Amazing!!!!! Brisket & Ribs slow smoked for 18 hours! Cooked perfectly! Spot on probably the best BBQ I have had. What a bargain as well, all you can eat!!! I don't think anything compares to this in the area. So so so so many other choices as well. The bartender really pours some great drinks. If you are staying at the hotel next door they even give you a $10 off for 2 coupon but will prorate it to $5 for a single. Now that's honorable. The staff were amazing in every way. We celebrated my niece's birthday here for dinner. The people are very friendly especially, Mary. She served us and she was very accommodating. They had a birthday plate of assorted cakes and ice cream and they sang HB to my niece. It was a fun experience. The place is huge, clean. Friendly atmosphere. Good food. Great attentive staff. We attended the buffet around 430 pm and looked like we were the first. All the food was well presented. Lots of bbq sauce options. Good salad bar. Had a baked potatoe station. However one thing to not is bathroom is in basement so need to go down large set of stairs then down a creepy hallway. Nice to know it is not accessible via wheel chair etc. all in all good experience I believe it was 44$ and we went on a Thursday so included a choice of beer or sangria. Peach sangria was phenomenal. If you are a carnivore, this is a decent place to eat. For $39.99, all you can eat BBQ options include: pork ribs, brisket, pork belly, chicken legs, broasted chicken, chicken fingers, hot dogs, and corticosteroids (as a patty?). Also the types of small sandwiches: pulled pork, Buffalo chicken, and beef burger. I was most pleased with the BBQ pork ribs, boasted chicken, and pulled pork (served with a little coleslaw). The brisket was OK, but tasted slightly of creosote. The pork belly was more than 50% fat, and was just OK. My husband and I had no interest in chorizo, Buffalo chicken, or beef burger. We figured the chicken fingers and hotdogs are meant for children. (When paying $39.99, why eat chicken dinners or hotdogs?) I had a glass of Shiraz (a red wine) that went really well with the BBQ. Kudos for having it on the menu! The sides were OK... makings for a simple salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomato, dressings, etc.) Quite a few vegetable options. A lot of (too many?) potato options. Chili and two soups. Cornbread and other rolls. (When paying $39.99, be careful about how much cheap filter you eat!) Dessert options: apple crumble, vanilla ice cream, pecan pie. (Maybe one more?) We got the apple crumble (good apples, good crumble, too much goop) and vanilla ice cream (smooth, creamy, good flavour). On a quick visit to Canada, I drove by this place and the ALL YOU CAN EAT BBQ sign drew me in...Disney? It has a really nice buffet set up and some excellent selection on items to choose from veggies (cooked or fresh) loved the mashed potatoes and gravy. Build your own salad and more. The service was good and at first it was a little confusing on how to place your order...it seems that everyone's order comes out on the same tray. So when the first tray came out to the table, I assumed it was my order since I had ordered the brisket. Turns out it was not and every tray that is brought out to the table has smaller and smaller portions...not to mention that it seems like they have to walk over the Canadian-US border to get them. I truly don't understand the super long wait in between orders without exaggeration it was an average 15 to 20 minutes in between orders. The restrooms could use a good cleaning and they could add some instructions to the menu. Since the hook is all you can eat and they space out 15-20 minutes every order...they should allow you to order 2-3 orders in advance-after all its slow cooked barbecue and its not like they take this long because they still need to cook anything. I might consider returning here in the future and will show up prepared to get my moneys worth in brisket. Most of the food from the self serve Buffett was either cold, dry, or both. Fried chicken and the chicken tenders were the exceptions and both very good and warm. We thought maybe the food from the kitchen (we ordered ribs and pulled pork) would be hot and fresh. Neither were hot and the ribs seemed a bit dry and old. 3.5 STARS Frontier BBQ & Smokehouse exceeded my expectations (but they were pretty low to begin with). I'm not a fan of AYCE, let alone a BBQ AYCE. I like that you can try a little bit of everything but I always eat uncontrollably and end up feeling like a giant blob. We were a group of 12 and went on a Saturday night. There was a line up but we were seated immediately as we had reservations. The tables are spaced out and there was never really a wait for food despite the restaurant being quite busy. It's a buffet so you can expect a large variety of food. Hot dogs, burger sliders, peameal bacon, bacon-wrapped meatloaf, mashed potatos, chili, fried chicken, and the list goes on. There's also the salad bar with a selection of different salads and a Build Your Own Loaded Potato station with all the toppings you would ever want. They have a small dessert table but I didn't try any of it as it didn't look too appealing to me. I opted for the fruit (available at the salad bar), which were all very sweet. I'm always excited for ribs but these weren't that great and I didn't end up finishing mine. The meat was tough and dry. They also have a lot of simple dishes like sauteed onions, beans, peaches and cream corn, carrots, brussel sprouts etc. which again, are simple but taste great. The beef brisket was AMAZING. If there's one thing you have to try, it's this! I would also recommend the cream of mushroom soup. It was a good meal for sure, but I wouldn't return for the price. My family