Come here quite frequently, but every time I feel guilty because I was a huge supporter of Cookiez on Mill and was very sad when it closed. Cookie sandwiches are great, have tried lots of combos. The milkshake isn't their speciality, I wouldn't recommend that. I have a problem with the fact that they wait to see what kind of payment you pull out of your purse/wallet and then decide what to charge you. If you pay with a card it's 2.35, but if you pay cash it's 2.00. I know they're covering their vendor expenses, but they do it very sneakily and it's not like they post a sign (most stores who do this actually display it) to encourage you to pay for cash. I also didn't like that when I saw them as a vendor at a local event they charged $4 for their product. I know business and the whole "supply and demand" thing, but being a regular customer it rubbed me the wrong way. read more

Stopped by here after having dinner next door at La Bocca, and the place does not disappoint. It's not a flashy joint, but an ice cream shop doesn't really need to be. It's a simple down to earth spot, pick a cookie flavor (can be the same flavor or different), then pick the ice cream flavor you want squished between. And for $2! nothing fancy, solid ice cream bar for hot, sunny day. I don't really understand why it gets such high rating as you comparing to other ice cream shop as you walking down the street. Perhaps they give discount or extra scoop or something...idk. Honestly, they all literally serve the same thing....the ice cream weren't anything special; maybe the sweetness. I have to blame my wife for eating the whole thing without letting me have the second taste of it on the day we visited. So blame her if the review isn't accurate. Sam and Tina are very warm and welcoming, they make my friends and I feel right at home everytime we stop in, which is quite frequently! The cookies are homemade and perfect for an ice cream sandwich; as some others have said, soft and chewy, yet holds up to a big chomp combined with the ice cream. Their brownie a la mode is really good too, and the tiramisu, while a little more expensive ($3.75) is delicious!
