Fried chicken, Fried Okra

This place is great! If you're looking for a healthier version of fried chicken please give this place a try! Even if you're not, still a great spot. The staff is lively and knowledgeable. It has the same vibe as any other fried chicken spot, with the exception of the extensive list of sides and sauces. They also have a delicious looking list of desserts that I wish I had room to try.

Banana pudding and chocolate jar deserts with a brownie.

This was our first time getting desert here only because we're always so full. Well, this time, we got the sweets jars and absolutely not disappointed! We got chocolate and banana pudding jars along with a brownie. All are very tasty! We definitely will make room from now on for this sweet treat!

First off I LOVE that they show love and support to Steele high school. Makes me want to come here every chance I get to show the love back. Great service tonight. Order came out fast and was on point. Food was hot and good!!! Restaurant was clean. All the tables were cleared. And they had on the college games on the TVs! Great experience, can't wait to come back for more!!!

Soon to disappear...meal!

Drove around this place quite a few times and told myself to stop there many times but would forget. Finally was able to dine in. The place has ambiance and spacious, has machine sodas, strawberry and regular lemonade (all with free refills). Ordered classic meal # and #4. Both meals weren't disappointing. The chicken tender are tasteful and the fries hot and delicious! They have condiments on each table including ketchup sauce, and menu. One of the cashier walked around asking if things were okay and if we needed anything. Thought that was nice. The cashier informed me that if I completed the survey on my receipt, I would get a free brownies ....well, not only did we do the survey but we got the brownies but they were soft, amazing, and addicting.

Very clean!

After 8 the food takes a long time to come out so don't go if you're in a rush. Chicken just tastes bland but sauces make up for it.

Hometown Eats. What an exquisite little eatery/bakery! So happy to have found this place, which has…read morebeen under my nose for the past year apparently. Small, but comfortable place that has a few tables inside and out. Sell coffee and baked goods but also has a nice little breakfast/brunch menu. The owners ran the place and really seemed "happy" to see us, took time to walk us through the menu, offer suggestions, etc. just extremely "comfortable" place to be from the moment we walked through the door. My wife and I always pick two entrees and share. We went with the breakfast sandwich and the biscuits and gravy and we were not disappointed. The house made brioche bun for the sandwich and the biscuits were out-of-this-world delicious. Based on that, I would wager that the other baked goods they had displayed (scones, cinnamon rolls, etc) would have been wonderful! (I'll be back soon to confirm this) Back to the food...the sandwich was very good- egg was perfectly "over hard" and high quality cheese and bacon. The maple-chipotle mayo absolutely made the bite. Next time I will ask for extra, maybe slathered on both halves of the bun. The flavor of that mayo was unlike anything I've tasted- thoroughly enjoyed it and it complimented the overall flavor of the sandwich so well. Delicious!!! As already mentioned the biscuits were outstanding...which is not something that I say lightly. While I will always try biscuits and gravy, I am usually disappointed and it is typically because of biscuits that are too dense and too dry. These were neither- they were incredible and I'm not sure what gave them the touch of "sweet" but that little touch took the flavor of the biscuit over the top for me. Finally, the gravy was perfect from the amount of sausage to the elegant "sage-iness" of the bite. With respect to the quantity of gravy, it is not uncommon for places to not give enough gravy. The ratio of gravy to biscuit must be difficult to master, well they've done it at Northern D'Lights!! Just incredible experience and we will be back, on the regular! Give this place a go...great place!

My husband got the breakfast bowl with egg, veggies, and bacon. We were the only ones there which for barely 7:30am is understandable, the man behind the counter was very nice and friendly. Over all we loved the quiet breakfast to kick off our morning and will definitely be back.

At first glance , I thought the restaurant was absolutely adorable, i love that they repurposed an old home , and they kept a lot of really neat vintage pieces and a look as far as atmosphere goes. I felt it was very welcoming. I also love the fact that you could see the cooks in the kitchen. The service was really great.I don't believe we had an empty glass or ever had to ask for a refill on our drinks. Now for the food! When I tell you it is probably one of the best meals I've had in a while.I am not lying. My chicken was cooked to perfection. The flavor of my dish was absolutely delicious and comforting. The vegetables were cooked to perfection, i don't remember the last time I wanted more cooked carrots on my plate! My friends that join me , really had nothing but great things to say about it. Everybody agreed I picked well! We ordered seared scallops wrapped in bacon for the table, my scallop was so good.I almost didn't want to share. One of my friends also got their crusted fish (not pictured) and the brazed beef dish, ( also not pictured) I would one 100% go again as well as refer this restaurant to anybody who really wanted delicious food.

I easily counted at least 10 flies that we were having to swat away from our food, we were seated inside. S&P on the table was needed and should have been provided without asking. Cornbread should have been offered complimentary. We ordered the cornbread but did not finish it as it had an off taste and some cross contamination in the butter dish. Grilled Shrimp skewer was overcooked and unexpectedly had something like chili powder. Roasted vegetables were bland and needed some seasoning or at least salt. Husband enjoyed the pork chops but side of fries were lacking in crispness and flavor. Pork chops increased the review from one star to two. I had hopes for the bread pudding and it did have good flavor BUT was lacking the key ingredient of rum, burboun, or whiskey. I'm not sure how the reviews are as good as they are or how they stay in business. Do not recommend! The one saving grace was that we came here to use our AMEX Resy benefits, so not much out of pocket.

The good: The beer selection was solid, and the cucumber margarita was genuinely delicious. The not-so-good: * Wedge Salad: The salad itself was fine, but the highlight--bacon--was extremely sparse. Six tiny squares were placed on the edge of the plate, which felt oddly rationed and not nearly enough to enjoy throughout the salad. * Mussels: This was the most concerning dish. We expected mussels in a white wine and garlic sauce, but instead received them in a buttery yellow-orange sauce with a very unpleasant odor. The smell was not "fishy" but something far more off-putting--honestly resembling manure. I've worked in the restaurant industry for years and don't send food back lightly, but this was not normal. The server said the smell was typical, suggesting vinegar may have made it "pungent." Ultimately, the manager told us we still needed to pay for the dish, which we did without argument, though the experience was disappointing. * Shrimp Appetizer: It was fine, but nothing memorable or worth raving about. * Burger: The patty was overcooked, the bun was dry, and the fries ended up being the best part--crispy and greasy. Overall, we were hoping for a much better experience. While the drinks were enjoyable, the food quality and response to legitimate concerns left a lot to be desired.
