We were shopping, not buying, when we entered the store, having previously visited a few competing stores, a process we found confusing and tedious, as unlike other goods, mattresses are difficult to compare, as each store utilizes a different name for the same mattress, making this kind of a "blind purcha." Reese's sales skills were so good, so "on target," that he made the purchase happen. He first educated us as to the types of mattresses which exist, qualified us as to our unique requirements, then methodically walked us to products which met our needs. When he put together the comfort, quality and pricing right for us, we grabbed the opportunity to end our search, and signed on the dotted line. Having hired customer service representatives over decades, I know a star when I see one. Congratulations to CEO, Marc Schiller on hiring and training such a representative. who hopefully will be recognized and rewarded for his focus, skill and approach.

It was an easy shopping experience! I'd been looking online for weeks. As perfect as many of those…read moreonline sofa places looked, if you can't try it before you buy it, you're buying blind. I just couldn't do it. (Not to mention the cost!) R&F was on my list of places to check out. My wife and I walked in on a Sunday morning and got a friendly greeting from Anthony. We told him we were looking at sofas and got no hard sell, follow you around treatment. After we looked for awhile, we had a better idea of what we wanted to see and went back to Anthony. Still, no hard sell. We told him what we wanted and he showed us some great options. We found a set that felt perfect. And there was a great sale going on, too, on top of interest free payments for 18 months. This set had the same lifetime guarantee on the frame that the online places had. We didn't want to wait months, so we picked a fabric they had in stock. It felt substantial but still very soft, and promised to clean easily. I also liked the light gray color. We didn't buy it immediately. We gave our new furniture excitement a chance to calm down. Often the next day things don't seem as perfect as they did in the moment. But that didn't happen. I went back, signed the paperwork, and arranged delivery. Delivery was a breeze. I liked how I could see the ETA and where the truck was during the delivery window. Once the truck got here the 3 big pieces and 3 smaller pieces were in place within 15-20 min. The guys were as nice as could be. They wanted to make sure I got the furniture exactly where I wanted it. So did I! But I don't think I've ever been perfectly happy with the furniture arrangement on the first try. It's close - just needs a bit of adjustment, but that's on me (and the next strong friends to visit.)

I wish I could leave a zero star. We bought a Zane power recliner from them about a year and a half…read moreago. A few weeks after bringing the chair home, it felt like the power lumbar support was just punching you in the back no matter where we had it or how we were sitting in the chair. We called to have it serviced, they serviced it twice by just throwing more foam in it, which made it worse. They did recognize this was a problem and exchanged the chair for a new one... I bet you couldn't believe what would happen next. This chair did the same exact thing. And what did they do, they serviced it twice again by just putting foam in it. The chair is still unbearable to sit in. When I called customer service, they decided through a picture on the computer that the chair looked fine and told me that my comfortability is not their problem and they only deal with actual brakes in the furniture. And that basically I was left with a defective chair and they would not do anything about it. Do not waste your time buying any furniture from this retailer. I know we will never be going back again.

Wow! This is a huge store. Much bigger inside than it looks, it's extremely neat, clean and very…read morebrightly lit. Not a place to shop with a migraine or hangover (neither of which I had). I walked in and was greeted in within seconds by a nice-appearing and very knowledgeable man, Tan, who proceeded to show me the dishwashers and range hoods I was looking for. Without even looking at the tags, he knew almost every model's decibel rating, features and color availability. That was very impressive, considering they had over 20 dishwashers on display. They carry low-end Amana, more well-known, better-rated brands such as Whirlpool, GE, Samsung, and Kitchenaid and higher-end Bosch. I had narrowed it down to one in particular, and Tan printed out my two favorites and attached his business card as I requested. I noticed that he's the assistant sales manager. That could explain (but not necessarily) why he was so familiar with all the different brands, different features and colors. Did I mention I was impressed? The only thing he had to look up on the computer was a particular model and color's delivery date. Next, I looked at range hoods, located in the very back (left) corner if the store. They have only about 8 choices. I easily narrowed it down to two, my favorite being an Italian brand, XO, followed very closely by USA-manufactured Broan. Both were close in price. Broan had halogen lights, which will get hot. XO had LED lights, and had a more sleek and slim design...but just a bit. The other Italian-made brand was also great, but expensive, and my contractor would have to remove some cabinets, so, not an option. They easily had over 30 refrigerators displayed, and at least as many stoves. They also sell wine refrigerators, garbage disposals, microwaves, and window air conditioners. To the left, just inside the door, there are some scratch and dent air conditioners and microwaves, all clearly marked. I asked Tan if there were any rebates on the two particular dishwashers I was interested in. He said unless I was a Fairport resident, no. I'm glad he was up on everything...no playing a frustrating game of "20 questions". I have no doubt he can go far in management. And I hope he does.

I'm a firm believer in service after the sale. Initial purchase experience was good…read more But, and there's always a but, not happy with their service contracts rebates & service after the sale. The convoluted paperwork for the rebates is time consuming and idiotic. Then you find out they are not rebates but vouchers that must be used in their store. Unfortunately, the amount is so small all you can buy is nickel and dime products like cleaning products. Of course they don't have the products in stock. So they have to order them. After waiting over two months they call and say they're here and "we need you to pick them up asap" because they need the space. So lo and behold when I get there they don't have everything. But, will contact me when the rest of the stuff shows up. It has now been 6-months and they haven't contacted me. I sent two emails to Jason and he responded with "I'll check." Needless to say he didn't.
