Really satisfied with my dental experience here so far. It's a spacious office right in the middle of downtown. If you're worried about parking, they offer parking validation in the garage with an elevator that leads directly up to the office. The interior itself is bright with plenty of natural light coming through the windows that offer a neat view of the surrounding skyscrapers. The staff are all very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They really take the time to explain what they're seeing before providing a detailed treatment plan with transparent and reasonable pricing. What a great experience, by far the best dentist I have been to since arriving in Charlotte. Easy experience checking in and verifying insurance, and the staff was friendly even though is was 7:30am right after a holiday weekend! My hygienist Bailey is top notch. She was friendly and welcoming, but not in an overbearing sort of way. She also did not ask me a bunch of conversational questions during the cleaning, which I enjoy as it's so hard to talk with tools in your mouth! She was also gentle during the cleaning, unlike some other experiences which feel like someone just jabbing at your gums, Bailey was efficient and able to scrape tartar without inflicting maximum pain. The dentist herself was also friendly, and welcomed me as a new patient before checking over my teeth. They also did not seem to to be so focused on the upsell for things like whitening, Botox/filler, or even Invisalign like previous offices I have been to in Charlotte, which was a nice respite I appreciated. They do sell electric toothbrushes and heads, which if you have an HSA, allows you to submit for reimbursement. All in all a superb experience, and the views of uptown aren't bad either. read more

So glad I went to Skyview dentistry! I have been trying to find a new dentist for a while and am always very nervous about dental work. Dr Byrd was awesome and so was my hygienist, Nicole. She was so friendly and made the process so easy and QUICK. Quick but thorough. I was weary of parking because it's in the epicenter, but it was very easy. I parked in the deck below and they validate the parking. Quick ride up the elevator to the 4th floor of the epicenter and it puts you right at their door. Office was very clean and nice. I couldn't imagine this dentist office getting nothing less than 5 stars . They definitely won my vote . The receptionist here managed to squeeze me in last minute although I was a new customer . When I arrived they immediately called me back & took my x rays to begin the cleaning for my teeth ,which was the reason I was there . I don't recall the dental assistants name but she was super friendly and I swore I told her my life story while In the chair but I'm sure they are used to being a lending ear and or shoulder from time to time lol . After my cleaning was complete the dentist came in and she finalized everything. Dr.Seti,was just as personable as the dental assistant as well . They made me feel very at home here and took great care of my teeth . I'm very particular about where I go to let anyone do anything to my teeth, for I take very good care of them . Ok, so the Epicenter is getting a facelift which is long overdue. It's can make getting to Skyview a little bit of an adventure, but worth the journey. The office staff are so kind and prompt. They take their time with each person to explain the details of the care plans and cost for service so there are no surprises. The waiting room area is clean and new-ish. Perhaps the furniture could use a facelift along with the epicenter, but that the only critical thing I could mention about Skyview. They have an office of professional who really work hard to make your experience painless and enjoyable as it could be. I've been very impressed with their patience and ability to personally connect with each patient. I love their recycled plastic bottle dental floss product they line carry; sold for 10 dollars per roll if you're interested. They also have a TV at each dental chair and headphones if you just want to tune out the experience and get lost in quality programming. I'm sure you will enjoy this team as much as I have; and I'm not an easy sell when it comes to dentists. Don't take my word for it, check them out. read more

I use Skyview for regular dental appointments and check ups but they have also help me with my Invisalign for the past 9 months. I am so thankful to be a patient here as they are thorough in any service you receive, kind, explain all treatment options and really care about your satisfaction of the final results. They keep cosmetic in mind but make sure everything is healthy which is so important. They validate your parking which is a huge plus. I no longer live in the area but still drive the 40 mins to see them bc they are that good and worth it! read more

This place is an actual scam. I went for my first appointment and had my old dentist send x-rays from last year. Skyview wanted new X-rays, not a fan but okay I get it, but they refuse to work with my medical insurance so they want me to pay $600 for x-rays up front and hope to get reimbursed by my insurance later. I asked if we could do the first appointment without the x-rays and they refused to take me without new x-rays. Then they said the only other option is to pay for their dental plan which comes out to $750 for the first year which covers 2 appointments and the X-rays. So either I can pay $375 an appointment this year because you refuse to use my X-rays from last year, or hope my insurance reimburses me $600 for new X-rays. No thank you, please tell new customers up front next time so I don't drive all the way down there to find out you don't work with insurance directly like 90% of other dentistry's. read more