and I were in town for Niagara Falls and we ran into this place while driving around. The service and waiters/waitresses were very kind, but unfortunately the food was underwhelming. My coworker tried this place last month and told me that he liked it so I decided to try it out for myself. I guess his tastes are different from mine. I thought it was just ok. Nothing spectacular but I guess it's how it is for a all you can eat place. I've been spoiled by having real good bbq in Texas and I compare everything to that. They had a decent selection of meats and non-meats to choose from. Some of the items I tried were the brisket, fried chicken, roast chicken, beef ribs, pork ribs, pulled pork, meatloaf, chilli, beans, mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potato, and veggies. The meat seemed a bit dry and bland except for the brisket which wasn't too bad. I think the key is to ask for a cut from the fatty portion of the brisket. It wasn't too busy for a Saturday night. I'm going to do my utter best to get through this review without salivating but it's a challenge, folks, because even the memory of that beef brisket... but I'm getting ahead of myself! We walked in here really not expecting very much, just a quick dinner really. Our first surprise was the fact that it was AYCE, and boy what a spread they have. It's a carnivore's dream. Meat for days. Even with the idea of trying just a little tiny bit of a lot of things I wasn't able to sample it all. I think everyone will have their favourites with such a large selection, but our group's unanimous pick was the beef brisket. Try it. Experience it. Live your life a little sad forever afterwards that you can't experience it on a daily basis. The pulled pork was also really good. The sausages we all found kind of "meh" and the fried chicken was just okay. The sides on the other hand were pretty uniformly delicious (but to be fair, the combination of butter, cheese, and carbs is hard to mess up). Dessert was limited but what they did have was a fine way to finish off the meal. If you're craving something hearty, delicious, and meaty, all for a pretty reasonable price please go check this place out. The fried chicken was surprisingly good. Full of flavour and not dry. We didn't try all the meat items. I found during a travel my appetite was very limited. However, I had a lot salad. They had a decent variety of foods, many different meats to choose from including, pulled pork, fried chicken, BBQ chicken, bacon wrapped meatloaf, brisket, smoked pea meal, baby back ribs and chicken tenders. The brisket was very fatty, but everything else was OK at best. My husband really enjoyed the smoked pea meal. They had several sides to choose from as well and they weren't bad. Mashed potatoes, sweet mashed, sweet corn, mac & cheese, peas,onions & mushrooms, sauteed mushrooms & onions, green beans & bacon, home fries, carrots, baked potato bar, salad bar and apple cobbler for dessert. Simply THE worst restaurant experience I can remember. Forget that the 'meats' are actually gross and barely 'smoked', they will add and refuse to remove a $6 'L Fee'. What's an 'L Fee'? I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the food here. Visited on a Saturday night and it wasn't too busy so we got seated right away. There is a lot of meat to choose from: ribs, chicken, bacon wrapped meatloaf, hot dog, pulled pork, beef brisket etc... yumm.. I could not eat enough of the beef brisket I kept going back for more. There was also a good variety of sides like a selection of breads, potatoes, salads, beans, veggies. Notable for me was the sweet potato mash. They have great drink specials like $4 pints everyday and on Saturdays they have $6.50 half pitcher. Pretty good! The dessert selection was pretty slim though. They had an apple crumble that I didn't finish but the coconut rice pudding was alright. The rest of the dessert selection were cakes and pastries like butter tarts and nanaimo bars. I would have liked to see ice cream, especially with the apple crumble. The service was pretty good. The hosts and servers were friendly. I wasn't too pleased about paying for the tourist tax though. I'm an Ontario resident that lives in the GTA. After Googling about the tourist tax it doesn't seem like something that is regulated and no one actually knows where the money is going to. There are news articles of it just being a cash grab so that didn't sit well with me. All in all, it was a good experience. I would return again if I'm in the area. After looking at reviews online I was very sceptical on dining here, keep in mind that American food and Canadian food have aquired taste that are truly different, so It's hard enough as it is to find a restaurant with a somewhat similar, yet unique taste that was very pleasing to myself and my wife.. I must admit that I am not a buffet fan to begin with. This buffet is much better than most however. One thing it lacks is veggies! The salad bar was ok but not overly impressive. The meat was cooked very well and was tender. Some buffet items were not as hot as they should be but that is a drawback you would expect. There is also a "potato bar" where they have different preparations with a good selection of toppings. (There were more toppings available for the potatoes than the salad! Be sure to go to the grill to custom order some ribs, brisket, hot dogs or whatever else they are whipping up for the day. The service was good and the staff was very friendly. My husband and I came to Frontier BBQ and Smokehouse tonight for my birthday dinner and boy did it live up to the hype! We arrived around 615 and were seated immediately. They have patio seating (with live music) and lots of indoor seating. We sat indoors and our server came over