a plastic cup with a straw in it - A pink frozen drink in a plastic cup with a clear straw, sealed with a branded sticker that reads 'Washed Don’t #GetScammed,' is placed on a speckled granite countertop. The drink appears cold with some condensation on the cup, and the straw is positioned diagonally across the cup.

After a long day of work I wanted to unwind with a margarita. Slushed is right up there street from my house so I figured I would give them a try. Upon entering it was a complete experience. Not only were the slushed alcohol beverages amazing. They also had decorated there walls to recreate photo ready backgrounds so you can take pics while waiting for your drinks. I definitely obliged and took a few pics. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the types of liquor and offering suggestions to make sure I got exactly what I needed. Ask about the slush sauce, you won't regret adding it to any beverage. The drinks very flavorful and had the perfect alcohol to flavor ratio. They don't skimp on the alcohol! Will definitely be coming back.

Trying a new daiquiri shop in our town! - A person is holding a cup of pink frozen drink with a straw and a stir stick in front of a Slushed store. The store has a sign with a colorful logo and offers daiquiris and frozen beverages. The scene is set in a parking lot with clear weather and a blue sky.

The food was genuinely excellent, and the service was warm and attentive throughout. The bed was also a standout -- more comfortable than what I've experienced at most four-star hotels. I also loved the in-room Nespresso machine, which was a great touch. The only drawbacks are the location and setting. It's not ideal if you want to be close to a more metropolitan, walkable area, and being right on the creek means there can be quite a few bugs, especially in the evening. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a relaxing, stylish getaway with great food and very comfortable rooms.

This charming, quaint boutique hotel is located in a residential neighborhood in Round Rock, TX. The Ruby Hotel & Bar is situated along Brushy Creek in historic downtown Round Rock. The hotel has 39 uniquely designed rooms and suites, in the suburbs of Austin, TX. The hotel blends mid-century modern design with natural surroundings, creating a chic vibe. The property is distinctly divided into to major buildings...the hotel and the bar. There is a random small building up front also...not sure what that buildings for. There is also outdoor seating, which would be pleasant in the summer. Last night we had freezing temperatures, so sub-optimal for seating outside. When we entered the bar, we felt transported to another place in time. Retro looking furniture at the entry with finger dialed phones...my nieces and nephews would likely not have any idea what these little machines called telephones were. The bar was a mix of old - building built in the 1960s....new - modern mirrors and bar. There was signage at the front of the bar that stated to seat yourself and place your order from the bar (different set up...for sure). We ordered the hummus plate minus pita bread plus more cucumbers. Alan, our server was very accommodating to make that switch. We had herbal hot tea (chamomile and pomegranate berry). We listened to the 3 person band, who sang music from Johnny Cash to Bob Marley and so many different genres in between. What a lovely evening...date night score!

And, at both breakfasts Amy made me feel especially welcome! The table came with a bottle of water for self-service, which I appreciated. The wine list was of good quality. My server at dinner was able to give me a solid recommendation for one to pair with my salmon. She was dead on with how well it complimented the fish. As for the salmon, it wasn't overly seasoned and was incredibly flaky. It was a good size as well. For breakfast, The Breakfast Plate's eggs were cooked perfectly with appropriately cooked bacon. I enjoyed the potatoes that accompanied it as well. The Buttermilk Pancakes meal was a failure though. The pancakes were gooey inside. My server, Amy, offered to have them remade, but I declined the offer. So I accepted a parfait, which was easily one of the best I've had in Austin. The granola with the berries were perfectly balanced, and the granola wasn't super chunky. Amy was 100% invested in my meal satisfaction. The dining room is quite pretty with lovely set tables. Every time I ate, I felt a tad underdressed! But they don't care if you're comfortably casual, and i saw a family with small children looking very relaxed and vacationy and they were welcome.

That's because we later realized that it was actually the Cambria Hotel's in-building restaurant. We also realized we didn't need reservations, since we and one other family were the only ones dining in for Sunday brunch. The woman who attended to us was very friendly and accommodating. I was able to get a flavorful cappuccino and eggs benedict made vegetarian friendly. The Hollandaise sauce was swapped out for queso, which was a fun twist! All-in-all, a great brunch was had by all. The food was not the best we'd ever had in regards to other brunch places, but knowing that crowds are not a problem here makes this a great back-up spot if the other brunch places in town are backed up!

It's definitely a destination, in the sense that you're not going to just stumble across it on your next walk. I happen to love this vibe. The crowd skews a bit older, despite the fact that cocktails range from $8 - 10. When I went, it was chill, and a big country band was out jamming on the gazebo. There's also a smaller stage indoors. They brew/distill everything on sight and I've been told there are sporadic tours, which I really want in on. Hopefully those start up again soon! Dropped in to kill some time and grab a bite to eat... and left super impressed yet again! The vibe here is perfectly laid-back....chill atmosphere, no pretension, just a spot to relax with great drinks and food. Shoutout to the beer master Eric behind the bar! He's incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what he pours. He shared this awesome line that stuck with me: "Every good beer has a story, and the story should be told!" Made the whole experience feel more personal. I went with tap #13, Juicy Fish--a hazy IPA from WeldWerks Brewing Co. at 8.6% ABV. Wow, what a juicy, flavorful beast! Packed with tropical hops, smooth, and dangerously easy to drink for that ABV. Definitely hit the spot. For food, I had 5 wings tossed in the Blazin Ghost Pepper sauce. It's described as a smoky blend with mild ghost pepper heat, and it delivered exactly that....great smokiness upfront, building warmth without incinerating your mouth (perfect if you like heat but not torture level). Wings were crispy, juicy, and tender too. Rounded it out with the Carnivore pizza, loaded with meats and just the right amount of char on the crust. Hand stretched and fresh, it paired really well with the beer. If you're in the Pflugerville area and love craft beer (especially with knowledgeable staff who actually talk about it), wings, or pizza, this place is a winner. Will definitely be back again and again to catch more of the rotating taps and hear more stories from Eric! Get em while you can. They are Beer today gone tomorrow.

The Bichota cocktail was a standout--sweet, refreshing, and with just enough of a kick to keep you sipping slowly. The Old Fashioned was equally impressive: sweet yet balanced, served in a stylish glass with a unique holder that made the experience feel elevated. For food, the chicharrón with fried yuca and tostones was perfection. The pork was fried to a crisp golden shell without being greasy, and seasoned just right--not too salty, but enough to make every bite crave-worthy. The yuca and tostones were cut to the perfect thickness for even cooking, with a satisfying crunch outside and tender inside, especially when dipped into their garlicky sauce. The cheese sticks are an absolute must-have--crispy outside, oozy inside, and dangerously addictive. And the arepas? Exceptionally good--stuffed with beans, cheese, beef, and sweet plantains for that perfect salty-sweet balance. Every plate showed attention to texture, seasoning, and presentation. Price Considering the quality of ingredients, creative plating, and generous portions, the prices felt fair for a fusion dining experience. The cocktails were crafted with care and worth every penny. Appetizers could easily be shared, making it easy to get variety without breaking the bank. Environment We sat outside and it was amazing for groups, dates, and inside it is super cool. The décor is not fancy but really fun Austin style. There is a section bar where they play music which I want to try. Service The service was cool and amicable. It looks the server was new but he did give recommendations. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great pairing suggestions. Dishes came out at a good pace, and drinks were refreshed quickly. You could tell the staff was proud of the food they were serving, which made the whole experience even better. Overall: If you're looking for a place where Latin flavors meet creative execution, this spot is worth the visit.
