Husband and I visited today for the first time to replace the carpet in our rental house. We were greeted at the door by a lady whom I can remember her name. She finished up with her customer and rushed over to us. She quickly found exactly what we were looking for in a matter of minutes. We were in and out in 20 minutes and even having the carpet installed TOMORROW. I'm highly surprised the quick turn around time, regardless I told her I wanted it ASAP. Needless to say, if we weren't moving out of state. I would definitely buy future purchases from this company again. Highly pleased with selection, knowledge, price, quick turn around time for install to be done. The store was bright, clean and very well organized. Follow up on our carpet order. I called three other carpet store to ask if carpet liquidators was full of shit about having to charge us for another 160 square feet of carpet and padding because we bought pattern carpet. They all laughed and said NO! So we cancelled our carpet install which was going to cost us $4630 just to have carpet and padding installed in our master bedroom and walk in closet which is only 440 square feet total. They wanted to charge us over 100 square feet more because there Mexican installer told them he needed a lot extra since it was textured carpet. They lost a valued customer! Word to the wise shop around and avoid Carpet Liquidators at all cost!!!!! This location is shady as hell and they will rip you off at all costs. Money isn't an issue for us at all. I bought a bound remnant special marked 11 x 10 but it turned out to be 10 x 9. When I returned it, the salesperson laughed and made excuses. All the work to bring it home, move furniture, and bring it back was for nothing. I'll never shop there again. read more

Update: After this review the manager ensured that I was contacted to fix this issue with my floor. It took about 2 months to get it fixed as the installers were busy and then did not show to our first appointment to fix the floors. but I am happy to report that today the installer came out and replaced some of the broken boards and put something underneath the really uneven part so it doesn't click out of place. Let's hope these fixes hold up as this flooring is no longer made and they used up all my leftover flooring to do this fix. One area wasn't able to be replaced as they ran out of flooring but overall I am much happier with the floor. read more

Let's see where to start...Brandon, from the start my Mother and I walk in and he takes us to the back to look at the commercial carpet we were looking for to carpet their garage landing and 4 stairs going down. When my mother gives him the measurements he says, " Well without exact measurements I couldn't give you a price quote." So then I asked him, "what about the measurements shes giving you aren't exact?", because they were exact measurements. He didn't like that we knew what we were talking about. He gave us a quote on what he said was 132sq ft. We decided on a carpet then went back in to set some things up with them and a nice woman helped us and gave us a quote. At this meeting we explained exactly how the stairs were laid out. Someone came out to take official measurements. After this Brandon called my mother again to tell her that we hadn't told him how the stairs were and that it would cost even more money because 3 of the four stairs needed to to have carpet wrapped all the way around (they aren't currently carpeted this way). Then Brandon tells her that he needs 100% payment upfront...... Never in all my years in the construction industry, or in my mothers years in construction banking, in our many various installations over the years ( windows, wood floors, roofs, etc. ) we have never had to pay the full amount up front. SO today me and my father went to a few other places, and not only did all of them say 132 sq ft was way too much for the measurements of our space, but all of the other companies had no problem not completely wrapping carpet around the 3 bottom stairs. So if you want to get completely ripped off and be talked down to as we were then go here and ask for Brandon! My Mother may have grey hair and be barely over 5' tall but I assure you she is smart as fuck. Her and my father have worked hard their whole lives and you Brandon don't deserve their hard earned money. Good day sir! You tried ripping off the wrong family. I purchased new flooring for my entire house from Carpet Liquidators 4 years ago. At first they were great and the installation went well. I was so excited as I had saved up for years to make this happen. But now all of my laminate flooring is separating after only 4 years! The installers came out and said the only way they can repair it is for me to purchase all new flooring (since the original is now discontinued) and pay the full installation cost. Very unhappy here. They wouldn't work with me or even meet me halfway so now I have to get all new flooring and spend another $3,000 plus after only 4 years! My salesperson, who happened to be the manager at the Everett location, was very knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. However, the installation team made a couple of big mistakes that I had to get fixed. One of the things they did is carpet over the gas fireplace igniters (both fireplaces). We had to have our handyman locate the igniters, cut out the carpet around them, and then tuck the carpet underneath the trim. The other thing they did was put the bedroom folding closet doors back on the hallway closet and the closet doors back on the bedroom closet. This was a very obvious mistake considering the size difference was huge. The closet doors wouldn't close at all and there was a big gap (about 2 feet) in the bedroom doors when fully closed. The carpet looks nice but I had to pay someone to fix their mistakes. read more

