Such a lovely cozy spot for a drink. When we popped in they were playing jazz and it was such a welcoming lsid back vibe. The bartenders were helpful and let us sample a handful of beers before we made our drink decision. We didn't stay long since we were just there waiting on table at Warlord. Great selections of beers and sours!

Darkly lit front bar with great local beer/cider menu, and nice small space in the back for live music. Saw London's Ibibio Sound Machine here this past fall and it was great! Doorman and bar staff were all great- I could have used this place here in 2014-17 when I lived in the neighborhood! Only negative is parking (if driving here) is very hard to find. Sleeping Village for the win!

Perhaps my favorite music room in the city of Chicago at the moment. An utterly unpretentious front room with outstanding libations. And a sonically sensational music room in the back, providing an intimate setting for live shows. Highly recommended.

Great place to go any night, went out on a Monday and it was karaoke night! Very fun!

Dog friendly bar and live venue spot, with a great beer garden. The staff is low key, the bands are bad arse, and the drinks are great. No food, so eat up elsewhere.

SV has a beautiful environment, incredible beer and spirit selection, and lovely staff. This is a hidden gem you won't want to miss! The patio is absolutely wonderful during the warmer months, and your dogs will love it, too!

Wow this place has it all: a classy, dimly lit indoor bar and lounge, a fun stringed lights outdoor patio, and an inner open concert venue! Grab a drink from the bar and proceed back to the show, where the acts were good the night I went. Prices on the show were pretty reasonable too, the drink prices were average. Just remember to bring your vaccination card as they are REQUIRING that for entry!

Awesome addition to the neighborhood!…read more We enjoyed a lovely Friday evening including a delightful burger pop up. The space is awesome and comfy, with nice options for outdoor seating. Really enjoyed the live music as well, although it was hard to chat nearby because it was really loud at times (still loved it and we just moved away a bit so we could chat and still enjoy the vibes. There are a LOT of kids on this patio, which I always find to be a little odd to me at bars/breweries, but everyone was pretty well behaved and parents were attentive so it was not a real issue. I really appreciate that the owners are trying to be welcoming to everyone- there were all different kinds of people hanging out, on dates, hanging out with friends, etc. A great first date spot I bet! I'm not a beer drinker but they had good alternatives and my companions who did try the beers had rave reviews. Again just a great addition to the neighborhood and highly recommend a visit!

I like their themed events ( they have had food and beers from some countries that are playing during the FIFA events). Their service is fast and the staff are all very friendly. The patio seating is split between truly outdoor and some indoor/outdoor seating areas in addition to the indoor seating. There are couches and fire pits outside as well as some yard games. You can also bring your own food and kids are welcome. We love Lake Effect!

Navigator Taproom is a place where you pour your own beer and are charged by the ounce, so be careful! There are over 50 taps to choose from, so there's quite a variety of beers, ciders, and even wines that will appeal to just about all tastes. Between the two of us, I think we tried out seven different beers and ciders, and I'd say we enjoyed every ounce that we poured. Paper Plane Pizza is part of the establishment, though we did not eat anything. Definitely give Navigator Taproom if you're in the area.

At 4pm on a weekday it was already bustling, and this place is popular for good reason! The entire vibe and the staff are just super cool. Even the bathrooms are an experience, with heavy metal music blasting in a way that just adds to the unique charm. To drink, I tried the lucky linny and blood orange sour, which were both fantastic. I'm not typically a huge beer person, but after this visit I'm well on my way to crossing to the other side. For the appetizer, we split the cheese curds. I really liked the Korean inspired twist and the kimchi aioli served alongside. I think it could've used a little more salt and arrived warmer for a nice cheese pull, but otherwise it was enjoyable. I opted for the double cheeseburger as the main event, and it was really well done. The beef was juicy, perfectly cooked, with ample high quality cheese and caramelized onions. I think the sauce could've used an extra something, but overall it was a great burger. Great experience all around. Can't recommend highly enough and look forward to returning soon!

Boozy? Check. No complaints there. Most of their food is pretty good. Went yesterday and had their nachos which were great. Unfortunately their mac of the month sounded good before we got it. Mac and cheese with mushrooms and bacon sounds great. But when we got it, it not only didn't look good it was just weird and they really missed the boat with it. They added blue cheese to it for some reason which threw off the taste, had raw tomatoes on it which added to an already way too liquidy sauce, and the pasta was way overdone. It's a shame because their pimento mac with breadcrumb crust is great. I feel like they just tried to get too fancy with that one and also forgot that if you add piping hot sauce to done pasta, it keeps cooking it. That said, service was very good and we will come back...but we will be wary of the mac of the month.
