This is a small shop with seating available outside. While it's not the fanciest place, the food is phenomenal. We got the BWB Double Smash Burger and when I tell you my first bite was absolute bliss, I'm not exaggerating. It's delicious. The woman who took our order was also very nice and was very patient as we looked through the menu on our phones. Unfortunately, the screens didn't display a menu. She also brought our food out to where we sat. I think what really stood out during my meal is how kindly she was to every patron, from someone picking up their food to the kids who hung around eating their food and ordering shakes and whatnot. Strange experience. I've never been here before but it was close to an event I was attending and the reviews looked good. I got the pulled pork sandwich, kids hot dog, and chocolate shakes. The pulled pork was very good- although a bit on the fatty side- and it was enormous. The hot dog was also good. The fries were soft/ soggy - I like crispy fries so they were disappointing. But the shakes were odd- both chocolate shakes were very sour- not sure if it was bad milk or if they added additional ingredients (raspberry? Malt?). But we had to toss them as they weren't edible which was a shame because the consistency was perfect. Also the inside looked a bit on the dirty side. read more

A solid choice for burgers. BWB prides themselves on their smash burger, which comes tasty and gooey with cheese and grilled onions. They also offer a pub burger, for those who don't care for the smash style. It's good, but the smash burger is better. Their fries tend to be kinda dry and flavorless, so dressing them up with carne asada or truffle oil might be a good choice. Hot dogs are the standard Chicago dog, done right, tasty but not hard to find around here. The shakes are fine, but nothing stood out to me to make them worthy of the top billing they get here. BWB also offers bowls and chicken, haven't tried them. The venue is pretty much takeout only, although there is a table on the sidewalk nearby. Service is quick and friendly. If they had better fries, they'd be rock stars, as it is, I'm happy to come here when I'm looking for a good burger. read more

When BWB reopened late last year with a name change and new menu, we were psyched. We ordered burgers from them in the past and really enjoyed our meals so for New Year's Eve, we returned for takeout with BWB Shakes. This time, we ordered their Wagyu burger, Grilled Mahi Mahi sandwich, 10 piece wings and Oreo shakes to go. Everything we ordered was excellent and our food stayed fresh and hot. To us, the meal was worth the drive to Highland Park. For those familiar with the old menu offerings, you'll notice the recent menu has changed. Some popular items (i.e. The E-I-E-I-O burger which had bacon, cheddar cheese, fried egg and house made Bacon Bourbon jam) were eliminated. I asked the owner about it but fear not! You can still order their classic E-I-E-I-O through online ordering and customize your burger. For a delicious fast casual meal, try them out. It's close to Ravinia where you can grab a quick bite to eat prior to the show. There are few places on my list where I go for burgers and after 3 successful visits, they are one of the best burger shops in town. read more

So first I was excited to see a burger place next door to Ravinia Brewery because I really wanted a burger with my beer. I walked in to find it's just a fast food to go spot with a couple tables outside. The online menu is way different than the inside menu and the inside menu was out of 50 percent if the menu items. I was one of four customers in my group to order food. i ordered first and 20 minutes later my food was done. I ordered a pub burger medium well and it was dripping with blood - undercooked to say the least and took 20 minutes . The pub burger wasn't even on the inside menu, I only asked for it because I saw it online. i wish the owner well in his endeavors, however I wouldn't recommend this place unless In the area and not many options. It's tough because once you have a really good smash burger it feels like all other non-smash burgers are just weird loads of meat on a bun. Frustrating, with bad food and worse service !!!! Placed $56 order yesterday incl $5 tip since it was a curbside order. They would not, & will not, answer phone so placed order online. After waiting for curbside, nobody came with food. So my 90 yo mother decided to go inside so she could see the place. After calling for assistance and no staff in sight or responding, she retrieved the food from the case. The sweet potato fries were cold, hot dogs lukewarm, the falafel were hard as rocks and dry, and my smashburger was nothing like picture. There was no "smash" or flatness, no crust, meat was thick and gray. No char or grill AT ALL. Plus, we didn't get our drinks. I didn't know about this place until my wife and I tried it as part of an Elite perk a few nights ago, and I'm glad we did! It's a small place so I almost missed it while looking for it. I only saw two people working, one in front and one in the back, but they were both wearing masks and the guy up front was nice and talking with a few other customers that came up. I got the E-I-E-I-O Burger with hand-cut fries and my wife got the Chicken Shawarma Bowl. I really liked my burger! The patty itself was a little dry and the egg was cooked a little more than I personally like, but it was great when combined with the bacon, cheese, and that amazing Bacon Bourbon jam. The jam may have been my favorite part - sweet but not smothered all over to the point where it's overwhelming. I took a few bites of my wife's Chicken Shawarma Bowl; not enough to give a proper review of it but enough to say I like it and would get it myself next time! I will say that the hand-cut fries, though they had good seasoning, were on the soggier side. But it can't always be helped these days since we can't dine in and get it as fresh as it can be. Original plan was to eat at Ravinia Brewing Co., but we were craving a burger. How great that we sat outside and could order from here or Ravinia Brewing as they share the same kitchen and owner. We got the smash burger just how it comes with grilled onions, pickles and a thousand island like sauce. Omg! Finally a smash burger that is simple yet oh so delicious! I've been so disappointed in smash burgers in our area and I was so delighted with BWB's! It was absolutely delicious! The fries were amazing too; piping hot and very fresh. I wish I took a photo but we scarfed it down very quickly. I had the Legally Blue cocktail from the brewing company and it was very good and refreshing. My dad had a Bloody Mary (both pictured). I highly recommend and I'll be back to try the tacos at Ravinia Brewing. read more

