanted the establishment to put more into the vegetarian dish. *I also would've appreciate at least 1 or 2 vegan options as well. Would I return? Oh yeah! I would choose a different brunch menu item to explore more.

Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, but lunch did not start until 3 p.m. I had the Tostada Benedict. Their portions are very generous. The Benedict was shredded pork, beans , pico de gallo and sour cream. There was plenty of pork, but there could have been more lettuce, pico de gallo and green chili hollandaise . Two eggs topped the pork. My daughter had the fried chicken sandwich. The sandwich had 2 pieces of fried chicken topped with pickled onions and horseradish slaw. She had the green chili mayo on the side , which was spicy. The sandwich came with a side of fries. The sandwich was a good portion. There is indoor and outdoor seating, we opted to sit in side because the only outside table was in the sun. Overall, it was very good, we were disappointed they did not serve lunch and their website or menu does not indicate lunch hours.

A great spot for date night or hanging with friends/family. Would not recommend for families with small kids (puts a damper on the date night vibe). However, food is delicious & portions are more than enough. Would definitely return.

This was my second visit, and I have to say the dinner menu is better than the brunch menu. For brunch, I ordered the dude biscuit, which comes with bacon, a sausage patty, egg, and maple syrup. Individually, they're good, but assembled all together, it was not very appetizing. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy, and for $17, I was appalled at the portion size. It came with one biscuit, one sausage patty, and the gravy. It should not be called "biscuits and gravy" because it only comes with one biscuit! They did have a separate kids brunch menu, and I got the happy face pancakes for my children. I tried the pancakes, and those weren't bad. The breakfast potatoes came last, and they were not very good because they were undercooked potatoes. The flavor was good but I couldn't eat it because it was undercooked. Our waitress and the staff were super friendly, even during my first visit. I remember having the chicken sandwich for dinner and ordering the kids' cheese pizza, and those were good. Overall, I don't think I'll return for brunch, but maybe I'll go back for dinner.

We got the breakfast Sammie and it was so good!! Highly recommend. Service was great and the staff was accommodating and super nice. Comfortable seating and nice ambiance for brunch.

Came here for the first time during peak time on Sunday brunch without any reservations. Fortunately this area does not charge for parking on Sunday and we were lucky to find a spot on the street very close to the restaurant. We were also very lucky that they sat us despite not having reservations as that was the first question they asked us when we walked through the door. The menu was great and eclectic with a really innovative and creative names for their dishes. The overall ambience is very relaxed and casual which is great. It was unfortunate though that they had run out of a few items on the menu but I believe this is pretty common right now during this supply chain problem of Covid. I was surprised to see that they share a space with the donut shop next-door and they may be the same owner. Portions and pricing were decent considering that this area is pretty upscale and near the University therefore rent is higher in prices are expected to be higher. The food was delicious. The food was so tasty we cleaned off all of our plates. The only unfortunate part was that all the bacon arrived very very well done. I would definitely come back again as it is a very lively spot with good choice of food.

And if you're looking to go a little healthier you can get your single (or double) cheeseburger wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun. Burger patty seemed completely non-seasoned and absolutely none of the smoky flavor I've always associated with a Small Cheval burger. Kind of dry and overcooked, straight off a griddle. The fries were pretty good, best part of the meal. The chocolate shake was, somehow, kind of bland. Not sweet enough, typical fast food soft serve tasting. It's upsetting when you get a place in the suburbs and you have expectations based on what you had in the city. Then you go to the suburban location and you feel kind of taken advantage of. As though you somehow didn't know what to expect because you lived a few miles north. Like there maybe was a presumption you hadn't been to the real deal and the name would just be enough. The price is still the same, though. That part didn't change. Will not be back.

I sat at the bar, did not get so much as an icewater, let alone any eye contact, or even any acknowledgement that I have a pulse; I am at your bar; and at some point in time, down the line--I actually might want a MENU--which I had to personally ask for--over 20 minutes after seating myself. There were four workers on their staff, behind the bar. They did not seem to be doing much (of anything). I had to personally ask for my water refill, each and every time. The service is so completely slow and incompetent, I had to cancel an order and leave--it took so long, and I was having diabetes problems--still, however, for the price they try to charge for their drinks on tap, and the price they try to charge for their overrated (at best) food; the "bar talent" and/or professionalism/efficiency of their staff, from top to bottom--is considerably lacking. My experience at Bluestone is worse, Worse, WORSE--each and every following time I make the (poor) decision to go. I really wish Central and Prairie had other bars, with better culture, better professionals, and better "bar talent"--because a place like Bluestone would be GONE in FIVE MONTHS. As I checked out today, one of the bartenders, a young African-American male--made it a point--to tell me "he was giving me a great deal on my tab; half price off my second beer." There is a problem, though--I only ordered, and drank, one beer. He was clearly embarrassed (as he should be), when I explained this to him, and then he 1)stared me down, and 2) threatened me. That is a walking definition of U N P R O F E S S I O N A L. I will happily drive across the North Shore--than walk 200 yards to Bluestone. The food is decent. The beer on tap is solid...but the Glaring, overall lack of Bar Talent, along with the piss-poor and UNPROFESSIONAL service--I just...I can't...I can not, in good conscience--bring myself to ever go back there, again. I am 46 years old, and have worked in the restaurant/bar industry for 30 of them... It is "Amateur Hour" at Bluestone, every moment of every day. They do not even look at you (customers). Totally unaware, spaced-out, not-at-all focused...Not just (anybody) can be a decent bartender--it kind of helps to be somewhat "sharp", somewhat "alert", be somewhat cordial, friendly, or amiable...Nope! NONE of that, at Bluestone. What a waste--of perfectly-good real estate--in an otherwise beautiful part of Evanston. Bluestone is a STAIN on the Community.