Very unsatisfied with our installation. We had to go through and make repairs. This was done in January and they removed something in the threshold of both doors that go outside. I actually sat in my living room and I could see my husband's car outside under the door. I literally could pass my hand under the door between the threshold and door to the outside. It was bitter cold outside, this air was coming in our home. They also left some work unfinished and told us they would be back in 4 days to finish. They never showed up. I love the product but with all the pieces we had to buy to repair what they did wrong or didn't even do it left a very bad taste in my mouth. I would never recommend this store to anyone. Don't waste your money. In the long run you will spend more. The starves for the product. It's a good laminate, Mohawk, I'd give it 4 stars but I don't want to give the company any stars. read more

My wife and I along with our carpet installer visited this location (actually moved to 725 SE Everett Mall Way) and was approached by the salesman, Jerrad Rodriquez. At first I introduced myself as he seemed timid and/or just unmotivated to be there. When we choose the carpeting and asked to be loaded out he said there was no warehouse guy available in a "I don't give a crap tone" which shocked all of us. He wanted to take our money but said we had to come back in two days. Why would you advertise "pick it up today" and have several in stock rolls only to tell your customers you can't have it today? In today's world where businesses are closing their doors and moving (like this company), I'm not giving you money without merchandise. We told him we would go to their Kirkland location and pick something up today. He laughed and said whatever. He called them in front of us (per our request) and laughed on the phone with whomever was on the line like this was a joke. When he hung up and was done humiliating us to his cohort on the other line he stated same thing, no warehouse guy. We immediately went to Home Depot up the street and found the exact same thing for half the price and they loaded us up in 10 minutes and thanked us with a smile. Although I am not a fan of "box" stores, and tried to support the smaller community business, I learned that I should not think just because they are locally owned and in our community that they will treat you with respect. Lesson learned. I will never enter another Carpet Liquidators again and do not recommend them to anybody else with their pretentious attitudes and higher prices. Please shop!!! read more

We recently moved to Lynnwood and stopped in to visit Carpet Liquidators about new carpet for our home. Brandon Carlon was helpful in giving us an idea of the best carpet for our needs and about how much it would cost, sent someone out to measure, and gave us a great price on our carpet. The 2 installers who came worked very hard and professionally. When they informed us at the beginning of the day that it would be a 2-day job, we told them we had furniture being delivered the next day at about noon. We tried to make a plan of the rooms that needed to be complete by then. Surprisingly, after lunch 2 additional guys came to help and they all worked late! The carpet was all complete by the time furniture was delivered. We love, love, love our carpet! We had a very pleasant experience working with this location. read more

My wife and I had a very discouraging experience with Carpet Liquidators. It started off smoothly enough, we found the "wood" flooring and carpet. The price seemed fair and we got a good deal on installation. Unfortunately, that is where the good news ends. To call the installation problematic feels like an understatement. The original job was supposed to take 4 days. It ended up taking slightly over a month to finish initially and after rework clocked in around two months. When problems arose, we tried going to Carpet Liquidators and immediately I was getting calls and texts from the installer not Carpet Liquidators. In my opinion, if my contract is with you, then you should be handling the contractor not me. Apparently they saw things differently. The contractor used two teams. One for the carpet and one for the "wood". The carpet team left the house was left in poor condition and I would classify the time they spent in our home as unprofessional at best. The "wood" crew did a fine job on the flat surfaces. Unfortunately for us, it was the first time they had ever done stairs. There were a couple issues, uneven installation where there would be no trim and spliced stair cap being the biggest offenders. When they came back for re-work it ended up worse. By this time Carpet Liquidators was handling the contractor directly (finally) and they sent a completely new crew to validate our complaints and agreed to completely rework the entire stairs and with that we called the job done. So while my experience with Carpet Liquidators proper was for the most part satisfactory. The experience with the installation crew and the way that Carpet Liquidators initially handled the problems was less than satisfactory. When you subcontract, those people represent you and this review is a direct result of folks that drastically misrepresented Carpet Liquidators. read more

