This place had amazing customer service and knowledge about rugs! And, there were so many rugs on site!!

After looking around for a long time in various locations for a special rug, I was overwhelmed when I walked in the door! Palace Rugs has the most amazingly beautiful rugs in all sizes. The owner walked me through all the choices. I ended up buying three very large rugs there that have been a wonderful addition to my home. I get lots of compliments on them. I even exchanged one I had gotten for another one I liked better and the owner was very helpful with the exchange of rugs. Bought my first rug from Keivan at his original Bellevue location in 1998 and have followed him through his second location and into his current location, which is large and perfect for viewing large pieces. Over the years have bought several beautiful tribal Persian pieces and a handful of fine Persian city rugs. Friendly and professional service, beautiful selection, and all around positive shopping experience. A rug is a big investment, my partner and I walked into Palace Rug Gallery with a loose idea on what we wanted. We were shown some excellent rugs around our price range, but were unsure about pulling the trigger. We said we'd be back and with a better idea of size and color. When we returned a few days later, we were greeted with a friendly, "Hello, again!", from the same woman who was helping us the first time. We were glad she remembered us, and we got right to picking out a good rug for our room. She asked for a picture of the room so she could give guidance on finding a rug that would be fitting and exciting. We never felt rushed or pressured, even as the team of people working there was moving (many) rugs to help us find the right one, it was always, "take your time", "talk it over", "we can come back to this one", etc. Highly recommend this spot, and when we move out of our one bedroom apt, we will certainly be returning to be patrons of Palace Rug Gallery again! For a long time, I was looking for a large rug (8'x11') with a modern design that wasn't boring or expensive. As I was driving by, I decided to stop by to have a look. Surprisingly for what looks like a small mom and pop store, they did have a great selection of large rugs, which is rare. Their prices ranges are all over the range depending on whether you want natural hand-woven or synthetic, and they are willing to work on price. I felt like I got a good deal so I bought it and it looks good in my home and it feels really nice to walk on barefoot. read more

What terrible customer service! Unless you know EXACTLY what rug you want don't even bother with this place. The very last thing they apparently want to do is show you their rugs. I said I was interested in Gabbeh style rugs. You think they'd be delighted to show me some as I was expecting to spend between $3-$4K. Very rude owner and saleswoman. We weren't able to see any rugs, they are mainly interested in how much money you are about to spend and ask millions of questions before they show you anything. They have a terrific selection of rugs in all styles, colors, shapes and sizes. I ended up having a custom made rug designed to my colors and design. The price was very reasonable compared to the other stores I visited. They have a rug cleaning and repair service I've used for some older rugs I have. The quality of work done to clean and repair my rugs was very good. I was surprised at what a good job they did to repair and clean a rug I thought would never look good. this review is based on the fact that the owner reached out to a co-worker of mine, whom he refused to do business with if I didn't retract my review. I spoke to the owner to settle the matter, and he insisted that I was not telling the truth, I asked if he was calling me a liar and he said yes. I would have rated this 2 stars, because he reached out to me and asked me to call him, but I was not expecting a fight. Kudos to him for standing his ground, but honestly, if he thinks that I would just write a bad review for the hell of it, he has a very negative outlook on the general public and deserves a 1 star just for that! read more

It was such a relief to find this place. We bought a new house and needed area rugs for almost every room. After browsing online at Pottery Barn, West Elm, Crate and Barrel, etc., I realized it was going to cost us an arm and a leg to buy that many rugs. We stopped into Palace on a whim because they were having a sale -- and in less than an hour we walked out with four rugs and under budget. Layla was amazing -- she wasn't pushy in the slightest, she worked within our budget (which was pretty low), and found us the exact type of rugs we wanted (Pottery Barn-esque, easy to clean, and soft and cozy underfoot). Just purchased a handmade 9x12 abstract rug for living. Absolutely stunning... Keivan is gem of a person, paid full attention and patiently explained each and everything about rugs and helped us pick the best. We actually picked different one first but didnt like it so returned to store within 2 hours and picked another one. This is by far the best rug gallery I have been to in a long time. I've been around to several rug stores in the Seattle and Bellevue Areas and this one takes the cake! As an interior designer, I appriciate the fact that the owners know their inventory inside and out. I recently purchased 2 large rugs from Leyla for our great room and master bdrm. She has a 6th sense, listening closely to help narrow down their huge selection to something manageable. She was patient and earnest about finding exactly the right thing. She knew her stock and as we talked pulled out specific rugs for me to preview, her enthusiasm made the experience fun for this "non shopper". We went into Palace Rugs not sure what to expect as this was our first substantial purchase of high quality rugs. We were very happy with Leyla. She got a good feel for our home and our tastes and then proceeded to show us rugs. She continued to inquire about our preferences and continued to fine-tune the rug selection. She was patient as this was a very big purchase for us. We left feeling great about our investment. We got home and put the rug down. Turns out, once we saw it in our home, it didn't feel like a good fit. We called, very worried about the return policy and having spent so much on a rug that we might not like. Leyla was great. We brought it back and she had two more rugs already pulled out for us to look at. We finally found another rug and were very pleased to see it fit very well into our home. We worked with another rug company and were very disappointed with their service. It was nice to work with Palace Rugs and to feel like customer service was a priority. I rarely write reviews, but we had such a terrific experience here that I wanted to let people know about it. We originally picked out a rug from the Seattle location that it turned out would not be available for quite a long time. The owner called us directly to apologize and asked if we could come to the Bellevue location where they had more inventory to choose from and he said he would be there personally to assist us. We agreed on a time and when we arrived he had already pulled out several items for us to look at. He was so helpful, and pulled out many rugs based on what we liked as we began looking. He took quite a bit of time with us, and he and his wife Layla were very helpful, and they have so many beautiful rugs. In the end we found a rug that we absolutely love and at a great price for very excellent quality. He also helped us find a rug for our entry way that goes well with the large rug we purchased. Then, he made sure the rug was moved from their warehouse to their Seattle store the same day so we could pick it up close to home that afternoon. I felt like each step of the way he went the extra mile to be accommodating and helpful. In our experience the customer service here was excellent. The next time we need another rug we are going here again for sure. read more

