The Cuban pizza is something you can't get anywhere else but very tasty. Quick service. Never had a bad meal.

We tried Slackwater's Cheese pizza, Southern Comfort pizza, and California Sunrise pizza. Here's the skinny: Cheese: Let's get the bad news out of the way: the cheese pizza was missing sauce. You could kind of taste it (maybe?) but it really just tasted like cheese bread. We may need to try it again to see if maybe this was a fluke or their standard cheese pizza treatment. As cheese bread it was good. As cheese pizza it was meh. The crust was good though. Southern Comfort: Yummy barbecue sauce and good portions of pulled pork. It was a well-topped pizza. The coleslaw was a fun touch though neither my husband nor I could pick up on the maple citrus flavors the menu mentioned. But I really liked the texture it gave the pizza. California Sunrise: Now let me tell you about my new love. The California Sunrise has green goddess sauce x 2 (as the sauce base and as a fresh drizzle), chicken, bacon (let me repeat that, bacon!), and avocado. Add some chiffonade spinach on top (before or after the drizzle) and you have yourself a very, very tasty pizza. The flavors were mellow but complex and there were fun textures from the creamy avocado, the tender chicken, the sometimes-crunchy bacon, the "shredded" spinach, and that deliciously chewy crust. I will dream about this pizza - and then probably drive over the next day and get myself a pie. Overall: Skip the cheese pizza and definitely check out the California Sunrise. But only if you're prepared to commit to an everlasting love of pizza perfection. Note: We ordered via phone call during COVID and picked up curbside. The server had a mask on when she brought our pizzas to our vehicle. Ordering over the phone was easy and convenient. read more

My wife and I weren't impressed with pizza, which to be fair was probably a result of some aggressive choices on our part. The reason for the three star review was the service. We waited over 10min for our waiter, another 15min for our beer and so long for our food (without seeing our waiter) that we had to ask another member of the staff to figure out what was going on. Might eventually try again, but there are so many other good places to go first. read more

Yummmm! When it comes to Gastro pubs, I just end up with gas... lol. This fun establishment has a slew of gluten free items on the menu and they are not just gluten free.... they're delish!!! Say goodbye to cardboard pizza and hello yummyness! "This is Sparta!" Gluten free will knock your socks off with its roasted garlic and artichoke hearts... speaking of roasted garlic the "check your garlic breath" app and "chili verde nachos" are soo good, your tongue will jump right out and slap you in the forehead! Yesssss they have a beer that tastes like an orange creamsicle! What, what?!?!Mmmm mmm. Going back for seconds! read more

Great food and great service. We are always impressed when we eat here. It was some of the best service we've had in a long time at a restaurant. read more

We love Slackwater! The pizza, the desserts, and sandwiches are all amazing! We read some yelp reviews before going this time and someone suggested the wings so we gave them a try and they were so good!! My husbands favorite food is wings, he is a self proclaimed wing connoisseur and he said they were cooked to perfection and the sauce of the month had great flavor. I ordered the Iron horse pizza which is the owners favorite and my husband did the the Buffalo sandwich which looked like a calzone but he loved it! Our food came out super fast and our waiter was prompt with filling up our drinks. We went there around 9:30pm on a Friday and there were still a ton of people there. It has a fun environment!! read more

Good food! Ingredients tasted fresh and good quality. Our server was nice and accommodating. Food took about 15-20 minutes to come out, it was busy. Overall good experience read more

Wanted local pizza and found this place. We were seated and served quickly. Many fun beer options and unique pizzas. We both enjoyed

Short and sweet review on this one. Slackwater is always great. Glad I used yelp to reserve a table ahead of time. Basically no wait when we arrived while there were others that had over an hour before a table could be open. Busy, but staff was still awesome and accomadating. Service was quick and food was great as well. read more

This is a great restaurant. We've been multiple times with lots of friends and they're always great to accommodate big or small groups. I have loved everything on the menu, however the drink menu is quite overwhelming. I think I've tried something different every time and haven't been disappointed yet. I love the atmosphere and the servers are really knowledgeable about describing drinks and food which is helpful to me. read more

This is getting 5 stars because I literally just ate the most unique pizza I have ever had and it was fuego!! The Tikka Masala pizza with tikka sauce base, grilled chicken breast, rice, and topped with masala sauce it's creative pizza deliciousness at its finest! Unique pizza! Loved eating on the patio! Servers were very attentive and made sure we were taken care of

Great atmosphere with great food. I've never had a bad experience here and this time did not disappoint either.