I selected and paid for a LVP flooring and set up an install for 3 weeks later. A week before the install, I get a call from them telling me that they sold my floor I already purchased to someone else. So I had to pick a new one, made sure it gets a "SOLD" sign on it and verified the same install appt. I made sure I will have help removing the furniture ahead of the install and a few hours before the install, I get another call telling me the installer called in sick and we have to reschedule. I had to cancel my help and now have nobody for thee install next week to help me moving things around. read more

Around six months ago I came there to have an estimated price for some carpet. They came in did the measurements for the carpet. When I came in to the office today to have them pull up the estimate so I can have the carpet installed, they could not even find the estimate, and when they did the measurements wasn't even for what I was looking for. I needed the bedrooms measurements and they only had the hallway and living room.The customer service was so rude the lady barely wanted to help me . She acted like I was getting on her nerves ,this is just a awful place, the business is terrible ,customer service is awful. Lousy service. WAY over priced. They wanted $1643 for two small bedrooms prepped and ready for carpet. All their carpet is tired beige remnants and rolls. They do not order and they try to charge through the nose for low quality carpet. From the fact that the actual measurements are over a hundred square feet less than what they are charging, it appears that their installer is either an idiot or is trying to make up for all the lost business. read more

No problem at all until a guy from Carpet Liquidators come and measure my home. Do not know what he measure but finally he told me total is 900 s/f? After he left, we tried to measure again, total square feet the same with our first measure 650 s/f and plus 5 % for extra is 680 s/f. That is not acceptable, we give up, lost $45, but that OK, it is our fault to pick a wrong store. read more

This experience was terrible. We went into Carpet liquidators and chose them over home depot/ lowes even though home depot and lowes had a free install and shipping promotion. Mainly due to time frame that we needed as we're selling our house. They came out to measure our property and gave us a quote. Had installers lined up very quickly 1 week after first contact vs the 5 week turn around time for home depot/ lowes. (this is a pro) Upon installers doing work, not only did they said carpet liquidators measured our floor plan incorrectly but that they had to charge us more for the extra carpet. Roughly 40 sq feet more than that was originally measured. After getting the bill, we were charged for an additional 160 sq feet plus install for the whole 160 sq when it was indeed less. This is incredibly shady and gouging your customer. Installer's also damaged our property as they were putting the carpet into place with their tools. They scratched multiple spots on our trip and china cabinet but also put a 2 inch permanent marker making on our freshly painted wall. How can you do so much damage? Now we have to replace freshly painted trim and repaint our wall. Are you kidding me? Also we had the our stairs carpet replaced that leads to our basement door. The carpet was done incorrectly and our door will NOT close!!! We have to have them come back out to properly install this. This is a terrible experience and hope no one else has to go through this. If you use them, expect to have your bill ~$400 higher than their quote as they will nickel and dime you for their own error on measurements. I'm in construction and when we do a bid, if it's wrong due to our own calculations on bid. We have to eat the cost. We cannot bill the customer for our error. I would have been best waiting my 5 weeks for a more reputable company. Currently waiting for the owner to call us after 1 1/2 weeks. Will update once owner decides to call us. ******** 12/3/16 UPDATE: Apparently after speaking with the guy there was some confusion on the measurements. I'll take responsibility on this part even though they had a person come by to measure. And when they were installing, the installer said the measurement was still wrong and this where we had to pay for more. However, they did have a guy come by to take a look at the damage that was done during install and took a look at the door that leads into my basement. They smashed down the carpet with a hammer-like tool and was able to get the door to close. It's an older house and in order to bring the door up to code to sell. I need to have a fire door since my basement is also combined into my garage. With the install of this carpet, it will not allow me to install this door unless I cut the carpet back which is what I originally thought they were going to do. Secondly they took a look at the scratched trim, the scratched china cabinet and the permanent marker marking on the freshly painted walls. And offered $50 towards this. The $50 isn't going to take care of the repairs. We asked them why we should choose them over home depot / lowes especially since home depot and lowers were offering a free installing on carpet which would have saved us a bit of labor. The main selling point here was time frame, they were able to get an appointment for install within 1 week! (Good pro here for the company). Long story short, I'm glad this is done and put behind me and will have to fix issues that they caused which will ultimately cost me a little bit more money. I cannot recommend this people from my experience. When I hire professional installs and have my property damaged in the process. That is unacceptable. Now I do have to mention that the carpet does look great and everything for color and looks like we wanted and the install looks good. Cannot see any seams or issues with the carpet itself. The reason I changed my 1 star review to a 2 star review is because of their customer service was good and responsive on our requests and issues. read more