I am a new patient of Skyview Dentistry as of last week, and they've made such a good impression already! All the staff are very kind, helpful and service is quick- I've never had a cavity filled so quickly and efficiently ! All the things I love about this practice is that parking is easy if you drive- park in the epicentre parking garage and they validate your ticket at the end of your appointment, so no parking fee ! You also get a beautiful view of uptown while getting dental work done. This practice is very aesthetically pleasing, modern and clean! The only minor thing I wasn't a fan of, was being told I'd be seen by one dentist, then it would be another when I go in. But all of them are great (including Dr. Byrd!) so I cannot complain. They were very safe and timely. The entire office was very clean. Audrey was my hygienist, and she was amazing. Very friendly and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I even got to watch Netflix during my cleaning!! Dr. Patel was excellent, she was very polite and even though she said I needed to floss more, she was awesome. I remember when I first walked in three years ago feeling as if I was in some kind of upscale, dental boutique far out of my educator budget. Thank God for insurance! Lol...what I mean is, this place is immaculate. The quaint waiting area is super posh, with complimentary coffee, water, and a view of the Epicenter. My son and I have never had an unpleasant visit. The dental hygienists are all so sweet, so if I am unable to get the same one each time, I'm not mad. They are all very professional. Although I'd prefer to see the same dentist each time, I don't. I hate going to the dentist. Skyview dentistry somehow made it an enjoyable experience. Audrey was amazing. She made me feel so comfortable the whole time. She was great at explaining what she was going to do and warning me if it might hurt (which it never did!). Dr. Byrd was very nice and thorough. I did end up having one cavity. They fit me in for a filling the next week. They even had an opening the next day if I wanted. They were very clear about costs and my insurance made it all very reasonable. I had all my xrays, my cleaning, my check in with the dentist and future scheduling done in under an hour. Only complaint was that the waiting room smelled strongly of hairspray. So efficient and tech savvy! I even got a massage and watched an episode of Atypical while having my teeth cleaned.

This dentist office is nice, the aesthetic appeal is very contemporary. However, felt like I was in a factory atmosphere. The parking was absolutely disastrous and difficult for large SUVs . It also isn't the best atmosphere for young children . There was nothing for my 3year old to touch or do in the very small waiting area with white furniture. We went out to the building lobby to wait due to the stark quietness of other customers starring at us like a toddler was a new invention. We were in and out quickly, which I liked, but we have not had any follow up calls or emails since our first visit , not a great start. The staff were very friendly, however I felt rushed. There wasn't an inviting feeling with my 3yr old I wasn't even consulted on what my 17year old had done. I think the reliance on TVs took away the human interaction, but it got him to focus on Disney so job done . I most likely will come back to see if the second visit sparks more aftercare and customer service . I'm hoping so because I'm tired of trying to find the right office with balance for families. I originally scheduled with Dr. Seti Byrd, but met with Dr. D'Silva. I went in due to tooth sensitivity/pain. Luckily I have no cavity and Dr. D'Silva recommended sensodyne. However, she didn't offer any knowledge regarding potential causes/triggers for my tooth pain/sensitivity to use going forward. Her overall demeanor was unenthused and slightly off putting. When I mentioned an interest in veneers and teeth whitening, she recommended I try braces or Invisalign first to assist with the alignment which is understandable. I told her I preferred Invisalign. I find it odd she gave me a referral for an orthodontist practice when Skyview offers Invisalign services and she provided no information regarding Skyviews teeth whitening services. She also gave me a separate referral to Southpark Oral Surgery for wisdom tooth extraction which is odd because Skyview offers extraction services. A very strange experience to say the least. However, Alexis and front desk staff were very personable and informative. I had an upcoming cleaning scheduled, but decided to cancel and start fresh with a totally new practice. read more

I have mixed feelings on this dentist. I've been twice and each experience was super different. To preface I had the same hygienist both times but different doctors. My first experience I got X-rays done, I was able to choose the flavor of the cleaning stuff they use, I had no cavities so I walked away with whitening solution and trays, the staff was friendly and talkative, they checked my gums using that number system, the dentist (Dr Sylva) spent 5 min or so with me, I got to choose my toothbrush color, got floss picks for my retainer, and I walked away thinking this is the best dentist ever. I also spent about an hour there including the X-rays which felt like a perfect amount of time and they asked if I wanted any of their complimentary comfort products before the treatment started while walking me through each one (ie blanket, sunglasses, massager, Netflix, etc.) The second time I went I did not get X-rays (this is because it was a 6 month follow up not a year), i was not asked if I wanted complimentary comfort products, I was not able to pick the flavor and got some gross cherry like flavor (when I'd prefer mint), I still had no cavities but did not get any whitening stuff, staff barely said anything to me, my gums did not get checked, I did not get to choose my toothbrush and was gender stereotyped because she had purple picked out in me bag before I arrived, I did not get floss picks for my retainer despite her having a hard time flossing my teeth, and the dentist (Dr. Lee) was in and out in like 30 seconds. I think my chair spent more time going down to the laying position then looking at my actual teeth. I'm not sure how you can tell if someone has cavities or not just by looking, my old dentist would take time and push on each tooth to check for cavities as well as looking. My appointment also lasted all of 15 minutes which just felt way to short. I don't know much about dentistry so maybe the education changed since then and/or I am misinformed, but I received two night and day experiences which really has me questioning the consistency of this practice. I will say it is nice that you can book appointments online and they give plenty of reminders so you don't miss your appointment. The staff is usually pretty friendly. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and go for a 3rd time before making a final decision and updating this review with my overall review at that time. read more

Staff is completely protected, your temperature is checked, a form you fill out ahead of time, and there was no contact with other patients in the office.
