Slackwater is amazing. I'd highly recommend going in a weekday or getting on the waitlist early on Friday or Saturday nights. It's crazy, crazy busy at those times. The night we went they had live music and the service was excellent. They have an amazing selection of drinks. I wanted to try one of the many ciders available and the waiter pointed me in the right direction. The pizzas were incredible. My wife and I both got different pizzas and they were both amazing. It's obvious why it's so busy on the weekends. I'd highly recommend Slackwater and I'll definitely be back. read more

This is my first time coming here and the food was great. There was a lot of people waiting to get seated, but luckily I joined the waitlist ahead of time and only took a few minutes to get seated. The pizzas and beer was good. It was easy to find this place and plenty of parking spaces. The only complaint i have was that it was dark. The lights were so dimmed, you can hardly see anything. Overall, its a great place to try out. read more

It's amazing food! Love their green goddess dressing and their wings are divine. Also love the selection of drinks!

Tried this spot for the first time after hearing about it for quite a while. Happy to say the pizza lived up to the hype. I went with the Cardiac Arrest and this meat pizza hit the spot. It wasn't overly heavy or greasy like a lot of meat pizzas get it was a great balance. But the best part is the dough... it was probably the best dough I have had. Just be ready that there will almost certainly be a wait. The ambience is pretty nice but it is on the louder side, so don't expect a quiet environment. read more

YES! Eat. Here. This location has a lively atmosphere and is usually busy - for good reason. They've got a huge beer list full of local brews on tap, in the can, and in the bottle. Basically BEER HEAVEN. Bring your friends. This time we got the Char-tipped roasted pork chili verde nachos - now, I'm not a nachos person, I hate the fake cheese and usually avoid them at all costs. But Slackwater nachos are a horse of a different color - no fake cheese, instead you get big chunks of roasted pork, fresh herbs and tomatoes, three cheese, pico de gallo, and chimichurri. Also, it's huge. Enough to be a two person meal. 10/10 recommend. Definitely check this place out! read more

I'm not certain what the hype is about. My friends and family raced about this place. I just thought it was average. You really should make a reservation in advance, which was difficult to do on Yelp, otherwise be prepared to wait A LONG TIME. My friend and I went for dinner. We ended up eating at the bar. Props to the guy at the host stand who told us to run to the bar for two seats. My friend orderd a salad and I ordered the Hot Honey pizza. We also ordered chips and dip. Nothing was amazing, like people rave about. The service was good. The bar keep was good about checking in on us. I'm willing to try Slackwater again but not anytime soon. Hopefully other items will provide the "wow" factor. read more

Solid beer selection, solid menu, solid service. No complaints on my last visit. I will definitely be visiting again.

Slackwater is an all-time favorite in Utah! I think it's the best pizza here! The service is just average and can take a long time when they are busier or understaffed. The atmosphere can be busy and hectic. The pizza is the reason I keep coming back though! They have so many options with specialty pizzas you can't find other places and every single one of them are delicious! read more

First of all, the service was awesome! Very attentive even with us on the patio. We loved the building, decor and the 2 shaded patios. Unfortunately the food was just mediocre. Came here again with a group of friends and it was great! Had a few beers and the Italian Job. Spinach Artichoke dip was to die for! A friend's order got messed up and the staff did everything possible to make it right. The manager offered a salad or a soup while my friend waited for her pizza and I know she really appreciated it. A tip: Sometimes the yelp app doesn't allow reservations during dinner, so try calling to put your name on the list. read more

This is a really good pizza place in Sandy. It offers a huge selection of bottled beers as well as quite a few options on tap. We started with the hummus. The color threw us off, as it was green- but it was delicious. I ordered the southern comfort pizza and it was good, but it did have a lot of flavors going on. The bbq sauce was pretty overpowering for my tastes. My husband got the Italian job, and that was a much better tasting pizza to me. No reservations, but you can get on a wait list. The wait was 60-90 minutes for a Friday night. I thought it was good, but the wait was excessive. They kept parties separate for covid purposes, so that probably caused the long wait. I would come back, but would probably get takeout next time. read more

We like coming here for date night. The food and service is great! Couldn't recommend here more if you are in the area

Honestly our favorite go to place for pizza and beer. Wait can be a long wait especially on weekends so be prepared lol if you're 21+ you can sit at the bar and usually it's quicker that way. So many beers to choose from and I love how they have monthly specials with diff drink, pizzas and appetizers to change it up. read more

