We had dinner here with a large group as part of our trip to Niagara Falls. The service for the amount of people in our group (50) was extremely efficient and fast. We had preordered everything but our drinks. We mostly all got cocktails and they came out with relative quick timing. The servers were attentive and listened to our requests for how we wanted our steaks or prime rib cooked. The sides were pretty good and included sautéed carrot purée and we also started with a small salad and fresh bread and butter. We had plenty of butter to share. Only complaint was the salad dressing was a little too light on the salad. Could have used more. Overall we had a really nice experience here. You can't beat the view of the falls and the revolving floor. Side note: It's a bit inconvenient to use the restroom here as the elevators take a while. Wow. That's all I can say. We had an amazing experience at Skylon Tower for dinner! Our servers were incredible! They answered questions not only about food but about tourism, peak seasons, and anything else we could think of while we were up there. The food was phenomenal and the Early Bird Dinner was a hit! We ordered the Prime Rib and the Cordon Blue, both were fabulous and our plates were practically cleaned when they cleared our table. In addition, we opted to upgrade our desserts to other desserts available on the menu. The view was phenomenal! I am scared of heights but it wasn't terrible, the elevator ride was tough but you're able to face the other way. With dinner we also were able to go up to observation deck, since it was early March it was absolutely freezing and windy due to weather on the other side of the falls. In the warmer months I'm sure it would be phenomenal to take a walk around the outside to look. There is the option to stay indoors as it's enclosed in glass when you first get off the elevator, there's also a gift shop at the top. The overall experience was great. VERY touristy! Didn't expect the souvenir shops and pictures at every turn, but this place definitely figured out ways to maximize the opportunity to extract dollars from you. It was a very fun, romantic, dining experience though. The views were spectacular. There was even a firework show at 8pm. We were only able to see a corner of it though as it started on the other end of our rotating dining room. Service was good. We left a 20% tip on a $200 bill for both of our waitresses. Food was really good. I had the Salmon and asked that it be prepared Cajun and they were able to oblige. My hubby had the Chilean Sea Bass. The sweet potatoes were light, cooked well but not as smooth as I'd prefer, green beans were crisp and lightly seasoned. The surprise was dessert. We had the apple pie. It was delectable! Enough for us to share and shoveled down in seconds... too quick to even get photos of it. Cons: A tourist fee (which we had them remove from the bill), bathroom located one floor up from the restaurant. They charge for you to park. They charge for photos (obviously), but left a bad taste in my mouth with all the nickle and diming of frames and each photo. OMG! My experience at the Skylon Revolving Restaurant was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. The service was great, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the view was simply breathtaking. Being able to enjoy a meal while the restaurant slowly revolves and offers incredible views of Niagara Falls made the experience feel truly special. But the food was the highlight. I ordered the salmon, and it was indescribably delicious. It came with rice, and I did not realize it also included vegetables until the plate arrived. The string beans were good, but the sweet potatoes were absolutely incredible. Everything on the plate was cooked and seasoned so well. It was honestly the best meal I have had in a very long time. My servers (Alex and John) also made the experience even more memorable. Alex asked if I was celebrating a special occasion, and I told him I was celebrating both my birthday and my graduation. He brought out a slice of cheesecake with berries, and it was perfect. Not one berry was tart, and the cheesecake had the perfect consistency. It was such a thoughtful and delicious way to end the meal. After dinner, I went to the observation deck to take more pictures and also purchased the Skylon 3D/4D movie about the Legend of Niagara Falls. Enjoyed this experience. We did the observation tower only with the barrel museum. Restaurant had mixed reviews so we didn't try that yet. I've done things like this before including the bar at the top of the stratosphere and the oue Los Angeles so pretty similar concept as far as the ride and view. We came for the night view to check out the falls illumination and when we got there it appeared they were not lit. We were greeted by the host and promptly seated at a table with amazing views of the American Falls, the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, the Bridal Veil Falls, the Great Gorge, the Niagara Wine Region, and even the skylines of Buffalo and Toronto. We did the three course early dinner that includes baguette and butter, mixed green salad, and chocolate mousse chantilly for