I wandered in after being disappointed with 3 other stores inventory and was quite frankly sick of looking at boring (and extremely expensive) rugs. I was excited to see stylish and sophisticated rugs mixed in with the traditional Persian rugs we all know and love. The employees went above and beyond to move piles of rugs back and forth as they got to know my style. I knew we would be buying our rugs here when I met Leila, the on site interior designer. My husband, a businessman is usually a tough sell but he invited Leila over to pick out rugs for ever room in our house. She nailed our style (a mix of clean contemporary and cozy vintage). Along with 2 employees to move furniture and rugs, she brought rugs that would compliment our grey hardwood floors, suit our wall paper, and remain practical for our lifestyle. Such a great and efficient experience. Stopped in today with my husband as we have just purchased a new home and needed a couple of rugs. Leyla was fantastic. She was very attentive and very thorough. She asked what we were looking for, asked about the spaces and colors and our overall style. Also asked if we had any pics of the rooms (which I had the listing photos on my phone). For both rooms she had something in mind and in both cases pulled the perfect rug the first time (we looked at a few others as well, but the first ones were great). It was surprising how good she was and quite impressive. Price was very reasonable. I had expected to pay at least twice as much for the two rugs if not more, but was pleased to find rugs we liked for a lower price. Leyla also didn't try to sell us a more expensive rug just to sell us something more expensive. She was focused on what she thought would work. I will absolutely return. read more

After visiting several rug galleries, we stopped in here (Bellevue location) to check it out. And, we're thrilled we did! The customer service from beginning to end was absolutely outstanding. Leyla, her husband and the rest of the team worked tirelessly with us to find selections that matched our taste and needs. They have thousands of rugs of varying styles and sizes--an absolutely astounding collection. Prices are kept in check and very reasonable since they travel extensively to purchase their rugs and avoid any middleperson. So, you're buying direct versus incurring the costs of several different parties. After having visited some locations with our designer (where she received significant discounts), we found much more selection and service from Palace Rug and prices that beat the designer-discounted prices at other galleries. Keep in mind that you're buying high-end, quality rugs here that will last a lifetime in most cases. They have price-points to meet just about anyone's budget, however. We ended up purchasing three rugs for what we would have paid for the price of one somewhere else. We'll definitely go back to finish our rug needs in the future. A 5-star experience all the way around. Stop in, check 'em out, they'll take care of you. Most helpful if you bring in pictures of the room(s) you're interested in "rugging." Really helps the team to select the right style, colors and sizes for your needs. It will save you time by just taking some quick photos and bringing them along with you on your visit. Wow what a place to select your dream rug. A friend recommended  Palace rug to us. They were very happy with their purchases with them. They told us to be prepared to look at a lot of rugs. They also told us to make the processes easier and faster  take the picture of the room plus our fabric. It was actually very easy. When we got there one of their designer on the site greeted us. We told her what size we were looking for and showed her our pictures and fabric . She selected 7 pieces out of their inventory. We were so surprise how smooth things went and before we know we left with our beautiful rug . We will defiantly go back. read more

They are rude, condescending and the merchandise is overpriced. The owner and his wife think they are somehow above their customers. He has a temper and does not know how to manage it. He actually told me that he was better than his customers! We were in the market for 4 large area rugs for our new home and prepared to spend thousands of dollars for them. After being mistreated at Palace Rugs, we found two of the rugs elsewehre. The rugs were of comparable quality and less expensive than what Palace would have charged. And, the service at the other stores was far superior to anything Palace did. I have heard from other people that the owner of Palace Rugs is "problematic" and after our experience there, I agree. read more

Purchased a beautiful Persian rug for my wife's birthday (it's what she wanted). The husband and wife owners were very patient, kind, and helpful. We had our two small children with us and they very good with them. They opened up quite few different rugs on the showroom for my wife to see. She was worried to have them open so many rugs but they made it clear that they wanted her to be completely satisfied with the rug she selected. She found the right one and she adores it.
