As far as comedy clubs go, I've been to a few in different big cities and this definitely ranks among the best! I loved the atmosphere and the skyline of Appleton. It's also in a super cool older building which gives it a character unlike any other club. We showed up right on time and got our seats super fast. The staff is crazy speedy. Like I've never been snuck up on by waiting staff and they about scared the crap out of me by how fast and sneaky they are! We got brandy old fashions as true wisconsinites do and they were delicious. Comedy act was hilarious and loved the opener as well. Only thing I can possibly say somewhat negatively, which this isn't negative at all, but the two drink minimum had me stressed out to drink between vociferously laughing. I chugged those old fashions between bits but it was still great! And not that expensive given the venue. Very cool place and would definitely come back.

Great venue, location is nice and the Stone Arch Pub that it shares a building with is a great spot to eat and hang out before or after. Staff was great and obviously they get good comedians to come out. I had a great experience and absolutely plan on coming back.

The homemade root beer in the basement is also served here- and it's great and unique enough you shpuld order it in both pmaces, then buy a 6 pack and bring it home with you! Yeah I know. Root beer sucks. It's WAY too cloyingly sweet, too heavy, too fakely food colored dark. Might as well swig down pancake syrup right out of the bottle. This stuff is so amazingly different, it's possible to still despise root beer with a fiery passion, as I do; but be wholly addicted to this stuff, which I am. Wow! How do they pull it off, and how long till they mass produce it and sell it in stores I shop at?? Absolutely go to this comedy club, enjoy a really fun time- and drink the root beer- no kidding!!

This is a pretty great venue for comedy. The comics I saw were hilarious and the layout is nice and cozy. The staff was all warm and welcoming. They do have a stupid 2 drink minimum and they don't list the prices on the menu so it was quite a lot more than I thought I would spend after getting craft cocktails in the bar downstairs for cheaper. I got a soda and I did get a cocktail which total was around $15 or something before tip. Really shouldn't have been more than $10 total in my opinion but I know that is the price you pay to go to comedy shows and its the only place to see it. I will definitely come back to check out more comedy because it is a great venue. I will just make sure that I get the cheapest drinks next time instead. Edit: I have added a star back because Cliff responded to my review and was very professional about it. I might have jumped the gun on balking at the drink prices even if I do think they are pricey the fact that Cliff was willing to respond at all speaks volumes in my book to the kind of establishment they are and that they do care about their patrons.

I came in Friday because a friend had won free tickets and we wanted to go out to celebrate her 2 years cancer free. Waiting to go upstairs was a little confusing but we figured it out. Once inside we were carded and then seated. They have a two drink minimum here. We ordered a drink and I was the DD so I ordered a Madonna Colada (pina colada virgin), then a root beer float and pretzel bites. The first drink was delightful and good. The root beer was a let down it was chunky over frozen ice cream that was not pleasant. I barely finished it. The pretzel bites were okay but I am pretty sure they gave me and my husband a stomach ache later in the evening. That is not why you come here though. You come for the comedy and it was worth coming. I laughed so hard I was crying. I highly recommend stopping in they often manage to bring in really talented people.

The two drink minimum is the worst part about this place, as that can really rack up the night's bill.

Linda goes above and beyond at getting a variety of different models. Some sessions are clothed and some are nude. She even goes as far as setting up backgrounds that fit with the themes of the costumes and poses. We usually start with some short poses and build up to longer poses. The lighting on the figures is great too. From drawing to painting, you can use any medium that you desire. It's not required to show up every week, incase something in life comes up, and you pay per session you attend. You get a stamp card and Linda throws a free session after you attended so many. Linda is open to comments and feedback with the sessions and makes changes based on the artists' needs in the studio. It's also a very casual environment to meet the other artists in this area too. ‍ I'm learning a lot and my art is really growing each week I attend. Drawing from life is very crucial for artistic growth and this is one of the few places in the valley that offers life drawing models at a very reasonable price.

They are a rock band from Appleton, WI and were absolutely amazing. To be clear this isn't the Wedding Singer - These guys are rock stars with the skills to be on tour and play larger venues normally it looks like. We were really lucky to get them! Jason Lambie blew us away with his communication leading up to, and through the event. We wanted live music, but most of the bands around the area sounded terrible on their YouTube clips or played tacky wedding/party songs. The best man in the wedding is a bit of a singer/guitar player and the crowd pushed him onstage without planning and the band just rolled with it and let him play along. I was impressed as Half Empty are real musicians and I thought they'd be offended that he joined them for a song unexpectedly. These guys are pros and real entertainers! My family and guests thought we paid thousands more than we did. They are not a typical wedding band. They are made to play large crowds and are the best musicians I've seen in WI. If you have a chance for a festival, large corporate event sort of thing you need to book these guys. My family and friends DON'T DANCE and these guys had everryone on the floor singing along and dancing before the first song was even over. Even the over 50 crowd. I was stunned watching my older siblings and their kids all jamming together. These guys look and play like rockstars. They probably had $20-30k of guitars on the stage lined up, very cool drum stand and awesome stage set up. No lame sign hanging behind them or anything like that. To have the complete rock star package without the attitude blew us all away. Look no further. Book these guys immediately .and your guests will love you for providing the best cover band they've ever seen. Ever.

A friend told us about this event so we drove the two hours to Appleton on a Friday to check it…read moreout. It is very well organized and has an excellent app to help plan your attack. There are hundreds of of bands over the three days on dozen of stages. It is really mind boggling on what it must take to coordinate the logistics. We wandered around to a few outdoor stages and since it was relatively cool out for early August it was bearable to sit outside in the sun. If you want shade you are out of luck and if it were really hot or rainy well the set-up of most outside stages would be a problem. If you don't want to stand bring your own chairs but again it doesn't solve the issue of no cover at most outdoor stages - a real downside. Just about every music genre is represented so you should find something you like.

Spread out across many, MANY bars, restaurants, coffee shops, parks, and other outdoor spaces in the downtown Appleton area, on or near to College Avenue, concerts from local and up and coming bands playing original music are staged over the course of 3-4 days. Really love and follow a particular band on the lineup? Or perhaps fall madly in love with a new performer or group early in the festival? Good news! They might play again...or several more times! Maybe on the same day...maybe once everyday, probably at a different location. But you won't have to go very far. Entry is free...since the festival "grounds" aren't in an enclosed, stand alone space. The bars don't charge a cover, most don't have a credit card minimum (although...some do, so be aware). I really enjoyed the few artists I was able to see! I only wish I had had more time to enjoy MORE of it! As it stood, I really only had one day free for concert-ing. It was a great time and it was nice to get to experience this established festival.
