Stopped in for a sandwich at lunch, and it was packed! Even though they were busy, it didn't take long to order, or to get my food, OR to find a table. The have a healthy, lower calorie meals under 450 calories as well. Also they have one of those soda fountains with like every beverage known to man on a touch screen menu. I got poweraide, and not just poweraide, poweraide zero. They have a huge selection of hot sauce rated from 1-10 in heat. I tried the one that was rated a 10, and it was quite an ordeal for like 20 minutes; definitely not to played with. Good stuff! read more

Never been in a firehouse subs, so I had no idea where to order, after 3 people loudly welcomed me to firehouse, I stood awkwardly wondering where to order right in front of a person doing sandwich prep with no help. 3 customers then walked in not wearing a mask and they were not asked to put one on. I start to order and the person taking my order wasn't really helpful and kept cutting me off. Experience was very dry, and I felt pretty uncomfortable. The person taking my order starts talking to the guy who is ordering next to me. Overall I felt so weird and out of place here, I won't return. read more

As usual i love firehouse subs. But this firehouse franchise is not in jacksonville. Is in Lubbock Texas. Wow. Anyway the place looks very nice very clean and the employees greet you like at any other firehouse. The sub i always order is the engine company sub one of the original subs when firehouse was a jacksonville only bussiness. My sub was great. Temperature, size and most of all very tasty. My husband picked up dinner here for us last night. It's our first visit. I ordered the Italian sub cold, small, hold the onion and mustard. It was about $4.39. It came in a container like they use for the big burgers at McD and BK. My sandwich was overflowing with meat and cheese. It was all very fresh and delicious and the perfect size for my dinner. My husband got the $4.99 roast beef and his was excellent as well. I look forward to coming myself soon, when the heat dies down! read more

Employee, Justin, was very helpful and told me he would call the other location to cancel my order because I did not have time to run over there. My apologies to that location. Do Not Eat Here. I found a hair in my sandwich and had to drive all the way back and show the very rude women at the counter, who didn't believe me, exactly where it was (which would have been the next bite I took.) She proceeded to shout across the "restaurant" to the owner of said hair that he "lost something" seemingly uncaring of the other patrons within earshot. I wrote corporate an email suggesting they may want to step up their staff training procedures and got no response. It's been months and I still haven't heard a thing. This place is quite good. It isn't like most sandwich joints in the sense that this place doesn't have olive oil or other liquids to put on your sub. However they do have a huge selection of hot sauces to completely alter the manner in which you may consume your sandwich (not a bad thing, I like hot sauce). Heard it was amazing so I had to try it. My husband got the Italian and I got the Brisket. We both thought maybe we should have tried different sandwiches because we both weren't too impressed. My husband asked for no mayo and received mayo, the Italian has so much ham on it that you couldn't taste much of anything but ham. Usually a lot of meat isn't a problem at all but it comes with 2 other types of meat, it would have been great to taste those as well. My brisket wasn't bad but didn't have a wow factor. The brisket was bland and had a color that made me think it might be processed (to be honest) the BBQ sauce saved it. The BBQ sauce didn't have a tang to it, just regular original and again no wow factor. read more
