I have used this company three times as a sub-contractor of Home Depot to install carpet. First time had many frustrating challenges by scheduled day (me taking time off work unnecessarily) twice due to van troubles and also arriving later time of arrival window time provided. The installers took all of the left-over carpet. Second time also late arrival and only sent one installer so it took much longer than necessary into the evening. Seams were very visible. Had them come back to fix seams Third time was the charm, Ivan and his coworker was GREAT! Arrived early very efficient, clean, answered questions, professional and friendly, did a fantastic job!! Carpet installers walked off the job at 6pm on Good Friday by refusing to haul away an entire house full of old padding and carpet left on our driveway with rain imminent. They made up a lame excuse they found animal stains on everything when all they pointed out was a dried beverage spill on a remnant. Home Depot Bothell was unable to compel Romanoff manager of site ops (Cassie) to honor the full contract. We are waiting for a rebate. I had ordered flooring from home depot for installation. home depot had contracted Romanoff for installation. Romanoff had scheduled to come out for Friday for installation and we have paid for movers to clearout the items a day ahead and we had arranged for someone to be at the house. they called and cancelled 1 or 2 hours before the install. They mentioned the subcontractor they had chosen had called-out. We lost money paying the movers trying to get the home prepped for the last minute cancel. They scheduled again for the next day between 11-2P and again i had arranged someone to be at the house. the installer from Romanoff was a no-show. He texted me at 6P and mentioned his earlier job ran long. the installer didnt have the courtesy to contact me ahead of this delay. I tried to call Romanoff but their offices were closed on the weekends. The installer texted me sunday that he could come that day. He was rude and seemed unprofessional and not equipped to do the job. Also he was by himself. He mentioned he cannot install the chosen flooring even though homedepot had verified that this could be installed. There was a communication issue between Home depot and romanoff. Romanoff did not verify the feasibility of installation with home depot or even review the details of the job ahead of time. I thought working with home depot and romanoff would lead to a reasonably smooth installation but the whole experience was unprofessional and lot of wasted time and money. read more

If I could give a lower rating I would. Romanov Renovations installed LVP flooring in our home a little over a year ago. in the past month, we had a pipe spring a leak under the house in the crawl space. The plumber came out and determined that the cause of the leak was a finishing nail that went through the pipe. the plumber explained that when this happens, it can be sealed until such a time as the nail rusts out and then you get a leak. Plumber confirmed that is what happened. When I presented Romanov with the plumber report and pictures, they denied any wrong doing. The 'adjuster' said that there wasn't proof that it was a finishing nail from romanov. (** We have been in the house for 11 years and that's the first work we have had done in the affected area). I asked if they could at least help me repair the floor that had to be removed to fix the pipe and again was met with a hard no. It is clear that the adjuster did not understand how the mechanics of nails and wood work. also clear that they hire installers that are not experienced enough to avoid these pitfalls. I would not recommend them to anyone and will be taking the case to Home Depot who is the parent company that subcontracted them. read more

Management refused to accommodate my request to have them reschedule someone else or do overtime to get carpet installed. No reason given for last minute cancelation. Management offered another day next week or following week. I have zero confidence in this company won't cancel again at last minute. I have no choice but to cancel my order for carpet and go somewhere else. read more

Romanoff, in my opinion, are not the best as far as telling their subcontractors what is going on. The main problem is, a guy does come out to confirm the measurements, but no effort is made as to what precisely is going to need to be done such as tear-out, floor leveling, etc. Also, they apparently don't like to pay for 2 people, because stacked appliances can easily delay your project for a week or more. read more

The company was really good at coordinating with me, coordinating with Home Depot about delivery, and checking in to make sure we were happy with our installer. My husband and I purchased carpet from the Bellingham Home Depot. They have a policy of having you pay up front which is a bad policy, because they subcontract with a business out of Oregon called Romanoff. Romanoff apparently has scheduling problems and does not honor appointments. My experience was they cancelled my appointment the day before my installation and could not come out until the following week. Well, I work from home and this really inconvenienced me. Having paid up front I had no recourse but to wait and be displaced from my home work office for a week. This was very challenging and inconvenient. Calling Home Depot for assistance is a waste of time because they already had my full payment and passed the buck to their subcontractor Romanoff who was useless as well. They offered nothing to accommodate me for my inconvenience. I won't spend my money here again on carpet installation and would not recommend Home Depot/Romanoff for carpet installation. read more

The installers worked seamlessly with Home Depot to install vinyl plank flooring over the main floor. They removed the carpet and 1980's kitchen tile and completed the job in one day (working until 10:30 pm). When the baseboards were the wrong size, Home Depot delivered a shipment the same day. couldn't be more pleased. The total cost was exceptional. read more

The text I received on installation day was amazing..."we want your experience with Romanoff to be EXCEPTIONAL (it was in all caps) so call us with any questions or concerns...". I've called twice with no return call. They dismantled our primary bedroom closet system but did not re install it properly and it is now collapsing and unusable because of the danger of collapse. I have areas where the carpet is creased and also areas where the carpet meets the wood floor and it is shoddy looking. I've contacted Home Depot for help re-installing the closet system since they contract with Romanoff. It's disappointing to say the least when one spends thousands of dollars on a carpet install and it creates this many (yet unresolved) issues. read more

Manager Cassidy is the worst!! Doesn't know anything about actually working on the field and she gives instructions to the workers that come to do the job to leave the project unfinished, even though that means leaving the clients with a bad experience. If the workers don't do as she says, she won't assign them jobs anymore. Worst worst worst. She should be fired and the management above her doesn't do anything!! She's trashing the name of the company when all the workers on the field do is working hard. read more

Contracted through Home Depot for carpet install in 1 bedroom + stairs. After 6 weeks, our installer showed up, took one look at the old linoleum, and said he could not complete the work until it was asbestos tested. I get it and I want them to be safe. It just wouldn't been nice to know BEFORE the day of install. We got the test within 24 hrs but had to book out another 6 weeks for installation. Added bonus: he left bare tack strips on the stairs that we had to remove ourselves to protect our pets. We managed to get install earlier due to a cancellation. But the work is questionable. There were several nails sticking up out of the carpet that we've removed or more fully hammered in. And he damaged our 100 year old molding, DISPOSING of the pieces without telling us. I could have repaired it with the pieces - now I have to find a way to match and replace several feet worth of molding. read more
