You might not have to shop for these things very often--all they stock is carpet, stone, tile, and other floor coverings. Well, lots of these things also cover walls and shower stalls and whatnot as well. And hearths, which is where they enter my shopping list. It's an ordinary little tilt-up office development with some retail mixed in. There's a Costco in here somewhere. This particular store is enormous, with literally hundreds, maybe thousands, of different materials. It's a lot to get your mind around when you first walk in; it's just humongous. That's where the staff comes in. The woman who helped me was named Glenda, and she was amazing. As soon as I gave her a few words describing what I was looking for, she was charging around pointing out examples. I showed her a photo of my fireplace and she zeroed right in on great choices for hearth coverings, then she found even better ones a few minutes later. She knew everything about installing tile, from practical considerations of measuring, selecting, and adhering the material all the way to how to pick the best stylistic and aesthetic choices. She was extraordinarily competent and amazingly helpful. I'll definitely come back here if I need anything else in the realm of what they stock. read more

She is knowledgeable about product (like, deeply!), helps with getting samples, knows a lot about product history and discontinued flooring, and is just a pleasure to deal with. the main floor in our house is no longer sold in the U.S. due to tariff changes and it was Glenda who gave me all this information, leading me to drive to Canada to get it. I worked with Glenda on picking out carpet to make a runner for our stairs. She was incredibly easy to work with. She pointed out the carpets that she thought would best fit my needs. And she periodically checked in with me to see if I needed any help. Not only did she send me home with a lot of great samples but she also priced out each carpet including the dimensions and pattern repeat. I was referred to Heather at Contract Furningings Mart, in Everett, by my contractor, Charles of 132nd Constructs LLC. The showroom was at first overwhelming with so many beautiful options for flooring and tile. Heather was able to quickly steer me in the right direction and help me find the look I was after while staying within my budget. I am most grateful to Heather for ensuring that all the products I selected complimented each other. She also is very gifted at choosing just the perfect shade of grout, which surprisingly can make all the difference. CFM seems to be doing a nice job with Covid precautions -hand sanitizer at the door, everyone consistently wearing masks. My product all came in quickly and were of great quality. I wanted to take a minute to write how Tyler Showlund went FAR above and beyond to help me (and my family) move into our new home. We had a schedule for the flooring install the week before we move in. The flooring contractor we used was wonderful, and uses CFM. We ordered new flooring to be installed the week before we moved in. We have 5 rescue dogs, so HAD to have this done prior to moving. I was told it would arrive sometime on a Friday, and had the contractor booked for the following Monday and Tuesday, moving in on Friday (Thursday was Thanksgiving, so it was a tight schedule). That Saturday I came to CFM, and the flooring wasn't there...I panicked. Tyler was very nice and walked me up to the front desk, but nothing could be done. Monday came, and the flooring was set to arrive sometime that day, but no idea when. Heather and I started calling the shipping company, and by 3:30 I decided to go to CFM and wait. Tyler remembered me from the following Saturday. He apologized for the delay. I don't know if you ever had anything go sideways, but just hearing the words "I'm sorry" meant so much (and I fully knew it wasn't Tyler's fault, but I appreciated the sentiment). I called the delivery company again, as CFM was going to close soon. They diverted the driver from his route to CFM...but it wouldn't arrive until after closing. Tyler was my hero! He stayed late JUST so my shipment would make it to me. He was so calm and sweet, and I was so worried and apologetic. He couldn't have been more wonderful. Tyler stayed an hour late - just for me - to make sure that we got our flooring so we could move in on time. I was blown away. He didn't have to do that, and we would have moved into our home late and who knows when our contractor would have been able to squeeze us in, but SOLELY because of Tyler, it went seamlessly after the truck arrived. I am forever grateful to him for that day. I was really upset at how things had gone up to that point, but my faith in your company was restored purely by his kind heart. I hope this email reaches management and he gets this in a review (or better yet, a bonus!) but more than anything I want you to know what a really solid, customer oriented employee you have in him. This was the worst experience I have ever had with something as simple as new flooring. The buying experience super unprofessional, the lady selling the flooring was rude and continuously trying to tell me that my contractor was not good enough to install the product and I should use the people she recommends. After we were finished placing the order with this condescending sales representative we were told the flooring will be in next week. Approximately 4 days later I was told the flooring is on back order. When it came time to pick it up, I went in only to find out that I couldn't come after 4:30 because the warehouse was closed and nobody there could get to my flooring and they could not use the forklift, no big deal. Since I work I could not make it by that time so I was told I could come on Saturday. Since I didn't want to waste another trip I called in this morning (Saturday) right when they opened at 8:31 and connected to the warehouse. There I was greeted by a guy who answered "yabba dabba do" I asked him if he could verify that my flooring was in and accessible. He very rudely interrupted me and aggressively said to me "I am with a customer!" (I guess I'm not a customer?) so I said oh ok I'm sorry I was just trying to verify before I came, before I could saying the word "trying"he interrupted me again and said "I said I'm with a Customer!) I was so offended by his unprofessional behavior that I wanted to hang up. He then says, "order number?" I told him the number and he said "phone number" I told him my phone number and he said "I'll call you back" and hung up. After 45 minutes of waiting I decided to just go in and pick it up without confirming the order. I will make sure to tell everyone I know about this horrible experience! This was the WORST service ever!! What a joke!! read more

Terrible service. We went their twice to pick out tile. One day was a Saturday and it was really busy so we were not too surprised that the sales people did not help us. The second time was on a Thursday afternoon and the place was empty of customers. Still not a single sales person deigned to help us. We thought OK maybe they just work with our contractor. So we picked out some tile on our own and asked the receptionist if the tile was still available she was rude and acted like were a real nuisance. Then we told our contractor we had picked some tile and he wanted to know what sales person we worked with and we said none. He was surprised, but placed the order for the tile. So after some weeks passed and we're ready to install the tile it turns out CFM never bothered to place the order for the tile size we chose. Even though the product was clearly marked as carried locally they claim that they cannot get it for another 6 weeks, because of Chinese New Year. Hello, Chinese New Year was in February and it is June. read more