A lot of places make good pizza but Slackwater makes truly great pizza. The make it delicious from the crust up. I'm not crazy about a lot of pizza crusts but I could eat the crust here all day every day. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I also loved the live music in the corner. All over, it was a fun atmosphere. Just make sure to get on the waiting list before you go or else you could be waiting upwards of an hour. read more

Ever since I first went to Slackwater, I've been OBSESSED! Love their wings and the California Pizza

Honestly I was a little skeptical when I read through the menu and saw the pizzas but my coworkers insisted that I (as a pizza lover) would be in heaven. So my husband and I did pickup one night and holy ravioli. This place was amazing!! The flavors in my pizza were divine and my husband loved his sandwich and chips! We will 100% be returning again because now I want to try their entire menu!! Don't let the different options scare you! Be adventurous and try it!! Honestly I was in heaven!! read more

Very good food. The pizza was quite tasty and the & beverage selection excellent. Given how busy it was the service was quite acceptable. However if you're looking for quiet ambience and easy conversation it may not be the place. Nonetheless I would go again albeit maybe a week day rather than a weekend. The place was quite busy so I suggest making a reservation to reduce wait times. read more

This place is busy but not overwhelming so. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to accommodate guests. The California Goddess pizza is phenomenal! The beer menu is extensive and has some great options. I recommend checking out/using the Untapped App to narrow down some choices. Wow... the overall vibe at this restaurant is great! Warm, knowledgeable, friendly servers/bartenders make the experience all the more better! But when you get down to the food....So Delicious Had the "CHECK YOUR GARLIC BREATH" appetizer and classic pepperoni pizza with mushrooms and onions added on, Amazingly Good! Hands down some of the best pizza I've had. The restaurant is huge and the atmosphere is very lively, my friend and I were seated on the patio and our server was very attentive and more than willing to give recommendations! The pizza had an excellently cooked crust, crispy with a slight hint of that pillowy-goodness that held up extremely well to the generous amount of sauce. I'm a sauce girlie and I wish I had asked for a side of the masala sauce to dip each slice in.. yeah, it's that good. I also really enjoyed the texture from the fluffy rice! The nachos were piping hot with fresh chips, and the creamy sauce drizzled on top really took the flavors of the meat and cheese to another level. We also ordered the mimosa bucket, which comes with an entire bottle of cooks champagne, and a jug of orange juice. Super good deal, I think the price was between $20-$23. read more

When I lived further north, I often visited their Ogden location, and was sad to have it so far away after I moved. When they put this location in, I was stoked! But somehow it took me quite a long time before I managed to find an opportunity to eat here. Definitely every bit as good as their Ogden location. Even though they were super busy, the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely amazing. This is the place to go locally for a great gastropub atmosphere. It's really difficult for me to choose one thing that really stands out on their menu... truly all the things I've eaten here have been good. April has some very good seasonal specialties at Slackwater that go well with their traditional fare -- Indian-inspired dishes were tasty for tasting on my visit. I was lucky to get an outside patio table on a gorgeous Easter Sunday. I had no wait at all. I started with the spicy vindaloo chicken wings, which were nearly a dozen but kind of small. They were topped with corn nibbles, a few garbanzos and covered in delicious vindaloo, a reddish spicy sauce that leaves a tingle but does not burn. It was a great way to get the taste buds fired up early on. Accompanying that was a bowl of mulligatawny, an Indian soup with a mellow but rich flavor that works well with the vindaloo. I would hope the restaurant one day offers mulligatawny with vindaloo spices in it for a slightly spicy version. I got the bowl and it was enough for two people. It came out hot and soon after we ordered it. My daughter and I shared a pizza for the entree. We chose the 6-slice grape/Gorgonzola/bacon/three cheese pizza with a balsamic reduction -- absolutely delicious! The size is smaller than you would get at a cheap delivery chain but the flavor and ingredients are much better. The crust is thing on the bottom and puffy on the edges due to the dough but it is not a thick crust pizza (thank goodness). A nice touch is serving the pizza in a plastic dish that is not hot to the touch and has raised bottoms to enable the pizza to not stick and to be adequately cooled. To drink I had the Kickin' It With Slackwater sangria, which had citrus and mango in a blush wine. Very light and refreshing! Slackwater delivered fresh and tantalizing varieties of dishes that paired with their drink offerings well. The service was prompt and pleasant, the order accurate and quick. Cool decor and a beer menu that reads more like an exhaustive listing of the Worldwide Beer Encyclopedia. This is a great place to hang out, socialize and if you're lucky, get a table outside to enjoy the breeze and trees. read more
