I filed a formal complaint and was gaslit by their manager who told me all treatment plans are different due to different training and experience. After she cleaned my teeth with the scaling tools she power-washed & flossed my teeth. No more rubber cup filled with gritty paste or weird & awkward flossing with someone else trying to get their hands in my mouth! The power-wash is a mixture of water & baking soda, so you get that salty taste. It was a little splatter-y, so I wouldn't go in a silk blouse or anything like that, but they did cover my eyes with a tissue, so at the end of it all, it was pretty good & my teeth felt clean. I'm still trying to decide if I like the gritty paste & floss better, though. I think I felt my mouth was cleaner that way. Maybe they could flavor the baking soda mixture with peppermint? Maybe it's all about being easier for the hygienist, though, so I guess I'm probably going to be in the minority on that score. They still want me to stop eating popcorn & that's not going to happen. If we can send a man to the moon, you should be able to shore up my enamel so I can eat popcorn! (Again, I'm in the minority, I'm sure.)
