It is always great. Tikkachu pizza, grape and gorgeous and ricotta cheese bread , yum!

Holy dang this place is delicious. We had the Grape Gorg and I have never hoovered a pizza so fast. I will be back again, no doubt! Disclaimer: I t's loud and dark inside, so don't anticipate spending an entire evening here. (Unless you're into that) read more

Subpar food but the staff was hardworking and nice. The food took forever to come. I couldn't remember a single thing here which I was impressed by. They have a couple of fire pits outside which we chilled by. It's extremely loud inside. The couple of different beers we tried were also pretty bad. I don't think I would be going back here again. read more

Beer selection is amazing and the pizzas are even better. Here's to hoping they make the Al Pastor pizza a regular menu item because OH MY GOD . I've also tried the Sparta, the Italian Job, and the DP Hot Honey pizzas - All were fantastic. If you like beer and/or pizza and live in Utah, you've found your place read more

First off... Oh my goodness the spinach dip is the best on the planet!! We were able to get veggies w it instead of pitas delicious!! We were able to get right in. Right after we arrived the place filled up. They do offer Yelp waitlist seating. The atmosphere is great. It has a lively vibe. Outside they have fire pits and the woodsy area makes it quaint. Along w the spinach dip had delicious salads and wings. Both are a must. Our waiter was great. They have a great beer and bar list. I've never had a bad meal or experience. I hear the pizza is great as well. This place is a must try. read more

Great food and service. The ambience is nice it was a little loud and hard to talk with those at your table.

Amazing pizza! One of my favorites in Utah! They also have one of the biggest selection of beer and spirits. If you need somewhere to watch a sports event or just to hang out and grub this is the spot. I love getting their hot honey pizza and the cheesy bread! Service is always great when I go but it can get pretty busy. They have outdoor seats too and is pet friendly. I'll definitely be back. read more

The food was absolutely amazing, everything was fresh and delicious. The Hot honey pepperoni pizza was to die for !! Other delicious items we had were the chicken wings plain, heavenly hummus, cheese sticks and the promotional Apple cinnamon beignets. INCREDIBLE!!!! Thank you to our server Valentina was also AMAZING !!!!!! read more

We had a great experience at Slackwater! We were seated very quickly. Our server was very kind and prompt. The sangria was delicious! We ordered a carafe to share between two of us, and it was the perfect amount. They have a parking lot right in front, which makes for easy access to the restaurant. They also have ample seating inside. The hot honey pizza was the most delicious pizza from Slackwater I have tried so far! I will definitely be ordering it again next time. read more

Great live music that wasn't too loud. We could still hear each other and have a good conversation. Food was great with many different options for pizza. Loved how you can make any of the pizza options into calzones. read more

When my family wants pizza at a sit down restaurant, we go to Slackwater. The food is consistently great and the service exceptional. A special thank you to Tony our server tonight for taking great care of me and my family, and the other Tony who opened a table for us on the patio. read more

First time eating at Slackwater. It's very understandable why people are willing to wait to eat there. The food was very good. We ordered three unique pizzas to share and all tasted great. Waiter was terrific. Food came out quick. And we used yelp to get us on the waitlist so we didn't have to wait at the restaurant for long. read more

Loved our experience, loved the food, entertainment our servers were top rate especially this server named Max!

One of my favorite places to eat for lunch or dinner. It's loud inside, and always busy! Do yourself a favor and check-in early on the yelp app. Love the patio area. Overall great food, have tried seven different pizzas and some appetizers and have never been disappointed. read more

One of my favorite spots to grab fire stone pizza. Great selection of drinks and pizza, and a fun ambiance. Only downside is having to have staff carry your drink from the bar to the seats if you start at the bar. read more

Good food. Wait was terrible however. At one point we were 77th on the list. Don't go on the weekend.

Great pizza! We ordered several different ones for the table and enjoyed them all, especially the one with pepperoni and hot honey--yummy!

