We dropped in for a quick dinner. This place is super busy. They make your food to order which is great. It's a serve yourself kinda place. They mainly do pick up business. It's inside a bowling Alley. The folks are really friendly and nice. The food is decent. The burger's are 5 oz. and made fresh. You get a nice brioche bun with fresh lettuce and tomatoes and cheese. The drink options aren't huge. It's not a place you linger or have a conversation. The onion rings are nice and crispy but for me I don't like the huge batter centric rings. Wow! What a burger. I saw an article on MSN listing Boba Burger as one of the best in the USA so coming in from out of town this is a place I had to try it and so glad I did. I ordered a double Korean burger and it was almost too much burger for me, but I finished it along with the delicious fries I ordered. The pineapple boba tea was also delicious. I think it's the first time I've had kimchi on a burger and it and it was an amazing addition to a burger. I'll need to get back there soon, excellent burger joint in kind of a weird location that's inside a bowling alley but so worth it and service was good. read more

Love these guys! Ever since I discovered this burger joint inside a bowling alley, I've been frequenting this establishment for years. I love their asian-inspired sandwiches which combine Spam and Pineapple and Pork Belly and all other fun stuff. Taste explosion in my mouth! I love their various salads as well and they offer those tiny but taste-explosive Lumpiang Shanghai's! Boba Burger is a really cool and totally unique spot tucked inside a bowling alley. It is super weird in the best way and genuinely fun. You can hear the pins crashing and the balls rolling down the lanes while you eat, which adds to the experience. The service was great. Friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I'd read a lot about this restaurant, but there just never seemed to be a time when it was nearby and convenient. So one day we carved out some time, and went directly there. The burgers are truly as good as all the reviews say. I had the bbq lechon burger, and the lechon was tender and juicy, not dry and chewy like some other places I've had it. Delicious! Another highlight was my drink, the mango boba, with mango jellies added (like gummies) - yum! My husband had the Boba burger, and while he didn't brave about it as much as I did the lechon, he also said it was very good. And he had the strawberry Boba with the strawberry beads added it in. Some of you have asked about alcoholic drinks, and while they don't sell them there, I asked the owner and he confirmed that you can buy them at the lounge in the bowling alley and carry them in. That's not a problem for anyone who would like a cocktail with their meal. It was overall a very positive experience. We arrived when there was hardly anyone else there, no line, and by the time we left an hour later it was busy but not packed. We really liked it, and will definitely be back. Please help support it. I ordered a double cheese burger and cheese fries as our friends told us that Boba Burger has great cheese fries (and I love cheese fries). My wife go the Banh Mi sandwich and our friends ordered shakes. To give you an idea about Boba Burger...it's a tiny little burger spot located in the Classic Bowl bowling alley. It takes up a corner spot right by the front entrance. It's a small space with the menu up on the wall, a tiny counter to order from, a small kitchen and a "dining area" with about four-to-five four-person tables. It's a cute little place. And now that you've read about the ambiance, let's get to the food. In a word, "awesome"! The burger was incredibly juicy and flavorful. Each bite juicier than the next. After I finished the burger, truthfully, I wanted to order another burger. It was so good. I'm looking forward to going back just for that great burger. And then I tried the cheese fries. Holy cow are these good. These are some lame frozen fries. They are good quality fries and the cheese just smother on top (just how I like it). Yum! I will definitely return with my Burger Club, but I'll come back on my own several more times just myself and anyone I can drag with me. Now on to the Banh Mi sandwich. Super Hidden Gem worth trying! We originally saw this on YouTuber Mikey Chen's video about Hidden Gems in Chicago Area. We were just out driving and saw the sign so we had to seize the opportunity to try it and we weren't disappointed! Parking isn't an issue. They share the lot with Classic Bowl since they're connected to it so they got a decent sized lot. You have to enter through the bowling alley to get into the restaurant. The bowling alley was nice and clean and so was the restaurant. Nothing too fancy but mega clean with a decent amount of seating. You can eat in or take it to go, that's up to you. Customer