Will never order for pickup again. I love this place but by trying to save time and order a head they will just make me wait longer and give me cold food! Just show up and order. read more

Charging $7 for this measly side of okra is criminal. 2 stars because the chicken strip salads are decent. Also had to go back for the dressings for both salad and okra. read more

This place is close by my parents and we all love it and frequent it often. We love the salads, especially on hot summer days, but the last couple of times recently the lettuce has had to be picked thru. The chicken is always superb but we would all like to see the lettuce be fresh. read more

First off, the girl at the drive-thru was a total doll, a real sweetie-pie. Unfortunately, the crispy chicken sandwiches I ordered were practically inedible because of the absurdly high sodium content. The only thing I've ever eaten that comes close to this level of saltiness is the French dip sandwich from Arby's. Just terrible. So, if you're aiming to die from salt inhalation, make Slim Chickens and Arby's regular parts of your dining rotation. Personally, however, that is not my goal so both have seen the last of me. read more

I have been a Raising Canes fan. Last few times I was disappointed. So I heard Slim Chickens was doing $ 2.00 off so I'll take a shot. Toast was good, fries were seasoned perfectly, and the chicken has a great flavor and NOT greasy! Even the drink was good! When you spend 12.00 and up you don't want to waste your money. I certainly didn't! Well done! I'll be back! read more

The food is great. One of our favorite places, but they must have a sauce bounty or something. I never get any unless I check and go back and ask. Several times my wife has got a chicken salad with no dressing as well. Just ruins the whole meal honestly. Chicken places rely pretty heavily on the sauce. read more

I don't understand the bad reviews. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant itself was clean and cool. The ice tea was fresh. The wings I got were very tasty as were the fried mushrooms. Absolutely no complaints from me! read more

Every time I go the employees are always so nice. There is always a friendly atmosphere when eating in. Food is always good!

It took 20 minutes to get our food which was one meal. When asked how much longer both of the females laughed and grabbed our food as if it had been ready already. We said "oh it was already done" and she said "no it wasn't" in a very sarcastic tone and shut the drive thru window so we couldn't even reply. When we got to our car it wasn't even the correct order. Went inside for them to continue to smirk and laugh at each other because we seemed upset. Extremely unprofessional place and judgmental workers. read more

Good food, would considered it as my third favorite chicken sandwich. Good service, very cooperative with deaf customers. Slim chicken have simple yet comfy ambiance which can make them a good place to hanging out or out for a date. read more

I drive by this place all the time and finally came. Lady in the drive thru does not close the lids fully and so the sweet tea will spill everywhere. I think she smiled. No thank you or asking is there anything else you need? Nothing. She stared deep into my soul convincing me to give her my card knowing I will need to drive home without napkins and my sweet tea crawling through the interior of my car. The food must be good right? No. Compared to Caising Ranes, LFC, and Eyepops this chicken is dry. Not crispy. Dry and coated with pathetic sauce. Sauce is alright, but I've had better. The wings? Small and kinda dry. For what you get, it is expensive and there are better places to make your money's worth. Meh. I've had better. Won't be coming back. read more

Terrible service! Management needs to step in!!! Took over 30 minutes to receive two TO GO chicken sandwiches.... staff was not friendly, seemed "put off" when asked for help. read more

So.....the husband wanted something fast, and he wanted to try this place. I was pleasantly surprised. I loooooovvvvveeee wings, and this actually didn't disappoint. I had the garlic Parmesan wings, he had bbq, my oldest had honey bbq, and my youngest had their chicken sandwich. Everyone enjoyed theirs and my youngest said he is now done with Chick Fil A chicken sandwiches haha. It must have been very good. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is there was no option to get 8 wings without adding a side. When I eat wings, that's all I want. read more

Tenders slightly over done, bread was burnt as you can see then raw on the other side. (Never flipped to touch the grill.) Disappointed to say the least. read more

Slim Chickens - Slim Meal - Southern Near Me - Lubbock, Texas

For a "chicken only" restaurant, they have great menu options. They have excellent wraps, and their salads are super great too! The staff here is really friendly. This is the only place in town that has a line that rivals Chick-Fil-A AND still gets your food out super quick. There's a reason this place is packed every day of the week. read more

I really enjoy the service at this location but for some reason EVERY single time we come in the air conditioner is on full blast to the point it's absolutely uncomfortable. I don't think we will be back until the ac breaks or something. read more

Slow chickens should be the name of this place. Drive thru took 25 minutes... definitely don't go here if you're in a hurry at all.