We try to go to Slackwater regularly because we love the food and the service. Our family favorites are Check Your Garlic Breath and The Tikachu with extra cilantro. It can get very busy, so we join the wait-list on Yelp when we leave the house, and we never wait too long once we arrive. read more

Phenomenal pizza! The crust can make or break a pizza, and at Slackwater, their crust sends their pizza outta this world! I actually was given the wrong pizza accidentally. I was given the Hulk when I ordered the This Is Sparta. The Hulk was absolutely delicious! It had green goddess dressing, grape tomatoes, jalapeños, feta, fresh cilantro and fresh avocado. It was so delicious, I didn't even notice there wasn't any meat on it, it was that good! The Sparta pizza was a salt lover's dream: herbed sausage, kalamata olives, grape tomatoes, artichoke hearts, garlic and feta. It was good but it sure was salty (and that's coming from a salt lover!). I definitely preferred the accident pizza. haha. Our server was also the sweetest. If I could remember her name, I'd ask for her every time. read more

The food at Slackwater was pretty good. You get a lot of food for what you pay for, and the quality is pretty well matched for the price you pay. It isn't the most refined food, but it's good food for somewhere easy-going to chill with friends and /or family. The you'll be stuffed stickers were cheesy and delicious with the marinara sauce. The nachos were good...I wouldn't say mind-blowingly amazing, but they were a good plate of nachos with lots of toppings on it. The gyro pizza was pretty good as well. The servers were very nice. My only note about Slackwater is that the servers' outfits are uncommonly revealing, especially for how young some of the girls were. (One step away from a wardrobe malfunction and nip slip). No big deal, but if you have young children with you or if that would make you uncomfortable, I would either order to-go or go elsewhere. read more

Absolutely fantastic brewery, and the pizzas are unique and delicious! They also have a fun atmosphere and frequently have live performances from local artists. Definitely worth your time and money as it's a great dinning experience! Just be sure to call a head for a reservation, I've never been there without it being packed. read more

(6/24/2023) came for a late dinner on a Saturday night. It seemed bustling. We were surprised at the strip mall location. Service was very friendly and accommodating and on the spot. The seasonal "Jala-berry" (jalapeño and strawberry) Wings were piping hot, crispy and well-dressed with a sweet and savory and slightly warming spiced sauce. Pizza was good, not great, crust a little wan, but very fresh toppings. Great local beer selection and welcoming vibe. read more

Pretty solid pizzas for a decent price. I got the Hot Honey Double Pepperoni, crust isn't too chewy and overall a good pizza

Fantastic place to hang out with friends for beer and pizza. Their pizzas pack a lot of flavor and there is something for everyone, whether you want to keep it simple with a margherita or be more adventurous with the gyro trip. Our favorite is the southern comfort, which is reminiscent of a bbq chicken pizza, but with juicy pulled pork instead and balanced with tart slaw. Prices are reasonable as well and you can easily reserve part of your pizza to take home, especially if you indulge on some appetizers. One thing to note is that it gets pretty loud and rowdy inside, so it's not ideal for families with small children, or you can opt to sit on the outside patio. For larger groups, plan ahead as they do not take reservations, but you can call in advance on the day of visit and they do try to accommodate your party size. read more

Always great food. Always great customer service. When they make mistakes, they always happily fix it without question. Been here with large groups, kids, and for date night. The service is consistently good. read more

Absolutely fantastic food and great service. You seriously can't go wrong with the menu here. There are a million craft beers from nitro ale (yeah, that's a thing) to stout beers to try, which you should do. Today, if possible. Here's more: The wait time for us on Saturday for lunch was 5 minutes. Maybe we had lucky timing, but it rocked and there's no complaints from us. This is a very hipster place - nearly everyone I saw had some kind of ink, which is my crowd, and maybe yours too. The noise level was really high so FYI if you want to bring anyone with (or you have) sensory sensitivities (my son is this way. We bring a headset for sound dampening in these cases) so just be aware if this is a concern. There are two places for outdoor seating: the side facing the street and parking lot, and around the other side, near the dry creek which is a woody area. This side feels really different and gives a quieter, more natural setting. Both places are really nice if the weather is being nice. We started with the massive plate of char-tipped roasted pork chili verde nachos, which was amazing. Very flavorful and balanced with a different taste experience in every bite, with no spice/heat (FYI). The chips were crisp and didn't get soft right away, but this dish is so full of ingredients that eventually they benefit from a fork. The amount was utterly huge and easily a meal in itself. This is plenty for a good 4+ people depending on the individual aggression of the partakers. It is totally delicious. My picky son ordered the Picky Pie, which is an anyway-you-want pizza (i.e. ordinary cheese pizza) which went over well and was enjoyed, so while there isn't a kids menu, you have a good option for the unadventurous kids. I got the Tikka Masala pizza and it was smashing. It was comforting and pleasantly warm with all the wonderful spices you hope to experience - cinnamon, cloves, cumin, all the great stuff. It was amazing as a pizza which was a great surprise for me! Plus, the chicken was also spiced and marinated and added a lot to the pizza, not just on there for expectations. I would have loved more chicken on it but it didn't undermine the wonderful pizza. My husband had the meatball sandwich, which he enjoyed. The meatballs are well-seasoned and not overcooked, with a creamy feel. The bread was fresh and not hard at all, like other jaw-breaking sandwiches can be. The ale we tried was the Mother Earth nitro Vanilla Cream which was smooth and mild with subtle flavor. I recommend this one if you are new to beer and ale and would like a pleasant introduction and a lightly sweet profile to add to your new adventures. If you're not a beer/ale person at all but need to take it to save face at the table for some reason, you can get away with this one. We spent about $68 before tip. Go here and enjoy with your hipster buddies. You'll have a good time. read more

