The sales person at this store didn't mention the poor customer service for maintenance isn't free. You can get help from their customer service center after being on hold for an unreasonably long time. Then if you need a tech to help out with any issue you are charged over $100 plus the cost of a part in advance prior them scheduling you. I had to wait to be scheduled with a tech and then give up my day waiting for the tech to arrive. The warranty on the mattress is meaningless. The ads are misleading. I have had three mattresses from Sleep number. They have all had problems. Their sales pitch is tempting, but when things went wrong, I regretted my decision buying Sleep Number. Ordered sleep number climate 360 king. Had to wait months for it to be delivered at end of November. Its now December and it went belly up and had to wait for an hour for them to tell me it won't be replaced until January 18th! Ridiculous! What are we supposed to sleep on until then? For a bed over 10k it should be replaced within a week or less! Chris v your reply was useless, your number is just sleepnumber service who I was on the phone for over an hour! To resolve this. I am happy with my bed - it was expensive but I don't regret the purchase. I liked the sales rep Brandi. My complaint and warning to other customers: do NOT give them your real email address. Despite being very clear that I did not want additional promotional information, I still get a petty email EVERY DAMN DAY! Why would a company so obviously do what they say they won't do? FRIENDLY, DOWN-TO-EARTH, & KNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF: GOOD EXPERIENCE. RECOMMENDED ** HOW WE MET ** "Sleep Number" beds and I met during an overnight stay at a high-tech sleep lab in Seattle where the mattress was an older "Classic" model, a.k.a. the original, base model. It was still FANTASTIC tho! After that one stay, I knew where to go when replacing our old Costco memory foam bed, and luckily there was a brand-store right in Bham. And it was such fun! *** IN-DEPTH on IN-STORE *** ** Finding Your Sleep Number or "SN" ** The setup in the store is a MAJOR improvement on the traditional mattress shop: here you only lie on ONE "magic mattress" that they've embedded sensors into which connects to monitors, visible while you lie down. Those sensors register the pressure of your body on the mattress. That pressure is displayed visually & helps you determine your "sleep number"; here's how that happens... **As you & partner are lying side-by-side, the mattress begins at its firmest, and the monitor displays your pressure points in color that looks like an infrared or heat camera: reds & blues etc. Then the technician lowers the firmness gradually of both sides and instructs you both to say when it has become most comfortable. The bed grows softer until you're perfectly comfortable and BOOM: you say "stop", and that's your sleep number! All the while, on the monitor you can see the pressure points' colors becoming more even throughout the body-shaped outline as the number approaches your ideal (ie, not a too many dots at the bum or shoulders but even throughout) *My hubby's is 95 (100 being most firm; he likes a VERY firm bed), and mine is 35 (I like a VERY soft bed). But if you look at our body pressure diagrams, they look quite similar with even distribution despite the difference in Sleep Number, because our bodies are so different: he's a tall & wide body builder while I'm short & curvy with voluptuous bum* (The Details) The tech went through all the features of their bed lines, focusing on what issues we struggled with personally; it was a very individually tailored experience as the staff went over our issues, like my central sleep apnea, spinal abnormalities, & brain surgery experience which requires certain consideration and my husband's positional snoring etc. Then we talked at length with staff about what features we wanted, what our budget allowed, & about financing. The "best" part for me was that when my back & head pain became too uncomfortable to continue (from the above health issues I mentioned), the tech totally understood. I'm sure he worried we wouldn't return & would lose his commission, but he didn't let on and instead encouraged us to take a break & come back when we could. And of course, we returned before the holiday weekend was over to purchased our bed (discount!). The only negative was waiting on delivery/setup which took far longer than we were told to expect, but I understand that happens. It's so worth it though because not only is it insanely comfortable, but it has a warrantee that rivals & beats many cars. And then of course the price but I think the price is fair for the quality & singularity of this product. Hope this helps you make your decision! We were thinking of getting a Sleep Number bed and didn't end up getting one because it just wasn't the right fit for us. However, the sales people were very pushy and just kept calling. I finally politely explained to the salesperson that the beds would not work for us personally because we are a plus size couple and while the 'per cell' recommended weight limit was fine, together we exceeded the recommended weight for one cell of the bed. The salesperson's response was a very irritated sigh and "alright then, bye". So, if you are a plus sized couple who doesn't mind some passive fat shaming by sales people and fancy not touching your partner in bed, this might be for you. read more

We had been looking everywhere for a new bed, and tried several different places before going into the Sleep Number in Bellingham. First impression was the place was beautiful and clean. We met George and Michael who were both very professional and took the time to explain all the new technology and the differences between the different models. There was no pressure and they gave us time to try all the beds and left us alone to discuss our thoughts. It is a lot to spend for a bed and we wanted to be sure. We ended up buying the Flex top I-8 360 bed. I have to say that it is fantastic! I have had such a hard time sleeping with my hips etc and I sleep so much better. I can keep track of my heart rate, quality of my sleep. My husband can have his side up and it doesn't bother me. They came to set it up and were very professional they also programmed our remotes , took away all the boxes . From the start to the finish of this process it was a wonderful experience. I know there are many other beds out there but I would recommend giving sleep number a try. read more

Absolutely horrible service i went in looking for a bed, the store offered the absolute worst customer service being very rude to me treating me like "i didn't have money for one of there beds" and not even showing me how there beds operate, i will be taking my service to temperpedic where they actually have customer service.
