Leaving a concert at the amp, I was hungry. An overpriced hot dog just wasn't doing it. Unfortunately, there are not very many restaurants open past 9 in the Rogers area. I headed over to Slim Chickens for some late night grub. I arrived, and they were fairly busy, but the line seemed to be moving quickly. They were having technical issues, and so Stephani came out to take orders on her handy dandy tablet. Even under the circumstances, Stephani greeted me with a smile and asked if I had gone to the concert and if so did enjoy myself. We chatted and laughed as she took my order. We wished each other a good night as I moved to the window where I paid and received my hot, fresh food. The longest part was ordering, and I'm not deducting points for difficulties that were out of their control. Next time I'm in the area, I will definitely return if I'm in need of late night chicken. Gave me 6 tenders instead of 3 which was a nice surprise since every fast food place has had increasingly smaller tenders. Hot, fresh and great taste. Since moving to NWA, Slim Chickens has become my go-to chicken place! Their chicken tenders are amazing, their wings are delicious, their fries are cooked to perfection and their Covid safety is on point! Today was the first day we have ate in the lobby of a SC in quite a while. This is because SC's has closed their lobbies when Covid cases have surged! This is a bold move, but one that surely says "we care more about our employees and customers than we do $$$". We have often grabbed takeout from SC's throughout the past few months, though. On my visit today, every single employee was masked and all of them were wearing their masks correctly. The restaurant is clean and they have employees constantly sanitizing tables as they empty! You definitely see the effort and it feels as safe as you can feel in this crazy Covid world. We chose to sit on the patio today, and SC's has patio heaters installed to make the temperature more comfortable. This patio is enclosed with garage style doors and it is mostly glass windows. This will be a great place for a quick meal in the spring! The food was great and prepared to the same consistent standards we are used to. I love that I can eat healthy at SC's. Their grilled chicken tenders are fantastic, but today I decided to grab some garlic Parmesan wings! Delicious. (If anyone from Slim Chickens reads this - please bring back the cayenne ranch dry rub for wings! Seriously the best wings I have ever had!) If I could make any suggestion to SC's, it would be these two things: 1. Frequently when grabbing drive through or curbside takeout at SC, we get home to find that the sauce has been forgotten. We now check before we leave the property. Sitting at SC's today, we saw employee have to grab forgotten sauces and drinks and run them back to out to customers. It would be great if some kind of quality check could occur before the employees run the orders. 2. When customers are sitting in the enclosed patio, don't open the garage doors to hand food to the drive through customers. The temperature immediately drops 15 degrees. This happened twice while we were sitting out there, and the temperature never recovered. read more

I stopped by this place because I wanted chicken and didn't feel like sitting at anything too too fancy one late evening after shopping. I ordered the 8 Wing combo with the side and drink. The parmesan bone-in wings were very very very good, and the sweet Thai Chili was just ok. I subbed okra for fries and the okra was actually a disappointment. Now I love okra, but this kind had absolutely too much breading, which completely turned me off, and it was not cooked hard enough as I requested. I think this is the first time I wish I would have got fries over okra...lol.. The lemonade was fresh and sweet and I was in and out the restaurant quickly, so that was a plus. I took my girl here for her our last day in NWArkansas. As always, the chicken was great and super fresh. However, I also wanted her to try their sweet tea (she comes from the land of Zero Sweet Tea) and they were out of ice and straws. They have always been a great place to eat and usually have just enough seating to handle the rush. Very nice tasting boneless chicken strips! With a variety of dipping sauces - my favs is dipping in the blue cheese and then into the hot sauce. If you want more than chicken strips, there's wraps and salads. On Sundays a kid eats free with a adult bought meal. I'm usually having Slims once a week. The location in Rogers is right on the path which means you can ride your bicycle there! One thing which needs attention is the soda bar which I've found to have flat sodas many times. read more

We go every Sunday. The salads and chicken are good and on Sundays kids used to eat for free with an adult meal purchase. They recently changed that to kids eat free if you order inside (no more drive thru). It's changing again to kids are 99 cents. Still a good deal if you have a big family. Pros: chicken is really good especially with their large options of sauces. Good deals for families in Sundays. The salads are really good and fill me up every time! Saw online that they were open until midnight so I ordered ahead online. Got there just after 10, not realising that the dining room was closed (wasn posted clearly). Immediately after opening the door a worked very rudely said they were closed, when I said I had a pickup order, worker simply said "Drive thru". So I got back in my car and there was a large line so after waiting I got to the window I told them I had a pickup order. the worker over the device struggled to find my order. After eventually finding it, I was told they were out of raspberry lemonade and I said I'd take sprite as an alternative. At the window I was handed a raspberry lemonade and my food. Got home less than 10 minutes later, and I was not given a straw and my food was very cold. I live very close to this location and this experience took over half an hour. I have eaten here multiple times during the day and it's always good, but there is a severe decline in service after 10. Love Slim chickens! Always fresh, never frozen. Chicken is always juicy and good. I'm a fan of the 3 and 3 so I can have tenders and wings. The fries are good but my favorite has to be the fried pickles with ranch dip. They are dill chips, not spears so crunchy yum. I've enjoyed a wrap too. When it comes to sauce, I'm not one to move the heat past mild on the wings but my favorite for tenders has to be the slims sauce. It's sweet and tangy. Love it! Now...to the new location. This is why you are no longer 5 stars. One, you took away the draft beer in those wonderful icy goblets. Why? You had the coldest beer in town. I am not interested in a bottled beer. Draft is always better than a bottle. Shame on you. Two, the noise-the level of loud was too much. I am sitting in a booth with three of my friends at lunch and we are yelling at each other in order to converse. Ridiculous. And three-what is with the short squatty stools to sit on? The good: The food is delicious. The bad: Our order was lost in the shuffle because our receipt number and table number didn't match, so we waited a long time. We visited on a Saturday at lunch. The place was packed. The only available tables were outside in the sun, though a wind made it tolerable. We waited and waited. We became concerned when late comers had their food arrive. Finally, a server came out with a few pieces of an order, no number attached, to see if anyone was missing food. We became suspicious. Lo and behold, it was part of our order. Thankfully, mistake was noted and quickly remedied. My husband was given the next fresh chicken; it was extremely good, very hot with a good coating. He was very surprised and pleased with their hot sauce, too, since it actually had a kick. He really liked the fries as well. I had the house salad with grilled chicken and honey mustard dressing. I was cautiously optimistic, but was surprisingly satisfied. Don't be fooled by the name, as the word Slim in the name does not in any way mean the food here is super healthy. The menu almost reminded me of a general appetizer or kids menu. Everything here is basically comprised of Chicken Wings or fried tenderloins, with an impressive selection of house made dipping sauces. I got the "slim chicken" menu item which is basically 5 tenderloins, fries, a slice of toasted bread, and 2 sauces. I threw the bread away, I mean who eats just bread? I always enjoy me some Slims, but this last experience has me not likely to return. I did an online order at the Joyce St location in Fayetteville. When I went to pick it up, I showed the server my free jar dessert code from their app (that I received for my birthday) and was told by her and the manager that it could not be redeemed with an online order. I had to make an additional purchase inside the location to use my free birthday code. The code simply says "show your server" it does not say can't be used when picking up an online order or that a purchase is even necessary to use it. Now my code is expired, my coupon is gone and so am I from returning.