Great vibes at slackwater! There were sooo many beer options on the menu. I got the buffalo wings (which were great) and the tastes like burning pizza. The pizza's here are personal sized, and I couldn't finish the entire thing. The tastes like burning wasn't my favorite, but I liked the cardiac arrest (meat lovers) pizza that my friend got more. Tastes like burning was spicier than I expected, and didn't have too much flavor (there wasn't a lot of variety of flavor, it was just spicy). If I come again I would get a different kind of pizza. Our server was super nice, and the restaurant was nicely decorated and modern looking. read more

This is a perfect example of what could have been a poor review yet turned into a great review by a great staff. I don't recall the names of staff, but both bartenders on Saturday night, July 17. Winners. Our entire order failed to make it in the system. but we had our beer, plates and utensils delivered. No one realized the error until we didnt get food for a very long time, after all the more recent patrons got there's. The two bar tenders immediately apologized, got our order in, poured us our next beer and got manager involved. They took charge to ensure we were happy and both were great company until we left. Thank you for owning this error and doing all you could to ensure our satisfaction. read more

Great beer selection mostly bottles, great food choices and the service is friendly. Pizzas are good too.

Always packed, great service and great food. The drink menu is huge! We've been to sandy and downtown and both have never let us down. A local gem with something for everyone. Check-in on Yelp for faster seating! The food is delicious but you are definitely paying for the atmosphere. A limited menu filled with customizable eats and a variety of local brews. Service can go either way it's either totally amazing or completely lacking, you never know what you're going to get which is why I can't give it 5 stars. This isn't the place for a fast meal but it's a great place to get together with friends to catch up. read more

Excellent food and an ever evolving monthly menu that keeps things fresh. Their beer selection is the best in Utah. They're welcoming and chill here and nearly 100% of my interactions with the staff have been supreme. The managers are always on deck circulating and meeting guests and offering friendly greetings to regulars. For a place whose focus is a lot about beer, their food is excellent. So good, in fact, that I always forget to take pictures. I'm here often and I appreciate so much how welcoming and full of light this place has been during the past two years. I've met both managers now and they both set the BEST tone for the restaurant. If there's one thing Gordon Ramsay has shown us, it's that a bad manager kills a restaurant. Well, the opposite seems true as well: both Joey's at Slackwater kill it. They're hands on, present, and attentive. Oh, and when there's no live music, the store playlists rock so well--it's like they read my mind about what kind of tunes to play. ;) I have some favorites among the staff but have yet to experienced a server who didn't work hard to make the time spent here magical and comforting. I can't wait to give this place more of my money! read more

I neglected to get a pic, but when I say we were wildly satisfied with the service, food and ambiance, take it to the bank! Slackwater NEVER disappoints. We had the Diablo Sticks for an app. The spice was intense with those fresh jalapeño slices but we are from New Mexico so we dig the heat! My hubby had the "Inventory Wings" from the specials menu and OH EM GEE! So flavorful! A definite must! I had the Mulagatawny (sp?) Soup. And wowza! So flavorful and comforting! I could eat it by the gallon in any season! Bry (again, sp?) was our server and she was wonderful and attentive. Beer selection is pretty wide and the place is wonderfully designed and welcoming. Will go back again and again. read more