dessert. For entrees we had the Roast Prime Rib of Beef au Jus - Prime rib slow roasted cooked perfectly to your liking, paired with a creamy horseradish sauce. Beef Tenderloin Strips Stroganoff - Strips of beef tenderloin sautéed in a cream sauce of mushrooms and white wine on a bed of linguine pasta. Grilled Fresh Salmon Filet - Perfectly season salmon filet topped with a hand-crafted hollandaise sauce. The food was cooked and seasoned well and was a good portion sizes. I was full and had leftovers of my prime rib. I ordered a peach Bellini from the bar which was a tasty frozen cocktail. The reservation also included free admission to the Ride-to-the-Top and both the Indoor and Outdoor Observation We went up to the observation deck to see more views of the falls. Visibility from the Observatory on a clear day is up to 80 miles (125 km). I highly recommend visiting this attraction to experience an enjoyable dining experience along with amazing food. TLDR: Great for the experience, food is mediocre. We made reservations and checked in downstairs before heading towards the elevator, where they offer to take your photo before you head up. Photo is available for purchase downstairs. Elevator attendant was friendly. When we arrived, we were greeted by multiple hosts/servers. We were a group of 6 + 1 baby. A changing station is available but on a different floor so you will have to take the elevator up. They were very accommodating and gave us a large space by the window. The rotating restaurant takes about an hour or so to make a full lap. You get a nice view of the falls and surrounding area. After dinner, you can head up to the observation deck. We went for the Early Dinner Menu ($55) which comes with a salad, main, and a dessert. Of the 5 choices for the main course, two were unavailable. The bread service came first but it was pretty bad. It was cold, hard, and chewy while I was expecting warm, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. However, the salad and main were decent so I'd give that a pass. The dessert (Chocolate Mousse Chantilly) was good but very sweet. I couldn't finish it. Skylon Tower turned out to be one of my favorite experiences in Niagara Falls. At the time of our trip, simply taking the elevator to the top was CAD 19 per person. We did not opt for dining experience. Elevator # 3 (often called 'bug') mounted outside, takes 52 seconds to get to the top. On a clear day, you can see the skylines of Buffalo and Toronto. The tower features an indoor/outdoor observation area and two restaurants. There are some food and shopping options on the first floor. Also, on the basement level, there are some video games and more snack options. Fact: Skylon Tower was designed by the Toronto architectural firm Bregman and Hamann, which was inspired by the Space Needle in Seattle that was constructed for the World's Fair in 1962. read more

If you are looking for a quality steakhouse meal, you will not get that here. The quality of food does not match the price of the food at all. The stuffed mushrooms tasted as if they were previously frozen, Tomahawk Pork Chop was very dry and had minimum chutney. The salmon dish was actually really good along with the veggies and may have been the best dish we ordered. Regarding the service, I am not sure how to rate it. Hmmm. How do you describe a place you have high hopes for but they don't quite live up to your expectations? It wasn't bad, in fact it was pretty good. But we were expecting great and it wasn't quite there. We made reservations and this was our big night out. First thing, when you arrive, be prepared to pay $15 for parking (what's up with having to pay for parking all around Niagara Falls?) We entered, registered, and went up the elevator to get to the restaurant. We were pleasantly greeted, and were seated shortly thereafter. Beautiful place, linen napkins and tablecloths, although a little dated. Waiters and waitresses were dressed up, and we were excited to get the dinner started. The view is gorgeous, but truth be told, the spinning restaurant (1 revolution per hour) was enough to make me feel a little queasy. The waitresses (there were a couple working together) plus the manager were all very attentive. They kept our glasses filled, and the dinners were served in a reasonable amount of time. I had the prime rib, which was good, but not great. Could have used more au jus on the plate and it was missing something in the taste department. But it did come with vegetables, two potatoes and something orange we couldn't identify, but that was okay too. Two of the party had the beef stroganoff; also reported as good, but not great. Each dish provided ample portions. If you haven't been there, I recommend you try it. It's a nice experience and worth the trip. A little on the pricey side, but i didn't flinch as this experience provides memories and a good meal in a nice setting with a beautiful view. read more

I preferred this gift shop to the one at the bottom. They did have an arcade at a lower story from the tower elevators and offer fun group pictures for a charge. The staff were all so friendly along the way. We also had to pay $20 to park here. You can easily walk to all the viewing spots from this location, so it was worth parking here but that is a steep cost as well. We did not eat this time at any of the food services. read more

