Freshly made halal options available here. Peri peri wrap with spinach was amazing with the garlic lemon flavor. The rice bowl with mild flavor was also good. Definitely on the spicer side especially for a toddler. The fries were fire and had a hint of lemon water to it! It's safe to say, I'll be back soon.

12/10 service & food! Our favorite spot for peri peri chicken after searching for a couple years when our previously favorite place closed down. So glad to have found this gem! The parking lot is a little tough to get into when you're making a left, but otherwise, zero complaints. Our go-to is the half dark chicken in medium sauce with a side of hot sauce, spicy gyro (do not skip!!), and either a chicken wrap or the chicken wings with lemon herb and hot sauce. So much freaking flavor. The gyro is the crispiest in town. It's cooked exactly like you dream about and the spicy gives it a total boost like never before. We even whip up leftovers with eggs, mozz, and their garlic sauce. Our dinner order lasts us three separate meals each so it's a total score. They provide lots of sauce without having to ask or beg. Staff is welcoming & kind. Picking up my order, I noticed the restaurant is really clean and cared for. They seemed to get orders out quickly which is always great too. Definitely adding this spot to the monthly rotation.

I love this place! I always go to Chicago Mosque, so finding a restaurant 5 minutes away was perfect! My first time trying their food was from their falafel bowl and it was amazing! The flavor is off the charts and the spice level is perfect, especially if you're someone who enjoys spicy food. I would definitely recommend, I've already been here twice!

Tried out Flame On Peri Peri Grill and it gave solid lowkey vibes -- think casual hangout, family-friendly, and no-pressure dining. The ambiance leans warm and welcoming, perfect for a chill dinner with the fam or a laid-back catch-up with friends. It's halal (a plus), and the space is clean with everyone kind of doing their own thing -- no frills, no fuss. I ordered the Chicken Tender Rice Bowl. Flavor-wise? Decent. Not quite a firework show, but it got the job done. It's the kind of meal you appreciate more for its comfort than its creativity. Customer service is friendly but standard -- you're not getting a white-glove experience, but they're helpful and polite. Pricing? Pretty fair for what you get. Portion sizes are generous and definitely better than some other places that'll charge double for half the food. TL;DR: Solid takeout option, easy on the wallet, good for casual vibes. Don't expect gourmet -- but if you're hungry and want halal with no stress, this is a reliable go-to. Would I return? Yeah, especially for a quick meal with family or a relaxed solo bite.

First things first, this place is no short of great food! Their sauces are on point and the quality of meat is excellent. Then there's the staff: they are super friendly and always willing to help and be generous with extra sauce. I ordered the chicken tender rice bowl. It came with 4 grilled chicken tenders that were charred perfectly and then added with a lemon and herb/hot sauce. The chicken is tender and moist added with the flavors of the sauce make this a knock out of the park! The rice is soft and flavorful as well and comes with salad and tastes great with the garlic and hot sauces. I also ordered the gyros wrap as well. The gyros is fresh and cut thick to ensure you get meat in each bite. It is savory and amazing with their tzatziki sauce and peri-seasoned fries. All the meat is Zabiha-Halal certified and nothing short of amazing taste here, you need to come check them out asap!

Crypto (Double bacon cheeseburger) Cheese Fries

The Double Crypto Burger was stacked and flavorful--juicy patties, crispy bacon, fresh toppings, and a great sauce. The cheese fries were loaded and hit the spot. Big portions, good taste, and worth it if you're hungry.

This was really good! The spicy chicken sandwich was delicious. The fries were fresh and tasty. The gyro was also great. I would definitely come back especially since they are open late!

New storefront in a new strip mall.

This is a nice, new family run business in a brand new strip mall. We saw they had some enticing $7.95 lunch specials and dropped in to try their chicken and veggie lunch specials. We did carryout but their airy and sunny dining space is open for normal business. Both lunches were good and flavorful and also good values. The chicken and rice were fresh and moist and I picked the mild peri spice level which had just the right amount of kick for me. Wife enjoyed the 3 paneer strips and 3 falafels in her veggie lunch. When another guy appeared and packaged the order, I noticed he looked just like the friendly guy (in white tee) that took the order and asked if they were twins and related. Ha, and that was when I learned it's a family business, and they're all related there - that's Ali, Joe, and Shaun in the photo. With a family portrait, I told them I would feature them in my Yelp review but could not guarantee their fame. Here you go, and good luck guys, and let's support our local business! Thank you!

