We recently took a family trip to Niagara Falls and stopped at Almacs buffet for breakfast. For $12.99, I can't complain! They have a good variety of breakfast foods such as scrambled eggs, omeletes, bacon, sausage, tater totes, pancakes, waffles, toast, French toasts, oatmeal, as well as fruits and some sweet treats. The only complain I have would be the scrambled eggs and waffles. The scrambled eggs were a bit cold and the waffles were quite hard. Other than that, for $12.99, you can't beat an all you can eat breakfast buffet in Niagara. The services was very good with staff being quick and friendly. We will be definitely coming back here next time we are in Niagara Falls.

Finally got to try the dinner buffet. It's better value than breakfast. They get 3.5 stars because no one told me there was food at the BBQ station outside too so I missed it (sausages, burgers & two more things). Don't miss it! It's not gourmet quality but at $25.99 you get more than what you pay for and the cold dishes, 2 soups, cheesecake, rice pudding & plain yogurt with syrup punched above their price class. The ice cream is the same cheap ice cream that low end buffets use but it was kept well, so it had few ice crystals. There's even roast beef (though it's a little tough). The chicken nugget I had was dry but that's kinda on me - what sort of adult eats nuggets at a buffet? But then, I had to write a holistic review after all, and that meant trying everything. Even the pasta in watery tomato sauce where some strands were stuck together (yeah, skip that too). Remember to bring your own water so you don't pay for a bottle. The plates & bowls here aren't the cleanest or driest.

For a buffet that cheap, my brother and I did not have high expectations. We went during breakfast and luckily did not have to wait long for a table (about 10 minutes) and the place was super packed. The breakfast selection was mediocre, we were expecting them to offer more choices. I knew that they charged for water and did not want to pay for it so we brought our water bottles there. The waitress saw us drinking it and said that was not allowed and told us to put it away. It's weird that they don't give water for free and expect people to pay $3-4 for a bottle of water. The food was okay, there were some that I took from the buffet table to my seat and it was cold already. My brother was not a fan of the food unfortunately. I'd say this place is worth if you just want to fill up your belly for cheap.

Food was not good, they charge for bottled water and even the beer I received was flat along with my husbands soft drink. Do not recommend.

Not bad for the price. I'm not sure why the bad reviews. The pancakes and French toast was hot and fresh. Bacon was good.

The serving area, the tables, and even the bathrooms are pristine. The food quality and variety is great. They offer all the normal stuff you see at a Chinese buffet plus extras like Maple flavored meatballs and wings. The sushi section is a little smaller than others but gets the job done. The desert section is incredible and you will want seconds. Try the maple ice cream! We went here twice in the short week we were in town, and I were a local this spot would be on my regular rotation for sure.

Was provided a hot lemon infused cloth to clean up prior to going up to the stations to eat. Cup never emptied without an ask for refill. Very attentive the entire time. We were sat in the 'C' dining area area. There were room upon room so there's plenty of seating. Each room with a slightly different theme. Ours had a wall of beautiful fish tanks. The dining area, food stations and bathrooms were all very clean, which is so important at a buffet. They even have gloves at the end of each station in case you didn't want to touch the serving utensils with your bare hands. The variety of food goes from everything you can imagine at a Chinese buffet like sushi and fried rice to American options like burgers and fries, to surprises in-between like New England clam chowder and prime rib. Tons of dessert- hard ice cream, cakes, pies, fruit, jello, even Crème brûlée and waffles. One of my favorite surprises was the variety of mocktails. Most places offer me pop as a mocktail or a Shirley Temple at best. Decent pricing. Father's Day special dinner menu was $50/pp (Canadian) about $36/pp (American) which is pretty great for all you get and that's WITH their high tax. I believe the refular pricing is about $10/pp less. A must try only 30 minutes from Western NY.

