This place was packed when we went in for lunch over the holidays, but the counter moved fast. I thought the chicken and sauces were yummy. The raspberry and peach tea options were a nice touch. OMG slim chickens is GREAT! I have only been through the drive through and have had to wait a good 10 minutes each time, but they claim to make their food "fresh" so maybe that is the reason. The chicken tenders are great, the fried pickles are also really good considering the place is "fast food" and not a bar. The only thing I didn't really like was the buffalo wrap but honestly that is not something I would expect a fried chicken place to make well. So I don't think that is a fair complaint. The service is great, constantly cleaning and roaming the area for trash and to offer their services. The food came out quite fast and was hot and pretty good. I am a hard core Texas toast fan, and to me the toast tasted like garlic bread, which I wasn't really about. The chicken tenders were ok at best, a little chewy and lacking flavor. I was very happy with both the Crispyness of the fries and the sweetness of the slim sauce, although it was a little thick for my liking. I went through the drive through after a very long day. We loved the chicken strips. Super moist with light breading. I don't even remember which sauce we got. It was so good that we ate them plain. We also tried the fried mushrooms which were small, not greasy and had a little kick. But what really blew us away was the potato salad! I can't even describe it! Delicious and unexpected. We will have to get more and not scarf it down so fast so we can give you a better description. We haven't tried them but the desserts in a jar were adorable. I realize that this is a chain, but I was less than impressed with my meal. The chicken strips and chicken wings were very small for the price. The taste was ok. The food wasn't very hot. I also had the fried pickles and they were kind of greasy / soggy, not crispy. The toast that comes with it was also small and tasteless. My drink (Coke) was not good. This was the first time I have been here and I will now be going back. The place was very messy and dirty. They were not busy at all so someone could have been cleaning. The trash can was overflowing with trash. There was trash all over the floor that needed to be swept up. All of the tables looked dirty even though they were clean and there was a sticky like film on them. Then my husband used the men's restroom and there was toilet paper all over the floor and needed to be cleaned. The icing on the cake was when I looked down and there were ants starting to crawl in our table. It was dirty and gross. If I was the manager i would be hiring some people. First time coming here and it's not bad. Very nice restaurant and great location right by 99. The concept is basically like Zaxbys with a few other items beer and chicken and waffles and a little bit higher prices. First walking in I placed my order with the cashier I ordered the five finger slim plate I got slim sauce and cayenne ranch. About 15mins later they brought my order to me which is kind of a long wait time it's comparable to Zaxbys but way longer than pdq. So I got my order everything was hot and fresh so that's a plus the chicken tasted good better than canes but not as much flavor as pdq or Zaxbys but it was good! Now The sauce I really didn't like the slim sauce but the cayenne ranch was great they say they make all the sauces in house like pdq, they did taste fresh. Over all it was just okay for me I wouldn't come out of my way to come here but it's a good option better quality than most fast food restaurants but I prefer pdq and Zaxbys over this. read more

Chicken tenders have no flavor. Yes they are fresh and piping hot when u order them but you have to dip them in their ranch sauce (which is their best sauce) to get some flavor out of them. The wings are nothing special. Everything is WAAAAAY OVERPRICED. You are paying for listening to the nice blues music they have inside but the food sucks. The only good thing here are the fries, fresh and great seasoning and you get a lot of them if dining in, not carryout. These are pretty good strips, although not the best in town. If you have a hunger for Raising Cane's, this will get you about 80% there.