Just expect good food, fast. Their menu is simple: burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, fries, pop, and milkshakes. The burgers come in either a single, double, or triple stack, with cheese. I got the cheeseburger and hubby got the two on two (double stack) and we were satisfied with the burgers. It was simple, juicy, grilled and good. The whole family loved the fries. Service was pretty fast, we got ours in less than 10 minutes. Dining tables are available inside to eat, and also a few tables outside in the parking lot if you prefer the outdoors. If you are familiar with the movie The Sandlot, they have their pictures all over the walls. Not sure if they are directly affiliated with the movie, but it definitely brings back that nostalgia. For those who don't know, Small Cheval is the fast casual version of Au Cheval which I've had the opportunity to try in NYC. There's plenty of locations throughout Chicago so definitely make it a stop when you're in town. Now is it as good as Au Cheval? Definitely not but at one-third of the price point, it's hard to complain. The beef patties are well-seasoned with crispy edges and just the right amount of fattiness. My main complaint is that there wasn't nearly enough dijonnaise sauce or pickles, making this pretty dry. The bun was nicely buttered and toasted but almost took away from the contents inside the burger. The Famous Fried Chicken Tenders were also a good try. I could tell the chicken was clean & high quality but there was some flavor I couldn't quite place which made it a bit off-putting; thankfully it wasn't super noticeable especially with the sauces. The Golden Fries were delicious and paired well with the burger & tenders! Even the Cookies & Cream Milkshake was solid! Classic milkshake with a good balance of creaminess, sweetness, and texture from the cookie bits. The interior was also bright, spacious, and comfortable! All in all, really solid try!

It's like going to a burger place with a bar inside. I would also have to add with a side of a malt shop thrown in. The lady who took our order was very friendly. Both her and the guy making the shakes seemed competent and efficient. They were both just over worked. There was a rush when we came in so it put them behind. Everything was in good repair. There was no damage to the seats and tables and for the most part they were clean. The things that didn't work for me were the possible understaffing, and the lack of a good onion. I asked for raw onion on my burger. I inspected my burger for it and couldn't find it. So I asked for some more. She was very helpful and handed me a tiny container of minced onions. Apparently that's all they have. I do like a good slice of onion on my burger. If you're looking for a good quick bite to eat or a very tasty shake, this is a great choice! I would come back if the mood struck.

In the meantime, I ordered a Hot Chick (medium heat), with a side of fries, some extra pickles, and the garlic sauce to make my Slavic heart happy. The food came out fresh from the bubbling oil, it could be handled without burns, but clearly spent no time under a lamp. Both the chicken and the fries were fried to a delectable crunch. No twice-fried-as-an-excuse here, genuinely well done. My only note is that it feels as though the fries and chicken *may* have spent an extra 15 seconds in the fryer. While the innards were tender, it felt as though a tinge of moisture was sacrificed without need. The fries were seasoned perfectly, and other than the usual delight of dipping them into everything on the plate, they were perfect as they were. Fantastic amount too, not the starch overload of Five Guys, but not a skimpy serving either. The chicken sandwich was the real star. The medium contained some proper spice without having smoke come out the ears. It was well sauced, and had a great hit of acid from the pickles. Out of left field came the slaw: I was not expecting to like this to the point of almost leaving it out. However, it was fresh, felt homemade, and wasn't a mayonnaise bomb. Would order the again without complaints or reservations. I also had a chance to try their house-made lemonade. I appreciate that they use zero-calorie sweetener to cut down on sugars. However, it came out too sweet for my liking. It would be helpful to have options of level and type of sweet. Final notes: The server behind the counter was very welcoming and friendly, and the food came out in a reasonable time frame considering how fresh everything was. Final verdict: A case where I say it's a good thing Nash Bros is a little bit of a hike, otherwise I might visit too much for my health. Barring some minor notes, everything was scrumptious, and I'd happily order it all again (and likely will!)