I went with my dad on a weekday in the late fall, and while we did have reservations, I don't think we needed them at that time. The downstairs arcade area looks so worn down and borderline spooky/haunted from 1987, which gave me the feeling of ick. There were no stores open, which made me feel like back it's heyday, it was probably the spot. Don't let the downstairs area fool you though. The restaurant was everything and then some! The service was great from everyone from the elevator guy to our servers. My food was really good. The only thing I didn't like was that the bread wasn't hot when it came out- it would've been delicious if it was hot & fresh. The other qualm was there were lots of flies in the windows while we rotated around. They should do something to get rid of them, as there were like 2 on each window area, but they didn't bother us or our food. It was also a little warm. I would definitely return again. It was not medium and a bit tough to cut. My gf had the same and hers was also not cooked properly. The sides they offer are bland and flavorless with zero effort in the presentation. We both had the broccoli, which was literally just rinsed off in water, heated and put onto your plate. Same thing with the potatoes. No flavor, no seasoning. Just plain. The saving grace was their renown cheesecake which was delicious and would recommend. All in all it's a good location to take a date or have a special occasion but at the prices I expected a little more from the food. Side note: They take pictures of you before entering restaurant that are for purchase on the way out. Be very careful to what they offer and what they charge you. Even in the evening, the falls are lit up at night and the fireworks view is a very unique experience. The price is considering the view, but it also includes the buffet, which is pretty small. There is some salad, some cold cuts, some pasta dishes, a carving station, a dessert area, and that's pretty much it. Space is at a premium, and more seating is prioritized over food. Coffee was included but not soda which they accept American cash for, which seemed a little odd. For as small as our table was, they were not always that quick to clear the table and it was hard not to bump into the people behind us. The experience of the CN Tower observation deck is way better but at least they say what you are looking at which direction. It feels open with a fence over some of the views which intimidated my wife a lot and she could barely balance. Supposedly the restaurant is a buffet and definitely we could not do that. There is a small souvenir shop upstairs and downstairs and we honestly spent time around them and shopped a bit so my wife wasn't as scared of the open heights. Having been to Niagara Falls for years, we finally decided to try out the Skylon Tower. We made a reservation online for lunch in the revolving 360 dining room. When we arrived, we checked in at the ticket booth and were instructed to line up for the elevators. This was a long wait, on a Saturday for a long weekend. While waiting in line they took our photo which we were given a card if we wanted to check them later for purchasing. When we finally got to the elevator, the ride up allows you to see the falls. A short ride as the elevator has two stops (one for the restaurant and then the observation deck). Since we were dining in, we got complementary access to the observation deck after our lunch. We got our table and were seated immediately - surprisingly the restaurant was not packed. However, there was still a 90 minute seating limit we had to adhere to. We ordered the filet mignon, striploin and seafood medley. The sauce with the filet mignon was delicious! It was the best part of the dish and paired well with the roasted potatoes and broccoli. I also tried a non-alcoholic peach Bellini, which I found way too sweet and syrupy. I think the food we got tasted reasonable but definitely pricey which is what you would expect for a tourist attraction. Service was efficient as well but I feel like we were getting rushed to finish our meal despite that it wasn't very busy. We got our bill while we were enjoying our cappuccino still. The restaurant slowly turns 360 degrees so you can take photos of the falls, Clifton Hill, etc. Anyway, the view at the observation deck was good during a hot sunny day. We got to enjoy the view of the falls in the shade. I still think the best view is on the street since you can get closer and feel the mist. Don't knock it till you try it. Sometimes the touristy looking places have great meals! Took our son here for his birthday and the staff was AMAZING. Very attentive to our needs. Stuffed mushroom app was amazing and great for my wife as it was not loaded with breading. I had the filet and a side lobster tail and both were cooked to perfection. The wine list was great and plenty of mocktails for my son. They brought him an amazing cheesecake for his birthday to cap off the night. And how can you not come just for the view??? read more