I haven eaten here twice without leaving a review, so third time is the charm. I always enjoy restaurants that serve one item. The chicken at Slims is great. Just enough crust to keep the chicken juicy when being cooked. Chicken is juicy and flavorful. Fries are crispy and appear fresh cut. Sauces are diverse and provide added flavor (not that isn't needed) to the chicken. To top it all off, the staff is friendly and has been in a good mood each time I have visited. Only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. Could get expensive if bringing a family of 4 here. read more

Not very impressive... We ordered the gigantic fries for $7 and they were cold... Texas toast at $0.45 apiece came out cold also. 20 chicken strips and you get for little bitty sauces and I and they expect you to pay $0.29 for each additional one. Chicken was good besides not so much Also when I walked over to the counter.. when we ask for our fries, i got to watch them make fun of us. So the staff gets a failing grade... read more

Just left Slim Chicken's on 98th Street & had the worst service I believe I have ever had. We ordered at the drive up, received our drinks & paid. We then sat at the window for at least 15 minutes waiting for our food. No one came & gave us an update so until we honked. Then a young lady came, opened the window & said "waiting on fresh tenders". Then she brought our food shortly after. There was no apology, in fact, she just shoved the food out the window without saying a word. I know that the restaurant industry has had a hard time finding employees these days but you can teach the ones you have to be polite & to keep your customers informed. Won't be back to this location for sure. read more

Ive had better chicken at a gas station, the chicken is a little slim on flavor, Imo. i wont be back

Great crispy wings. Chicken tenders awesome. Love the sauces!! And the fries, perfection!

Meh. My meal was certainly not fresh, as they advertise. I used the drive-through for lunch. After paying, I was asked to pull forward - great, I don't mind doing this, as it makes me think that I will be getting a fresh, hot meal. I think my entire meal had been microwaved! Tenders and fries were soggy and lukewarm, and the toast was stale. Only positive? The sauces were good. There are much better options in Lubbock when it comes to chicken tenders. read more

I love slims! There are ton of different sauces to toss them in & to dip them in! I get my tenders tossed in honey BBQ (it's almost like really big boneless wings) with ranch dipping sauces. Highly recommend for a good Saturday lunch spot read more

Slim Chickens - Slims plate (missing some strips already oops) tossed in Honey BBQ with ranch for the fries - Southern Near Me - Lubbock, Texas

Today was awful! I go to the same slims a lot with my family. But today I took one of my friends from out of town. She's never been to a slims. We went through the drive thru as I live less than a minute from slims. We asked to split the check and the young lady who helped us refused to split it saying they "can't split checks" I know that this was a lie and that she just didn't want to put in the work as I have split the check multiple times at this location. And although it takes time there was not a single person other than the workers at that time so they had no excuse. As I said before I live less than a minute away from slims and drove straight home. We opened up our meals to cold food!!!! I am upset with the customer service. And I will not be returning to this location. read more

First time eating here and I won't be eating here again.. Terrible service, I didn't receive my sauces, barley got any fries and the chicken in my "crispy" chicken sandwich was so thin and overly cooked it was disappointing.. read more

This place is bomb! We are picky and my 13 year old loves the wings! Everything is fresh. I love it

Bad service. The person who took my order over the speaker in the drive thru was extremely rude. I also payed for multiple extra sauces and I got one single sauce. Got my food and there was hardly any fries in the box. read more

