I saw this pizza place on Yelp. The pics of the pizzas looked fabulous. We were looking for a new experience, so we went to Monterey Jack's. I could not have been more disappointed. The pizza crust was burnt. Nothing like biting into a slice and tasting charcoal. I thought this has to be an aberration, no, the party at the table next to us also had burnt crust. Stopped at this cute little pizzeria on Christmas Eve on our way back from the mountain, we were super hungry and we had such a lovely experience at Monterey Jack's! The food was all delicious (super fresh, cooked perfectly and very flavorful), the service and staff were welcoming and very accommodating of our large group. The pricing was very fair. I just don't know ... we ordered a pizza to go .. they said 20 minutes ... drove there after 25 minutes. wasn't even in the oven ... it was ok pizza .. but not mind blowing by any means. 35 bucks for family size Idiot pizza and 4 pieces of cheesy bread. The cashier had her mind one where else and folks that were eating in had to come back up and ask for their drinks ... then had to ask for the salad they had ordered ... I don't get it .... 3 people in the kitchen ... and one cashier .. two people eating in and regular people coming in to pick up .. yes i have worked the pizza biz before .. yes i understand being on the wait staff ... the pizza was just ok... i had to put the cheesy bread in the air fryer to " bubble " the cheese ... this place could be amazing with the right management to inspire the workers toward excellence! read more

Monterey Jack's pizza is delectable and the the service is delightful. The first time I stopped in was while I was moving to Kimberly, tired, hungry and in need of a quiet place to enjoy dinner. They fortunately had just reopened their dining room after a staffing shortage and our server was friendly, attentive and very welcoming. We had their Mountain of meat, the potato pizza and a smores pizza for dessert. OMG it was all delicious. Even if this wasn't right around the corner we'd be back often- love it! read more

This place is where it's at! Pizza is DELICIOUS. We recently branched out and tried their lasagna which was TO DIE for- my 4 year old asks for it twice a week at least! Salad bar is always supreme. Service is every bit of excellence (we especially love Codie). Lighting is dim which we really love on these summer afternoons when we're trying to beat the heat. For as wonderful as this place is, it surprises me that it's not ALWAYS packed. After 30 years we finally made it back to Maxie's. We had the family dinner. We had a 12" pizza with pepperoni and sausage, garlic bread, a pasta dish for everybody and a salad. The pizza was great, full of flavor and lots of toppings. We got 3 different pastas spaghetti, fettuccine alfredo, and ravoli. The meat sauce and Alfredo were so good. My other daughter had chicken tenders. They were great, the chicken wad dipped in a homemade batter which was so good and crispy. A great place to go if your looking for great pizza and pasta. The cauliflower crust pizza is amazing. This is our go to for a Saturday lunch. Salad bar is fresh and staff has been very courteous.

The place was empty at lunch time. We found out why. Micro size salad. Tasteless crust. Pizza sauce probably came out of a can. Pepperoni heartburn stayed with me all day. Feel bad for the staff. They were really nice and hard working. read more

The pizza is the only pizzeria type pizza I have found in this area (twin falls included) and it is great! Their burgers are also amazing! The cost per person is kinda high, more than I would normally pay, but it is a great place to go as a family after our kids sports games. The dining room is rather small. We have eaten at Maxies over the 35 years we have lived in Kimberly and always enjoyed the quality of the food. The thin crust pizza is a nice change to many of the chains in Twin Falls. The quality of the food is overshadowed when you are met very aggressive non-customer service driven staff. We had purchased a todays deals through Magicvalley.com which is a gift certificate at a discounted rate. The business agrees to participate in this program. When we arrived to use it, a lady grabbed it from our hand and headed to the phone stating she will call to see if it's valid. I assured her it was as we had not used it. After the call, she walked to us and said "it's not valid". Her tone was very accusing as it we trying to pass along a counterfeit bill. It's certainly not worth it to us for any amount to be treated as a criminal over an advertised/purchased certificate whose participation was initiated by the business.