My husband and I did some carpet shopping, went to Lowe's, and others and received estimates that were hard to get and a long time in waiting. We went to Carpet Liquidators on a Sunday, received an estimate the next day, and carpeting installed on Wednesday! We were told this wasn't the norm, but even if it didn't happen that fast normally, I appreciated the service, the friendly service and courteous personnel. We received great information from Gabriel and follow up service from Michael and their carpet installation people. Well informed, kept us updated on installation and follow up. Purchasing from Brandon at Carpet Liquidators on Everett Mall Way was easy but even with my dimensions, they insisted on killing a day and measuring themselves. I have purchased carpet many times with this company but all of a sudden, my measurements were not good enough. I was charged $40.00 for this and had to take a day off work to be there. Then my install was improperly scheduled for a Saturday (Tenant move in day was same), I told them I had requested Thurs or Fri. We agreed on Frid at 9 AM. I got a call from Jack confirming the appointment....and it had to be rescheduled for Fri 2-4 pm. I had to take more time off work to be there. When the installers arrived they only had half the carpet needed for install and they arrived at 11:30! Jack called a few moments before their arrival and I rushed over to unlock the house. Because not all carpet was available for install, the usual 2 hr project ran into more than 4. They did not leave until 4:30 putting me way behind in getting the unit ready for rent the next morning. I did not notice that the molding installed at the carpet edge to the bathroom prevented the door from shutting. I had to call back on Saturday and request it be adjusted. Something has happened to this company since moving. It is not the same in service or workability for cost effective, deal making or customer care. Even the Manager Jack seemed unconcerned about the impact all this monkey motion had on getting this short term turn around rental taken care of. It didn't help that I had a big fever from the flu the entire time. The carpet is in, Felipe did a great and very apologetic job. He knew the time they were taking was hurting me. Two should have been assigned this job but only one was sent out. It would have made a difference. read more

My husband and I have used carpet liquidators for at least 5 times so far, but the most recent experience was very disappointing. They were supposed to install transitions between carpet and hard surface, but they failed to do so. When we called to ask them to address the issue, they said it would cost money for them to come out and fix the problem that they created in the first place. Since it was urgent and it took forever for them to get back to us, we paid a handyman to install it and asked for a small refund (less than $100) and it was basically the cost we hired another person to get the job done. They refused. We called the customer service and complained, the person said the manager would call us back but never did. So it's been a few weeks and the issue was not addressed. It wasn't a large amount of money so we probably won't bother to follow up. But given the fact that we are frequent customers and spend over 5 digits in this store, the lack of customer service is appalling. We won't be going back. Too bad that they lost loyal customers like us. read more

My wife and I are moving into a duplex next week and we needed new carpet. We went to this store because it is local and we had heard good things about them from friends. At first everything was fine we selected our new carpet and laminate and set up a time to have them come measure. I asked that the person doing the measuring contact me so I could show him which rooms were being done. He never called, he came measured and left I still don't know what was measured. We were quoted multiple time by multiple the sq ft. They supposedly measured changed 3 times and the overall price went from 3100 then quoted 3600 and now are asking for 7714. Though the sq ft. Has not changed by more then 50-100 sq ft. We were told that they don't know who quoted the 3600. They said the first time they just "screwed it up" and would try to get us an estimate then quoted the 3600. And apparently screwed up again and said it would have to be 7700 for 2500 sq ft. Carpet laminate and installation. Were so frustrated we have to move in by the end of next week but now we are unable to because they screwed us over were going to have to go somewhere else like empire today. read more

James was argumentative and expressed no accountability for measuring the space 500 SQ ft more than it actually was!!! They either intentionally or accidentally tried to charge me an extra $1500 - $2500. That is not ok. James had nothing to offer me- not even genuine words. I eventually had to hang up because he was so rude and unprofessional. I ended up going with Lowes who were very professional and thorough. Lowes happily double-checked their work, and their measurements were correct!!! read more
