Great chicken tikka masala pizza and garlic breath appetizer! Delicious!!!! I was blown away with how delicious both things were. The chicken tikka masala pizza had a great crust. I was skeptical but people seemed to like it and I love chicken tikka masala so gave it a try. I'm sure glad I did! You could taste the Indian spices in the masala. The rice on the pizza was good too. The pizza came with a small cup of the tikka masala sauce too. I highly recommend this pizza. The garlic breath appetizer was super good. I was impressed with how much food came with the appetizer. It was great value for the price it is. Three heads of roasted garlic, many pieces of toasted bread with pesto on it, and a large cup of creamy Gorgonzola cheese with diced tomatoes and onions. The garlic was super good with the dip. The garlic cloves I dug out with a fork and added them on top of the dip. My husband smashed his cloves out with his hand. My husband ordered the gyro trio pizza. He easily ate the entire pizza and most of our appetizer. The pizzas aren't super big but for me, it was the perfect size and I had leftovers. He liked his pizza but liked mine much more. I did curbside pickup. There is one curbside pickup spot. It's a handicap spot that has a takeout sign over it. There are still two other handicap spots in the front. There was quite a wait (5 minutes) to place out to go order. I almost hung up and ordered takeout from elsewhere because it was quite a while. I paid over the phone, which made the pick up process much quicker. When I arrived to pick up my food, it was out to my car within 5 minutes of calling. We came here on Sunday evening, about an hour before closing. This wasn't the first time though -- we've tried coming here on a Saturday before, and the place was packed, the waitlist insane. Luckily we were able to sit at the bar right away the second time we visited. Love the EXTENSIVE beer list. I really want to come back and try more, but we only ordered a few. We were pleased with all the beers we tried. I cannot for the life of me remember the beer names or recognize them on their beer list online. We ordered a Half Caesar salad, Nate's Buffalo Wings, and the Pua'a Luau pizza to share. The personal pizza size is good for two people to share and a great price in comparison to other places. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors are all there, but I don't like when the crust is super thick yet the inner part of the pizza is thin and limp. The buffalo wings were delish and definitely hit the spot. They give you a big ol' bowl of blue cheese and/or ranch, too. The Caesar was excellent -- loved the tangy dressing and crostini that came with it. Pretty much stole this from the BF... Overall prices are very fair, and our bartender + the rest of the staff were cool enough to let us watch the end of a very interesting MLB game that was on. I have been wanting to check this place out for a minute. We finally made it after visiting the RV show this past weekend. On Sat at 5pm- the place was already hopping. All in all- it was just ok. The menu lacked variety- typical bar food. But nothing stupendous. They do not have a full bar- beer and wine only. If that is what you're looking for- this place will get the job done. Great food! I got the nachos which were big enough for 2-3 people the share! My friends got the pizzas and they were delicious. They have vegan and gluten-free options as well as gluten-free beer as well. It wasn't took busy and they were able to seat us quickly. The weight staff was very nice and was able to help us choose a good beer. They did get a little rowdy as the night progressed so just be aware of that. It's not bad just can get loud. read more

Excellent place! Visiting from out of state and my brother took us here. We got there around 4pm and we're able tog eat seated right away! Seems like a great place to just hang out or even catch a game Can't say enough about the staff. Jake our server was awesome. Super friendly and helpful! He recommended spicy marinara sauce with loaded stick. It was great! A nice kick with a smokey flavor too it. The Honey DP pizza was really good! I have never in my life associated honey with pizza until now. A little honey drizzled over the top gave it a slight kick with a sweet finish. I don't drink alcohol anymore so was even more pleased when I saw they had some non-alcoholic beers available. When I'm back in the area I will be making my way here again for sure! read more

