First off, the girl at the drive-thru was a total doll, a real sweetie-pie. Unfortunately, the crispy chicken sandwiches I ordered were practically inedible because of the absurdly high sodium content. The only thing I've ever eaten that comes close to this level of saltiness is the French dip sandwich from Arby's. Just terrible. So, if you're aiming to die from salt inhalation, make Slim Chickens and Arby's regular parts of your dining rotation. The food is great. One of our favorite places, but they must have a sauce bounty or something. I never get any unless I check and go back and ask. Several times my wife has got a chicken salad with no dressing as well. Just ruins the whole meal honestly. Chicken places rely pretty heavily on the sauce. read more

It took 20 minutes to get our food which was one meal. When asked how much longer both of the females laughed and grabbed our food as if it had been ready already. I drive by this place all the time and finally came. Lady in the drive thru does not close the lids fully and so the sweet tea will spill everywhere. I think she smiled. No thank you or asking is there anything else you need? Nothing. She stared deep into my soul convincing me to give her my card knowing I will need to drive home without napkins and my sweet tea crawling through the interior of my car. The food must be good right? I haven eaten here twice without leaving a review, so third time is the charm. I always enjoy restaurants that serve one item. The chicken at Slims is great. Just enough crust to keep the chicken juicy when being cooked. Chicken is juicy and flavorful. Fries are crispy and appear fresh cut. Sauces are diverse and provide added flavor (not that isn't needed) to the chicken. To top it all off, the staff is friendly and has been in a good mood each time I have visited. Only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. Could get expensive if bringing a family of 4 here. read more

Just left Slim Chicken's on 98th Street & had the worst service I believe I have ever had. We ordered at the drive up, received our drinks & paid. We then sat at the window for at least 15 minutes waiting for our food. No one came & gave us an update so until we honked. Then a young lady came, opened the window & said "waiting on fresh tenders". Then she brought our food shortly after. There was no apology, in fact, she just shoved the food out the window without saying a word. I know that the restaurant industry has had a hard time finding employees these days but you can teach the ones you have to be polite & to keep your customers informed. Today was awful! I go to the same slims a lot with my family. But today I took one of my friends from out of town. She's never been to a slims. We went through the drive thru as I live less than a minute from slims. We asked to split the check and the young lady who helped us refused to split it saying they "can't split checks" I know that this was a lie and that she just didn't want to put in the work as I have split the check multiple times at this location. And although it takes time there was not a single person other than the workers at that time so they had no excuse. As I said before I live less than a minute away from slims and drove straight home. Meh. My meal was certainly not fresh, as they advertise. I used the drive-through for lunch. After paying, I was asked to pull forward - great, I don't mind doing this, as it makes me think that I will be getting a fresh, hot meal. I think my entire meal had been microwaved! (Saturday about 7pm) My 3 year old Niece and I decided to go out to eat, and I thought we would try Slim Chickens; I am so Glad we did! The chicken tenders were hot, fresh, and moist. The fries were good, especially with there yummy homemade ranch. The MAC and cheese was really good and creamy. We also got a waffle on the side. Perfectly crispy and soft; so good!!!! Let me tell you guys something it's very important that you read this. I am an obese Individual. Partly my fault partly because of 9/11 as a paramedic. Putting that aside I have never been treated in the most respectful and outstanding customer service in any restaurant in my life. That is saying a lot trust me I been to quite a few of them. The customer service and quality of food is excellent I can't think of the words that are better than excellent but trust me it is beyond that word. If there is a problem with an order they corrected on the spot no questions. The amount of people being affected by COVID 19 and what's happening to restaurant owners is appalling. because of customer service and quality of food even if you doing curbside and drive-through and still outside the competitors that's saying a lot. I highly highly highly recommend this restaurant location even know they specify in chicken. I would rather go there then wait 45 minutes at Texas Roadhouse and still get crapy service. I like this place. My husband does not. They offer tenders, wings, wraps and more. Plus, they have a variety of dips. We shared the 5 tenders, 5 wings. He likes barbecue, so that's what flavor I got for the wings. He did like the wings. The ranch dressing is legit. (Read my other reviews if you aren't sure what I mean by that.) The slim sauce is sweeter than Cane's sauce, but it's typically what the employees recommend if you ask, "What sauce is most like Cane's sauce?" I liked it, but my husband did not. I told the employees that I'd like to pay for a different sauce because my husband didn't like this one, and they gave me a different one at no charge! Fries are good and service was great. The food was hot and fresh. My only complaint (and this is reaching) was it was pretty warm inside the restaurant. Their fans are relatively small and hung pretty high. There are many windows, and hey, it's July in Texas! Crank that A/C! They offer drive thru which is nice as well. Oh, the fried pickles are excellent! read more

I ordered the strips and wings. The food came out hot and fresh but there is something missing. It seems to lack flavor. The chicken strips are really small and taste like nothing. Even the "Slim Sauce" is sort of bland. It's very similar to Cane's sauce but without any kick. The fries are crispy but also lack flavor. The texas toast is okay. The wings are average. The service was fast and friendly. I would probably come back but not for the strips, they are lame. read more