promptly to explain how it works and take a drink order. Basically, it's a huge buffet, with a cold section (Caesar and garden salad, macaroni salad, potato salad), buns and rolls (including slider buns so you can make a brisket or pulled pork sandwich, cornbread muffins, tea biscuits), a bbq section where you get all your meats (smoked brisket, ribs, smoked peameal, smoked bacon wrapped meatloaf) a hot section (with mac and cheese, veggies, bbq chicken) and the potato bar (with mashed potatoes, both regular and sweet, tater tots, the baked potato bar with all the toppings you could want) and the dessert bar (only on Fridays and Saturdays). Did I say it's all you can eat for $35 on Fridays and Saturdays and that includes dessert? I had three plates and very little of what I had disappointed. The fried chicken was amazing. My husband is still laughing at me for this comment, but the fried chicken is "chickeny". As in, it's lightly fried to let the meat shine through. It was not greasy, instead it was light and crispy. Perfection. The brisket is smoked for like 16 hours, was delicious and had a wicket fat cap on it, and the smoke ring was to die for. The smoked peameal was okay but I don't really love regular peameal, so take that with a grain of salt. The pulled pork was wicked good, drowning in 40 Creek BBQ sauce, and you can honestly never have too much 40 Creek. The meatloaf was a huge surprise, also had a wicked smoke ring and was delicious. I couldn't say no to the baked potato bar and piled my small potato (I searched for a small one, there aren't many!) with cheese bacon, chives, green onion, sour cream and blue cheese sauce. Oh man that blue cheese sauce blew me away!! I also tried the mac and cheese, very good but basic mac and cheese, the brisket hash (by far the standout of the night, why have I never thought to make hash when I smoke brisket at home?!), the sweet baked beans, tater tots, sweet potato mash, salad, and I had like three cornbread muffins, they were amazing! Since its Saturday, dessert was included so I tried the apple crumble (delicious, my favourite of all the desserts), Nanaimo bars (classic and tasty) and chocolate silk bar (super rich and chocolatey). All in, one of the better meals we've had in Niagara. It wasn't all the best bbq I've ever had (sorry guys, my homemade bacon wrapped smoked brisket is pretty damn good) but it was great! We came in on a Sunday evening and there was a wait, so we opted to sit outside. They had heaters and live music outside, so it was a great experience. I really enjoyed listening to the band while I ate some delicious BBQ. The Actual food options and space inside was smaller then I imagined, but the options they had were pretty delicious and cooked perfectly. I'm actually really baffled by these reviews. I hate to leave bad reviews but their food was absolutely disgusting. I literally had to force myself to eat it just so I could have something in my stomach. Their fried chicken had a bitter taste. The tater tots were hard. The brisket was flavorless and dry. They lacked in service. The only foods I found edible were their southern fried chicken and bbq chicken. If there's one of my biggest pet peeve in a restaurant - it's leaving hungry. For a BBQ buffet it wasn't too bad. The meats were quite good with the smoked brisket and BBQ chicken being my favorite. The sides however weren't the best. Mashed potatoes were cold, Mac and cheese nothing special, and the roasted potatoes being dry. The salad selection was quite small but the Greek salad was fairly good. The deserts were like you might get in a Chinese buffet, quite sub standard. Oh and the cornbread was dismal for a BBQ place. The only other comment I would make as I was surprised to find an additional 5.99% tax on the bill in additional the HST. So 19% tax overall. I assume the additional tax is a tourism tax like the hotels are putting on as well. As I didn't have the time or inclination to argue the point the gratuity became 9%. Did not have the BBQ buffet, this review is simply about breakfast buffet. Firstly, our waitress was very pleasant, courteous and attentive. Prices for the buffet seemed ok, $9.95 for adults, 4.95 for kids 6-12, free for younger. Drinks ran $2-5 with no free refills outside of coffee and fountain drinks. Food was dreadful. We were there around 8 am and the only thing edible were the croissants and danishes. The bacon was flaccid and dark brown. The sausages seemed like they were steamed and grey and tasteless (no brown marks implying frying of any sort). Breakfast enchilada did seem like it was made within the hour but was bland. Tator tots looked crisp but were rubbery like they were made the night before. The worst were the hash browns which were these really hard small brown rubbery cubes. Eggs were typically of the mushy powdered type you find at most hotel buffets now. All the food must have been cooked hours and hours earlier and left to die on the steam table. Possibly reheated from night before? Sure tasted that way. My wife's mug had a purple lipstick imprint on it and We got it replaced. My wife doesn't wear purple lip stick. Lots of fruit flies around the buffet itself. I love breakfast buffets and after reading the reviews thought we'd try it since it was next door to the Days Inn where we stayed (avoid this place as well). $70+ with tip for 3 kids and 2 adults is too much for garbage food. We have been to smokehouse restaurants before but the meats here were not that good. The brisket had only a slight smoky flavour, was very fatty and the ribs were better but not great. I did enjoy the baked beans though. The deserts were from M&Ms, I'm pretty sure. This meal was not anywhere near the $106 value that it cost us (taxes and tip included).