Super packed on a Monday night (good sign). Even with the longer wait time the staff were efficient and super nice. Our server (Cass) was awesome, super accommodating and made it the smoothest restaurant visit ever (we had a rowdy 4 year old in our party). The pizza and calzones were awesome. We wife an I make an all time best place to eat and Slackwater is now in the top spot for Salt Lake. The check in was super smooth and accurate and it seemed like everyone was so dang happy to be there. The manager, Joey (I believe) sat us and was genuinely excited that this was our first time here. It got better from there as we had Jackie as our server. We needed up with the Tiki Misala and the Iron Horse. It's hard to explain how amazing these pizzas are, I would even call them a pizza. Even though the place was super full, it was spaced enough for us to enjoy a private conversation and enjoy the great live music. We never felt rushed and the prices were honestly super fair. Got a chance to hit it up with my hommie - love the huge selection of beers, menu has a lot of good options (limited on choices, but good options), and a pretty stellar pizzar menu. Service was amazing, sat at the bar. Our two servers were mad dope, gave us some good recommand looked out for us. Somebody said "best wings I have ever had" and they were subpar. But not bad! I didn't want to believe the hype, but Slackwater is worth every penny. With an outdoorsy, hipster-but-not-snooty vibe, Slackwater reminds me of a certain brewpub I used to frequent in Portland, OR (if you know, you know). Their bottle and draft list is extensive and--by Utah standards--pretty impressive. Food was fantastic. We got Nate's wings and the pizza special, which had roasted figs, chevre, and a few other things I forget. Not only was the food great, but it was also affordable. In a time where every other establishment is jacking up their prices with reckless abandon (I saw an order of 8 wings for $16 the other day. That's $2 per wing!), Slackwater seems to keep things reasonable. I can't remember for sure but I got either 10 or 12 wings for about $13. And from a wing connoisseur such as myself I can honestly say they were right up there with some of the best wings I've ever had. The pizza was awesome, and not too pricy either (around $14). I would expect a pizza like this elsewhere to be around $18 or $20. All in all, great experience. I'll be back as soon as I can. read more

Updating my review just to leave another 5 stars! I looove coming here and will suggest it whenever friends want to go out for drinks and food. Last night 7 of my coworkers and I went out to celebrate a birthday. One of my coworkers is lactose intolerant and ordered a somewhat-specific pizza to accommodate that. The kitchen made her first pizza with cheese so they brought it out to us and let us snack on it while they remade her food correctly. She was totally fine with waiting for it but then the amazing manager (did not get his name) comped her meal regardless just for the wait! I started with a healthy-ish choice of a Cobb salad with chicken but curiosity got the best of me with the "you'll be stuffed sticks". The title is accurate- rich, tasty ricotta cheese in a pillowy pocket... I ate the whole thing solo! The sauce is tasty too. The salad was crisp and well portioned. I added the grilled chicken as well and it was seasoned to perfection. No complaints here the entire meal was delicious. The wait staff was on point and friendly. Enough said here. My wife and I weren't impressed with pizza, which to be fair was probably a result of some aggressive choices on our part. The reason for the three star review was the service. We waited over 10min for our waiter, another 15min for our beer and so long for our food (without seeing our waiter) that we had to ask another member of the staff to figure out what was going on. We love Slackwater! The pizza, the desserts, and sandwiches are all amazing! We read some yelp reviews before going this time and someone suggested the wings so we gave them a try and they were so good!! My husbands favorite food is wings, he is a self proclaimed wing connoisseur and he said they were cooked to perfection and the sauce of the month had great flavor. I ordered the Iron horse pizza which is the owners favorite and my husband did the the Buffalo sandwich which looked like a calzone but he loved it! Our food came out super fast and our waiter was prompt with filling up our drinks. We went there around 9:30pm on a Friday and there were still a ton of people there. I'm not one who usually likes pizza crust but Slackwater has the BEST pizza dough ever. I love the ambiance of the place and can't wait until the outdoor seating opens. It's very much millennial and the dark lighting with lots of greenery has such a fun vibe. It's a little noisy inside but such a fun environment and the food is amazing.