(Saturday about 7pm) My 3 year old Niece and I decided to go out to eat, and I thought we would try Slim Chickens; I am so Glad we did! The chicken tenders were hot, fresh, and moist. The fries were good, especially with there yummy homemade ranch. The MAC and cheese was really good and creamy. We also got a waffle on the side. Perfectly crispy and soft; so good!!!! The girl was friendly behind the counter and the gentleman in the dining area was helpful and friendly. The restaurant was very clean. The food came out fast. We definitely will be back with more family. Thank you! read more

These people are assholes!! I called to see if they can do something about me not getting 3 of my drinks or 4 of my sauces and they thought it was funny for me to call to see if they can do something about it! They didn't put the phone on mute so the guy who answered was like "lol they wanna talk to a manager bruh" lol glad you can fine it amusing! Money isn't a big deal to me but the fact that y'all were rude is what pissed me off! If you were nice about it I would have been fine. But just know Karma is a bitch! read more

I haven't been in a while but thought I'd try again. Once again we waited in line for 30 minutes. You would think after being open this long they would have a better system in place for a busy lunch hour. Last time we will go. read more

It took a long time to receive my food and when I did the food was super cold. Also, why is the entire cup always filled with ice with very little drink? Are you guys really trying to cut costs that much that you have to fill every single cup to the top with ice read more

It's so frustrating to spend $35+ on food to get home and half of your order is missing and the other part is wrong... then you call and they tell you they'll make it right but when you try to reorder your meal at a later date, they accuse you of lying about it. Terrible customer service! read more

This is my absolute favorite chicken place, hands down. Think Raising Cane's with better options and quality. I personally go for the tenders with Mango Habanero sauce. And the fries taste really good with the Cayenne Ranch to dip in! read more

I ordered the strips and wings. The food came out hot and fresh but there is something missing. It seems to lack flavor. The chicken strips are really small and taste like nothing. Even the "Slim Sauce" is sort of bland. It's very similar to Cane's sauce but without any kick. The fries are crispy but also lack flavor. The texas toast is okay. The wings are average. The service was fast and friendly. I would probably come back but not for the strips, they are lame. read more

Slim Chickens - Chick plate...small strips - Southern Near Me - Lubbock, Texas

I like this place. My husband does not. They offer tenders, wings, wraps and more. Plus, they have a variety of dips. We shared the 5 tenders, 5 wings. He likes barbecue, so that's what flavor I got for the wings. He did like the wings. The ranch dressing is legit. (Read my other reviews if you aren't sure what I mean by that.) The slim sauce is sweeter than Cane's sauce, but it's typically what the employees recommend if you ask, "What sauce is most like Cane's sauce?" I liked it, but my husband did not. I told the employees that I'd like to pay for a different sauce because my husband didn't like this one, and they gave me a different one at no charge! Fries are good and service was great. The food was hot and fresh. My only complaint (and this is reaching) was it was pretty warm inside the restaurant. Their fans are relatively small and hung pretty high. There are many windows, and hey, it's July in Texas! Crank that A/C! They offer drive thru which is nice as well. Oh, the fried pickles are excellent! read more

Let me tell you guys something it's very important that you read this. I am an obese Individual. Partly my fault partly because of 9/11 as a paramedic. Putting that aside I have never been treated in the most respectful and outstanding customer service in any restaurant in my life. That is saying a lot trust me I been to quite a few of them. The customer service and quality of food is excellent I can't think of the words that are better than excellent but trust me it is beyond that word. If there is a problem with an order they corrected on the spot no questions. The amount of people being affected by COVID 19 and what's happening to restaurant owners is appalling. because of customer service and quality of food even if you doing curbside and drive-through and still outside the competitors that's saying a lot. I highly highly highly recommend this restaurant location even know they specify in chicken. I would rather go there then wait 45 minutes at Texas Roadhouse and still get crapy service. I cannot commend this restaurant more than I have tears running down my face on how much respect they have for their customers! read more

Very Busy being the new store but will slow to normal soon but still Love the 5&5 All the sauces are wonderful but the Cayenne Ranch is my favorite with Mango Habanero Wings.
