Food is good but service is slow and not really there... The last two time the service was terrible, we waited for a while after we were seated for someone to even asked us for drinks and when they did they forgot to bring us drinks, so another waitress came and took things over, our second waitress who came to wait on us did well and took care of things that the other one lacked on, kinda bad business in that sense. The time before our waitress at that time was clueless also and very forgetful of what was going on, and didn't get our food for over an hour... not sure if these it is their first day working there Or what but not good for the business in my opinion. Normally I love Slice, they have really good food and I love their house lager. Last night me and my boyfriend headed there for some dinner and beers. We live in Utah so it is rare that we are able to go to Slice. We walk in a little after 8:20 and we were turned away at the door. The staff said they were closed for cleaning. Flabbergasted I repeated, "you are closed before 8:30 on a Saturday night?" I saw several people in there including the owner drinking at the bar. I wanted to yell at him saying, "you just lost $40 worth of prophet." This is not the first time they have closed early on a Saturday, this is just the first time I've been turned away before 8:30pm. read more

The food here is pretty good, I won't lie. Definitely overpriced, but tasty nonetheless. The problem I have is the service. The servers are rude, but the owner is the worst. He will yell at people and make a scene just for sitting outside of the restaurant on tables or the sidewalk that is public property. As a server, he will yell at you or call you names if you mess up or aren't moving quickly enough. I personally was fired over text (after 2 weeks of work) because I "didn't fit in with the crew." I will only recommend eating or working here if you enjoy getting treated like dirt. read more

My husband and I tried them out their first day open for lunch. There were a few hiccoughs and they were pretty behind on orders, our pizza took an hour to arrive, but I think they were still just working out the kinks. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly. She came back to let us know that they were out of wedges for the salad my husband ordered, but they comped us an order of their cheesy bread. The cheesy bread is pretty tasty. It could have used a bit more salt to bring out the flavors, but their dough is very good as well as the marinara dipping sauce. We ended up with their pepperoni pizza. Thin, crispy crust. Delicious sauce. Flavorful pepperoni. All in all it was very tasty. We sat outdoors and enjoyed the view and breeze. Our waitress kept a good eye on us. We will defiantly be back. read more

There truly isn't much that can be hip about pizza. The expectation is standard to most and the ability to present them classically and with plenty of taste is your best bet. The slice of the day is a great deal and additional ingredients are easily added to suit your taste. The dough as stated previously is a but lacking in taste and would benefit with a garlic olive oil paint when coming out of the oven. Table service was quick and attentive. Im giving one star because the pregnant waitress that helped us was very rude the whole time, I gave her my ID and and because it was different she was rude and telling me that she might not be able to serve me? And after she came back and lectured me about changing my ID? When I literally use it at all bars and for everything but before and after that shes was very rude and snotty to us and really didn't ever come check on us to ask is if we needed anything. Its a super cute remodeled building. Everyone is very nice.I went last year and had a beer waiting for my pizza. The female bartender who I ordered from, talked with me a bit while I waited.Usually they dont chat at other places I have been. Im sure they get hit on alot, so I get why they dont . Even the guy who carried my pizza out was very nice.Sadly the pizza was only ok. The toppings were great but the crust taste like its made with lard or something that is over powering the flavor of the crust. Ordered a half combo/have sausage and mushroom pizza and a small side salad. The salad was fresh with ripe cherry tomatoes and a great homemade dressing. The pizza was good but would have been better had it been cooked a few more minutes. The bottom was barely cooked so the rest of the pizza was also borderline. It is Friday evening about 6pm, a prom weekend and we decide pizza at Slice before a theatre event. While the boys are flipping pizzas and tending the kitchen, chatting merrily, there is only one waitress and one young lady tending bar and serving. We wait 20 minutes for a couple of classes of wine and a beer, then after about another 20 minutes we are served our pizza slices and about 5 minutes later the salads arrive. UNACCEPTABLE! The waitresses were doing their best. The pizza slice was not hot and not exceptional. So where is the problem? Ownership and management! I figure they have about 6 months before people like us and those next to us (who walked out because of the wait before even ordering) spread the word and Slice joins the failed businesses of Twin Falls. I'm doing four stars for now until I go back a few more times. I smell five stars, just not ready to dish them out yet. Let's first discuss the physical building. The building itself has been there for, what? 80+ years? The owners did a nice job of renovating it and giving it that new "old" look. The bottlecap bar is very cool/trendy and I spied at least 15 beers on tap. The area where they make the pizzas is towards the rear of the establishment and in full view of anyone who wishes to watch them make it. I watched them make mine and that was cool. The service was fine. Attentive waitress, helpful hostesses. Nothing extraordinary. It's what I expect from a server. Now let's get down to the food. I had one slice of pepperoni pizza. It was a thin crust slice. Good, bold flavor. You can taste the Italian seasoning. And the flavor of the pepperoni complimented said seasoning very nicely. The cheese tasted FRESH! Not overly salty, but a subtle flavor that merely supported the over flavor profile instead of dominating it. I could have gone for another slice as I gobbled up the one I ordered rather quickly. For dessert I had a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of a brownie. The ONLY reason I mention this is because the ice cream has sea salt on it. Never have I had that before. And what a total shock it was. And how very delish it was as well. Great experience with the new/only trendy, big-city pizzeria here in Twin. I'm DEFINITELY going back. I hope Slice sticks around. UPDATE: My most recent visit was with out of town family in late December 2014 (after Christmas, before New Years). There were about 15 of us and we were a challenge. Should have known better to eat there the 2nd time. Both times the place was next to empty, but friends in the area had recommended. When we went to pay with our credit card, they wanted to charge us an extra 3.5%. But for cash, they would discount 5%? Seems odd? Oh, and they didn't tell us this when we ordered. Aside from being a little soft at the center, our pizza was great. It is the only decent pizza I've had so far on our annual visits to Twin. I have no idea why any of the other reviewers found it overpriced. It was far less pricey than I had expected for a quality handmade pie. Best pizza in town, hands down. Brick oven pizza with wonderful crust. I've tried the (1) pepperoni, (2) canadian bacon, pineapple, and jalapeno, (3) meathead, and (4) inferno. All were fantastic (although watch out with the inferno, it will get you later). Fairly priced, nice selection of beers on tap, and the decor is perfect (industrial/brick).
