Came here on a weekday afternoon and they offered me a sample of the honey cinnamon and it was really tasty with a nice sweetness to it. I ordered the black drip cold brew and had one of the chocolate chip cookies. The coffee is super smooth and excellent, very delicious and aromatic with all the flavors retained in the cold brew. No need to add sugar! There wasn't a hint of bitterness and I thoroughly enjoyed my cup. I love a good Houston themed place so already the name is great. I've tried the gingerbread oat latte and it's really good. They also give you samples of their product if it's your first time there and they explain their process which is cool. The guy was very nice and mellow while taking our order. Chill vibes for sure. I came again before work this morning and although it was empty this time around, the vibe in the place is still chill. God i wanted to like this coffee shop so bad, but absolutely not. The place is really cool but the parking is obviously downtown parking, i paid $3.50 for 3 hours. That aside though and only focusing on the coffee itself the easiest way to put this is, the coffee tastes like it comes from a can or a bottle... and that's because it literally does, it's bottled coffee. It tastes like something you get at a gas station. I loved the fact that it's drip coffee but i felt under the impression that somehow everything is being done on the spot and was disappointed to know that they basically just took a bottle out the fridge and served it to me in a cup LMAO. I will never be back, the coffee was insanely too sweet, neither of the cups we got even tastes like coffee and it's beyond me how this place is managing to only have 5 star reviews. This is not a 5 star place. Is it true what they say about the owner of the coffee shop being really nice and offering samples, without a doubt. This is not a personal attack against him by any means he was a great person, but I'm genuinely confused how this place can have 5 stars and not a single bad review, i understand coffee is subjective, but I have tried 28 coffee shops in the past month and this was the one cup of coffee I wasn't able to finish. read more