service was pretty good. Staff was polite and patient with us. You can tell they take their craft seriously. The staff also felt that they were a family which was nice. No issues on customer service at all. Food was delicious! We shared the Hawaiian Burger and some fries to go and we were super satisfied! Fries were delicious and just the right amount of saltiness! The Hawaiian burger was delicious and I think it matched the price. It doesn't look too big but the patty was thick and juicy. The spam complimented it just right. Between the two of us that burger filled us up. I'm not from here but I definitely see myself coming back next time. My boyfriend lives out here and he says he'll be back again! Outrageous burgers, boba and bowling? Sign me up! It's been a few years since I stopped in to Boba Burger, the restaurant inside Classic Bowl, the 1970s bowling alley. Seeing Yelp's "11 most outrageous Burgers" in the U.S., with the BBQ Lechon Burger named no. 9, made me curious so I drove to Morton Grove for lunch. Boba Burger is in the front of the bowling alley, but even so, I was confused because of the Waukegan/Caldwell street merge directly in front of Classic Bowl. I may have even made a somewhat unorthodox turn into the parking lot. There is ample parking. Enter Classic Bowl and then enter Boba Burger on the left. Unassuming, small, somewhat retro-looking -- hey, I got no Beef with that. I was flipping excited. I ordered the Seoul burger, 6 oz beef patty, cheese, kimchi, kalbi-glazed bacon, fried egg, lettuce, tomato-- as well as some Boba hand-cut fries. Also, I added an avocado smoothie with boba. Shall I recap? Lettuce dive in! A juicy delicious burger, reasonably priced, is a rare find! Did it meat my standards? I mustardmit it did! The burger was juicy, tasty with the addition of the kalbi bacon (nice and crispy), kimchi (more like a sauce), fried egg and nicely toasted bun. The only thing I did not relish was that the bun soon fell apart. They provided me with a knife and fork so I was able to finish the rest. Well done! The hand-cut fries were nicely browned, a little soft, but lightly salted and a generous portion. The avocado smoothie -- large, green, filled with soft and chewy boba -- let's face it -- it was not avocado this world, but it was tasty and good to try. I will try the BBQ Lechon on another visit. There are other interesting options that sound good also. Do I think that Boba Burger deserves the attention? Grill, you better believe it! I had the BBQ lechon which had a delectable fried pork with skin and onion rings. Half a burger was good enough to satiate my hunger. Also had some of their fresh cut fries - which was well-done like I like it. Nicely seasoned and wonderful on its own without ketchup. The food was cooked to order so it's not super quick service and the dining room is no frills. The staff is great though as they recognize their regulars and their orders. We drove quite a while to get here, but I will say, it was worth it. It's a small place & everything is made to order! So, if you're in a rush, then you may wanna go when you have enough time to sit & wait. We got some chilli & cheese fries, two burgers, some hot dogs, and drinks! The fries were some of the best I've had. The flavor was absolutely amazing & the cheese wasn't like that "nacho cheese" taste. The burgers were something I've never had before & it was definitely filling. It had a good flavor to it & the kimchi on mine wasn't over powering. I loved the runny egg on the Seoul burger as well. My absolute favorite thing was the Tokyo dog. I didn't realize the wiener itself was fried, and that took it to the next level. The fresh & crisp taste of the veggies, with the fried frank was sooo good. As for the drinks, the honey dew drink I had was delicious. Almost tasted like an agua Fresca! It was simply incredible. Kimchi, kalbi glazed bacon, fried egg. A perfect blend of flavors and textures, and no cutting corners on quality. So freaking good! The Thai iced tea is delicious, too. SECOND VISIT: It was so good I had to bring my fiance back with me. I guess that friendly guy at the counter owns the place with his brother. Good folks, I enjoy talking to them. She isn't as adventurous as me and ordered the more basic Boba Burger. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly seasoned, perfect sear. She was happy. This time I tried the BBQ Lechon Burger. It isn't as over-the-top as the Seoul Burger but it was still delicious. Lechon is roasted pork belly. Boba Burger is one of the best places in the burbs for a cheeseburger. It's honestly my favorite burger in the area. I usually get the regular Boba burger, but the BBQ Lechon burger is also amazing. Great bun, fresh, flavorful and juicy patty. I'm sad every time I finish it that I didn't get to savor it for longer. The rustic French fries are some of my favorite as well and they give you a ton. The hot dogs are great, and the Tokyo dog is a pretty cool concept for a hot dog. Definitely something I've never seen before - the tempura adds such a nice touch and the sriracha ketchup is so good. I also LOVE their fresh pickles. Both the beef and chicken Banh mi sandwiches are delicious and couldn't really decide which I like better.. I love both. Lastly, their salads are great. Love love love Boba Burgee because they always deliver exactly what I want and expect. I don't order their burgers anymore since I was diagnosed with gout (although I shortly ymiss them) but that's just the beauty. I used to come strictly for the burgers, dogs and boba but since, I've moved over to their bahn mi sandwiches which come in a variety of proteins (marinated chicken, pork (lechon) or seasoned beef. This is one of a variety of other choices outside the burgers and dogs that you can taste and be satisfied eating here. Their service is also on par and catering mostly to the bowlers bowling at the alley although I still come in strictly to eat here whether I bowl or not. As you might imagine, this place isn't that busy inside the restaurant because most people ordering are bowling at their lanes. Inside, there is ample dining area and it's pretty quiet outside the fact that you hear the bowling balls traveling down the lanes just outside the restaurant. Really delicious burgers and fries for a super reasonable price. All the burgers are under $10. I loved all the toppings for the various burgers they offer. My boyfriend got the Hawaiian burger and I got the Seoul burger. Both of us shared the chili cheese fries and got bobas as well. The fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Seoul burger was stacked pretty high and got a bit messy to eat with the egg yolk. But overall it was a delicious burger. I understand why this restaurant is the number one restaurant in the Northshore area. Parking is a bit difficult to find on a Friday night because the bowling alley has a lot of customers, but the parking lot is pretty big so you'll just have to circle around a bit. One of our favorite places! Entrance is through the bowling alley, which is a bonus if you like to bowl, or if you like plenty of parking, or both. Inside the restaurant is clean, modern-looking, and always seems to have available seating. (Possibly because some of their customers are eating while bowling!) Always a great burger--I love that you can add a jalapeño popper, right on the burger. The popper is jalapeño and cheese mixed together and fried in a wrap. There are lots of other options for burger toppings too, in case jalapeños isn't your thing. And let me tell you about how much I LOVE the Vietnamese iced coffee! It's amazing, I highly recommend it. So I FINALLY made it to this low-key but highly rated spot... yea, the hype is real. It's impossible to find a burger that satisfies me these days, there's only 2-3 that come to mind, this spot included. I had the Seoul Burger sans fried egg. The burger itself was nice and juicy and perfectly done, not over at all which is a small miracle. I was most impressed by the bacon. So may burgers come with soggy bacon but somehow this bacon stays crispy. It was some of the best bacon I've had period! Do yourself a favor and add it if you get get a different burger. I also enjoyed some fries and jalapeño poppers. The fries were good, not my favorite style but still very tasty. The poppers were excellent! Putting the ingredients inside what I think was an egg roll wrapper is a great way to serve them up and while sweet and sour dipping sauce might sound strange it really works well. Service was great, very friendly and helpful staff make a big difference. Something to note. It was cold today, and bobaburger was pretty cold as well. They're right against several windows and a door so make sure to layer up if your not bowling. If you do bowl, you can eat by your lane so no issues there (I've never been to classic bowl but it looks like a great alley). Tried the Seoul Burger and a Tokyo dog. The Seoul burger had kimchi added. I didn't notice on the menu but kalbi flavored bacon and an egg were included. Aside from the kimchi it tasted like a standard burger with the added boost from the Bacon and egg. It was good but the Korean flavors were muted. I would see if more kimchi could be added next time. The Tokyo dog was a Tempura fried hot dog with a Japanese inspired carrot and radish lightly flavored vinegar dressing and nori. I've ordered this before and appreciate the difficulty in keeping the tempura batter crisp. Good try but I would work on bringing the tempura batter to the forefront. Fries were crisp. Only condiments were ketchup salt pepper. I would have liked sriracha. The bowling alley was not full of league bowlers and the restaurant was quiet and empty.