We had the 5PM menu which included bread & butter, a salad, one of 5 or 6 entrees, and a chocolate mouse on chocolate Oreo base. I had the chicken cordon bleu. Husband had the roast beef. While we waited for each course, the restaurant revolved, giving us views of the three waterfalls and Niagara. On the non- moving ledge were facts about the falls and the city inside plexiglass. I enjoyed reading about the daredevils who went over the falls and the history of the city. Megan and Mary were a fantastic service team. They kept our water glasses full, took away plates as we finished each course - salad, the main course and dessert - and even took our photo. Everything was delicious! When I mentioned it was my birthday, they insisted I take home a birthday cake. They also asked Douglas, the piano man, to play the HAPPY BIRTHDAY song for me. When we got on the elevator for the top of the Skylon, we got off to a view that was breathtaking. I thought the view of Niagara Falls was the perfect end to our perfect dining experience - until we got back to the hotel. At the hotel I opened my birthday cake. It was a cheesecake with whipped cream, blueberries and strawberries. I had to try a bite. IT WAS THE BEST CHEESECAKE I'VE EVER HAD!! And I've had them all in my 55 years of cheesecake buying, trying and making them from scratch. I stuffed myself eating it. It was SO good. We're not sure when we'll be back. This was a bucket list item for me, and I loved every minute of it. But when we do come back, we're eating at the Skylon AND I'm having the cheesecake FIRST! After all, life is short. Eat dessert first.

The elevator is quick, and I would recommend elevator 3 to see the view of Niagara Falls Restaurant: seating is more comfortable for a party of 4. There very few tables that can accommodate 5-6 adults. We had a booth for 5 and my knees were ready to leave after nearly 2 hours of dining. Food: it was okay for the price. The 8 oz. filet was cooked as I requested and the veggies were fine. Salmon was undercooked as my fellow diner prefers a more fully cooked through filet. Caesar salad lacked flavor as the dressing was bland. Meatballs were dry. Skip the desserts, they're nothing special. If you've had Michelin meals, this is a pretty dinner for mediocre food. Note: there is a MINIMUM $52 CAD per person and each diner is REQUIRED to purchase an entree OR 3 salad/soup/appetizer combo. Views: we had a 6:30 seating and the falls are as beautiful as one might expect. The rotation is slow enough not to feel it, but after dining for nearly 2 hours we made 1.5 roations. Service: the waitstaff were friendly, prompt, and helpful with local tips for places to see and do.

We tried several of the sides and especially liked the beef carpaccio, the chicken croquettes and the grilled mushroom. We got to try pretty much all the meats on the menu and while they were all good, we really liked the cheese stuffed prime rib, the Hawaiian strip loin and the bacon wrapped filet mignon. Our server, Ashley, was very friendly, helpful and attentive. She repeatedly apologized when there was a lull in meat coming by, though she doesn't really have any influence over how fast things come out, aside from telling the meat-servers what we wanted. We didn't really mind, because it gave us some time to talk and digest before getting more meat. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely come back when we're back in the area.

Firstly, parking: It's all free, but the lot adjacent to the restaurant has 20 spaces for a business that seats 200 people. Arriving cars are to wait at the curb outside for the white shuttle to arrive, then follow this to a free parking place two blocks away. Reverse the process to leave. It's difficult to enter and exit a high van in a tight skirt and high heels. Just saying. We arrived just in time to see the 8pm floor show, but the music was so loud I was praying for it to end. To order from the menu for AYCE side dishes, you have to have a phone that can scan the QR code: No printed menu was forthcoming, and the print on my cell phone was too small for my husband to read. The music was so loud it made conversation impossible, so I made the choices. The kitchen had already run out of mashed potatoes, and green chimichurri sauce by 8pm, and they seat until 11pm on Saturdays. I was not impressed. There's a chaotic way the servers with the meats circulated. Some tables were served steak three times while we were never served. It's a $90 per person meal where drinks and desserts are extra, our table wobbled horribly, and we couldn't speak to each other. It was the opposite of hospitality. How loud was the music? I'm writing this the next morning and my ears are still ringing. There are many other steakhouses on this side of town: Brasa, Ruth Chris, STK. Next time, I'll try one of them.