Yet another Sat night at home (thank you pandemic) and we were looking for some tasty food to be delivered. After looking at the BWB Rocks menu thought appealed to my family of 5 picky eaters. Cheeseburgers and chicken fingers for the kiddos and the far east bowl for my husband and I. The kids gobbled up the cheeseburgers and chicken fingers (have to admit the couple bites I had were quite tasty). And the fries and chips that came with the kids meals were sooo good. My husband and I thought the Far East bowl was so so. We've been trying to eat healthy so got it sans rice, but maybe that's what it was missing. It was super spicy and needed something to get rid of the fire in my house. The kids fries did the trick...and there went healthy. Ordering via Yelp/Grubhub was easy peasy and delivery was fast. I ordered a bowl here- the Nuts and Bolts bowl ($11.99) with the Peri Peri sauce for the chicken. Overall good amount of food that fills one adult for a meal. The chicken was nicely cooked, not overly dry for chicken breast, which a lot of times it can be. A good amount of each item nicely mixed together with good flavors that surprisingly complements each other. The bowl comes with garlic parmesan sauce over it and I do wish it had more or gave more on the side. I also ordered a couple of kids meals for the kids, the chicken tenders ($5.99). Two large chicken tenders with a nice sized portion of fries. The chicken tenders also come with a dipping sauce of choice, I chose ranch. This ranch tasted homemade, creamy and good. The portion size for the kids meal was more than sufficient. Pick up was easy curbside and the items were nicely packed in the bags. read more

Hubby ordered Buffalo chicken sandwich and I ordered the spicy jalapeño burger. The sandwiches come with chips. We got a beer next door and sat in the tent. I loved my burger. It had great spice and was so juicy. The chips were a nice crunchy break. Hubby liked his chicken. He ordered medium spicy and it was just right for him. The EIEIO burger was 5 stars, even my kids split it and raves about it. The wings were great quality and good sizes! The horseradish dipping sauce was delicious, highly recommend trying it. Not over powering but with a slight flavor. We haven't tried the 6 pack of beer but we are looking forward to that and I'll update my review then. BWB Rocks is a solid choice for a local burger option, but they also have wings and bowls, too. They are conveniently located in downtown Ravinia. They have no indoor seating but do have a few outdoor tables to sit but this is primarily a carry out/delivery operation. I still need to try out more items on their menu because I keep going back to the old faithful of the E-I-E-I-O Burger, which is a breakfast burger as it comes with bacon, an egg, and bacon jam. Fries are a $1 up-charge over chips. It's your call here as I enjoy both options. Overall, I've always enjoyed my food here and will continue to support local businesses. I will be back. read more

They simply aren't setup for carryout. Should not be offering UberEats! There wasn't much wait time from prep to my front door yet the burger + fries were soggy. They use moisture-sealed packaging - terrible for their dishes! Burger and fries had that homemade taste! They actually serve chips with their burger so they can charge +$1 for fries (rolls eyes). It was a good quality burger. I'd say on par with Pixca's $17 burger. No ketchup provided. The K-pop wings... need work. They haven't mastered Korean wings or they are confused what they are offering. Is this Asian flavors on wings? Will they move to double fry? Only time will tell. read more

Went here the other day with my friend. We both got bowls and they were really good. We weren't able to pay with Apple Pay at BWB so we walked next door to Ravinia Brewing Co and had to reorder and pay but it really wasn't a big deal at all. They served us our food in the outdoor seating, I ate some of my bowl but it was so much food that I was able to eat it for 2 more meals after that too. I am not a small portions eater either, the food was great and I'll definitely be coming back. I love the restaurants and convenience of the shops in the Ravinia district. I had heard so much about this place, and finally got to try it last week. It was very easy to order online, and the curbside pickup was very easy, too. I wanted to try a bowl, but had a hard time choosing between all of the options. I finally chose one with tofu and rice, although I considered farro (so excited to have this healthy option instead of rice), and it was delicious! Decided to check this place out after reading good reviews about it. Just like its name, it Rocks! There is no seating here just outside on the street that the town has set up for dining during the pandemic. We arrived and stepped inside to place our order. We were told that it would be better and faster if we just went on their website and ordered that way. They were correct and the website worked great! They even texted me when the order was ready. Hubby and I each picked what we wanted from the online menu. We both chose bowls. I had the Rocks Border bowl with Peri Peri sauce and a side of ranch dressing just combat the heat of the Peri Peri. The Border bowl comes with chicken, avocado, black beans, corn, cilantro, lime and white rice. I loved the whole combo and mixed it up in my bowl to get an explosion of flavors in every bite. The white rice was nice and sticky just the way I like it. Hubby opted for the Shawarma bowl. This one comes with chicken, hummus, roasted red peppers, artichokes, hearts of palm, arugula and Portuguese rice. He loved it too. In their defense, I had it delivered...but even a timely delivery would have not saved an over cooked and dry ei ei o burger (no egg) and burnt Korean barbecue wings and old fries.