Seating was a little too close for my comfort (I guess restaurants are seating full capacity now?) However the food didn't disappoint. we started off with the nachos and we ate them so fast I barely was able to get a picture of what was remaining. We all got different pizzas to try and they were fabulous. Awesome crust and fresh toppings. Good ranch too! Our service was also great. We will be going back. I wish they had a location in Sugarhouse/Millcreek! read more

BEST gluten free pizza ever! Not only that, but ALL the pizzas are wonderful. My husband is gluten free, and I took a bite, couldn't even tell it was gluten free. We usually go here when we are going to see a play at the Hale Center Theater in Sandy. My kids love it, and everyone has many options!! I am just sad they don't have one in Utah County! read more

I guess we are just used to Chicago pizza. Their pizza seemed light and not so tasty and it was mostly crust. The place was packed so people must enjoy the lighter pizza. I'll pass. read more

We had an amazing dinner! We were a party of 17 on a Saturday night so already a challenge. We called a few hours ahead and a manager was amazing and kind, they added us to the waitlist no problem. When we got there it was just a bit of a wait - expected for a party our size. The managers did an amazing job, keeping us updated on the status of the other tables that need to clear in order to make a big one for us. Our server was AMAZING! He was so quick at getting our orders and the food out. He also was very efficient as he split the checks while taking the order which is usually a pain at most places to figure that out at the end but since he did it at the beginning paying was so easy! The food was an amazing per usual, the hot honey dp pizza was delicious! 10/10 recommend always! Just be sure to put yourself on the waitlist before coming! read more

I'm not one who usually likes pizza crust but Slackwater has the BEST pizza dough ever. I love the ambiance of the place and can't wait until the outdoor seating opens. It's very much millennial and the dark lighting with lots of greenery has such a fun vibe. It's a little noisy inside but such a fun environment and the food is amazing. I got the california sunrise pizza and it was 10/10. The coco salad is also amazing too. read more

I've loved everything I've ordered here. The service is always amazing. The lights get turned down a bit too low during the evening, but we all have flashlights on our phones so it's never bothered me enough to stop me from coming! read more

Great little place for drinks and pizza. Been 4x and consistent on food quality, staff and ambience. Live Music is awesome Negative: LONG wait on weekends. Pizza is ok, not the greatest but you are their for friends and good times vs just for food. Worth it. Will be back. read more

Delicious food. Friendly service. Wide variety of unique pizza items. You can tailor to your wants.

Great food. Great options for gluten and dairy free. There's often a wait but it's worth it.

California sunrise pizza & Caesar salad are the best items on the menu IMO! Make sure to add yourself to the waitlist ahead of time or you'll be waiting a while especially on the weekends! read more

Went with my wife in a Friday night, they were really busy but were able to get us a table in under 15 minutes, which we were very happy about. Food was delicious and didn't take very long at all considering how busy they were. Staff was friendly and helpful. One thing that I did notice was that almost every table was full and even with all those people my wife and I were able to hear and talk very easily without having to talk over other people. I will be going back very soon! read more

Soooo good!! Best pizza and salad ever! It's very busy though so go at off times. Try the California pizza.

They've pretty much duplicated their place in Ogden. The patio in Ogden is nicer since you're next to the stream. The food and beer is excellent in both. They are everything that is good about a gastropub. The food generally trods well known territory, although there are some gems hiding in the menu. One of those is the whole head of baked garlic. Simple, but genius to put on a menu. The beer selection matches the other handful of places that are probably more well known for big beer lists. You will find more beers here that you want to try than you will be able to drink on your visit. All the food is excellent. The territory may be familiar, but the quality is higher. They did proper distancing, mask wearing, and sanitizing. I do not worry about coming here in the days of COVID. I do wear a mask in the common areas because I am not an a$$hole. read more

Love the mac & cheese pizza. Services is always great. Make sure you use the Yelp app to get on the waitlist

Great food, fun environment, and great service. Their pizza is next level. Highly recommend.

Boy did this place catch me by surprise and offguard. As someone who considers himself pizza snob with pizza being my favorite overall food, I can say that I did not expect to find this quality of pizza at a local chain within Salt Lake City. The buffalo chicken is a 9.8 out of 10 with the spicy yet subtly sweet Buffalo sauce with honey. The blue cheese complements this tremendously as well. The best pizza of the three that we ordered no question. Gyro pizza I was also a true 9.7 out of 10. The quality of the tzatziki sauce really makes this dish exceptional. The Gyro meat is of appropriate proportion and high-quality test to complement yet not overpower this dish. Additionally, the subtle lemon pepper sauce is a surprisingly perfect and excellent combination. The chicken tikka pizza is a 5.9 out of 10. The chicken as well as the tikka masala sauce was flavorful yet did lack in enough bold spice. I just felt at this pizza was missing something and that thing may very well have been more heat with either red chili or cayenne. That being said this may also be comparison bias as the other two pizzas were simply exceptional. Will definitely return and try more flavors next time. Their menu is extensive, unique, fresh, and exciting. read more

Been coming here about a year now and I've loved it every time. My friends and make it a point to come at least once a month to try the specials for the month. Absolutely loved the June special that had a strawberry glaze sauce. I felt like I couldn't get enough of it and the sangrias are always to crisp and refreshing. The place is always packed whether it's for lunch or dinner so I do recommend joining the wait list especially if you are coming with a big group. read more
