Back in the day I worked multiple positions at Carpet Stores. Now that I have rental properties in Bellingham, I've been choosing Carpet Liquidators for my Carpet. Dawson was the salesperson on my last purchase. He also has carpet laying experience. Anyway, everything went smoothly, and on time and in budget. I was particularly happy that I didn't have to hire a seperate worker to remove doors and baseboards in preperation. The layer there handled that, as part of the regular installation. They also had to upholster carpet onto an opening bench window seat. That takes more skill and they pulled it off, no problem. Good inventory there too. I stick to the Nylon choices for cut pile carpets, so the fibers are less prone to matting down in the traffic areas. read more

I went here to get new carpeting for a bedroom that we had to repair so money was tight. A wonderful young man named Dawson helped a great deal to find not only quality carpet but at an amazing price. Found a remnant that was exactly the correct dimensions AND high quality. The price was way less than I expected to pay so I was pretty happy and the carpet looks beautiful and very plush in the bedroom. I have another bedroom that I will be recarpeting in the spring and will definitely be going there and asking for Dawson. We went flooring shopping at Carpet Liquidators recently. A few thoughts: Pluses: product is neatly laid out and easy to see. Everything has a price that is clearly labeled (this is not common in the other flooring stores we visited). We spent a goodly amount of time with the store manager, who was very helpful and friendly. He generated a couple of quotes with everything clearly spelled out as line items. Minuses: limited selection. Materials prices aren't particularly any better than anywhere else. Quantities may be limited. Summary: worth a visit, but definitely shop around. read more

I do not reccommend. Yes, I was on a budget, and so yes, I purchased the least expensive carpet. And their guys installed it. That was a couple years ago. Its a rental. Today, the carpet has stretched, and so I have large wrinkles in the carpet. It looks hideous. At one point, my dog was lying on the carpet in the middle of the room. when I walked past him , I saw that he had gotten up, but was tied t9 the floor. The tag on his collar grabbed a section of the carpet, and when he stood up, it pulled a 1' long tear in the middle of the room. Do not buy their cheapest carpet. It won't be a good investment, and in my opinion, does not stand the test of time. It looks worse than these photos depic. read more

As a very particular person who was looking to remodel our basement I had spent a lot time researching our options with all the flooring vendors, (ie..Lumber liquidators, Home Depot, local guys...etc) when a friend recommended Carpet Liquidators in Kirkland who did their floors. Not only did he help us with our flooring options, he spent extra time to walk us through all my install questions, the process, and time lines associated. We were pleasantly surprised that the product quality and pricing were equal to or better than the other businesses in our area offered. CL is THE best. They are wonderful and their pricing is unbeatable. If you've been to their major competitor, then you might have felt like buying flooring or carpet was something akin to buying a used car. Carpet Liquidators' folks were straight forward. provided a ton of information, so I could make a good choice that was right for me. This was despite the fact that I was small potatoes, because I had a very small project that nonetheless required a professional selection and installation. It didn't matter that I wasn't a huge sale -- I still got attentive, honest service. The fellow who came to install was on time, very nice, very efficient, very tide, and he wore a mask. I will spare you my installation experience with the major competitor (OMG!). Carpet Liquidators seems to have installers on staff - the competitor gets them from (not too sure, really, but it's a crap- shoot). I have to admit, the name is a little off-putting. Get past that and check them out and be sure to speak with someone -- it's worth it. You won't end up feeling flim-flammed and/or as if you need to take a shower after the experience. I needed new carpet in a short time frame. They have a good selection in stock and Drew was able to schedule the measure and installation quickly. We like the flooring... but it stops there. We pretty much replaced the floors in our entire house. We paid extra to have the waterproof floors caulked. The caulking was so messy and globby that it had to be removed in order to put the trim back on. The installer left a huge mess for us inside and out all 3 times he came. The last time he left my front door open while cutting all the flooring ... leaving my appliances, electronics and furniture covered in saw dust. There were large gaps around the perimeter of the floors. My new door trim was scuffed. We were offered a refund for our caulking... which was the least that could be done, only never to receive it. Not the service I would have expected considering the amount of money we spent here. read more

I came here for some reminent carpet pieces. The guy working didn't even want to bother with me. Seemed annoyed that I was even there. Sent me to home depot for padding because he was too lazy to get up and cut it for me. I went to pay and he didn't want to run my card because it was too much of a hassle. He sent me to value village to a ATM. Value village doesn't have a ATM. So I had to walk over to the grocery store across the parking lot. He told me he had recently started working at this store but had been doing flooring of all kinds for decades. Not only was I fully educated on how to handle the installation of my new floor but I was given fantastic advice on what products to use and why. I ordered some flooring from these folks and the salesperson calling me anxiously trying to get me to pay another $3000 yet when I asked to see the bill, the price per square foot had gone up by 30%+ and the price for stair carpeting had doubled. Remodled about 3 years now. Carpeted man cave Living room and dining room. The worst carpeting job we have had on our home. We had them come back the the carpet installer stapled the carpet down at the door ways. It flattened the carpet padding left an ugly ridge by all the doorways. The actual carpet is to wide we have big waves in it. He was supposed to stretch it and tack it so it would lay flat has not happened. We are only 2 people no running no pets it looks like hundreds of people have been on it in the last 3 years. When he came and fixed? it he made it much worse. It wasn't there cheap stuff we purchased. If it was what we got we were screwed over. VERY VERY POOR JOB INSTALLING . Very poor job redoing it the staples used show and we have big waves like an ocean through out the whole mess. We are getting ready to recarpet thought it would at least last 5 years the other we had lasted over 20 years. It was the Bellingham Washington Store that we purchased it from. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about this company. Even the the first installs totally messed up the installation of our vinyl planking floor. When it stated to peak and come up and was found by the manufacturer to be an installation problem, and even though their paper work says they are only responsible for the materials they made it all right! Kathy the manager at the store was really wonderful and wanted to make sure we were completely satisfied. It took a few months to rectify everything, but Kathy made sure this time we had an installer that was familiar with the product and knew what they were doing. We also bought some super strand carpeting from them and it is amazing stuff! It is made out of corn based product and is supposed to be stain resistant. It it sure is! My older dog got sick and was vomiting blood all over the brand new carpet, black tar all over. It cleaned up so well you can't even tell it ever happened, quite amazing! read more
