Super fun and delicious! This place had such a fun, old classy vibe. Even on a quiet evening we enjoyed our time here. We love lemon drops and these here were some of the best we had. We also took the recommendation of a regular and the Grasshopper literally tasted like mint chocolate chip ice cream-delicious! The gentleman who served us was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. We're not from Wisconsin, but I'd definitely come back here if I ever found myself in the area again!

Always a pleasure visiting Deja Vu! The drink selection is impressive. Love me a Chocolate Covered Cherry Martini and Oatmeal Cookie. We buy a few to try a few! The band is always so entertaining. I have yet to have a bad Bartender. They know what they are doing and enjoying entertaining. Keep up the great work!

Went to the Live-Band Karaoke Night, and had a blast! Bought shots for the band to kuck the party off! Met a lot of fun people, who appreciated our TX accents and singing. Order at the bar for best service, although the waitresses were nice. Full bar. Some of the seats are odd, but it was all fun! Highly recommended!

I love this place and did I mention they have a punchcard system!!! Yes please!! I have tried many martinis here. My favorites Pomegranate, Lavender Lemon Drop, Lemon Drop, Bada Bling. I just try different ones every time I go.

This is a fantastic bar. I came a little before 7PM on a Wednesday which is Funk night. The bartender was quick to let me know that it was still happy hour and I could save some coin if I ordered before 7. I ordered my first martini after reviewing the huge selection they have. Soooo many different martini's to choose from. I selected the Model T for my first one and it was delicious. After 7PM, on Wednesdays they will double stamp your loyalty card. I don't remember the name of the second martini I got but it was also delicious. The staff is fantastic. I was the only one in the bar until a little after 7 and the bartender made small talk. After the bar started got a little more filled I was still checked on regularly. I will definitely start coming here more often. I really want to check out the live band karaoke on Tuesday nights. If you want a great place for martinis this is hands down the best place in the Fox Cities for them. You will not be disappointed.

Stopped in here before dinner and had the watermelon and strawberry martini. The decor in here is like stepping into a speakeasy from yesteryear. It has an amazing lounge atmosphere that most places dont have. They also have a monkey bar upstairs that features tiki drinks, daiquiris and beachy drinks that typically opens at 8pm. There are cozy little private party couch areas in the back that are nice. We will be back later in day. We went too early so there was just us and another couple. Next time!

Déjà vu is a cool, hip martini bar downtown Appleton.  I'm a beer guy but will still indulge myself with a martini or two.  They have a long menu of martinis and cocktails, which can be intimidating but I still tend to find something that I like. There are two bar areas which is good if there's a crowd. Even then, their bartenders are pretty quick when it comes to making drinks.  The hard part is getting their attention. There's plenty of seating throughout the bar. I like sitting in the back-room bar as it's more of low-lit lounge area.   Lately I've been going here not for the drinks, but for the music.  They do a great job of putting on live music. Not just during Mile of Music, throughout the whole year.  Plenty of cover and original local acts and it sounds good in there. Only downside is the space of the whole bar is not ideal for watching music.  If you want to stand in front to watch the band, you can expect to have two rows of people and be ready people walking past you as your in between the two bars.  You're better off plopping a seat by the main bar and hope you can see the band from there. I would like to give it 5 stars, but with the watching music difficulty and $9 martinis, it's a solid 4 for me.

Stumbled across this gem about a year ago for the first time, unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy it as we were just passing through town that day. We were so looking forward to going back and checking out some music and trying some of the vast selection of martinis they have. We finally got to go back, I'm so glad we did. We went during happy hour. Lol! This draft has been sitting here for a while... oops we're baaack! Omg! Love this place, the tiramisu martini is to frigging die for, js. All if the tini's are amazing so are the bartenders. Today we went upstairs to The Monkey Bar...do it!

Downtown Appleton's martini lounge is large and has two bars! As well as a few small rooms tucked off for more of an intimate setting. Live music frequently on a small stage in the middle so you can see it from both bars. The martinis are moderately priced around $9-$12. I never have received one I didn't like! Nice stop for anyone wanting a classy and unique scene.

I have come here 3 times now with three different groups of people on different nights and at different times and this place as consistently WOW'ed me with awesome service(tentative & helpful) and atmosphere(Jazzy). I have to start by pointing out the menu is absolutely fabulous. If I remember right they have easily over 50 Martini recipes. ( If you're a coffee lover I highly recommend the "Americano" & the "Espresso" ) The price was reasonable I would say the average cost for a Martini is between $8-$10. There is always some sort of live music playing and several different options for seating: Couches, tables, bar seating etc). Will continue coming here & recommending to my friends!

And like Ellinor, many may double check their Google maps as they get nearer to the restaurant, wondering if they're in the wrong place. Unlike Ellinor, Marvol lives in a small, obscure corner of Appleton - it's not in an established neighborhood full of progressive diners with progressive views and progressive palates. And I love them for it. Sure, it may have just been a business decision to minimize overhead, but it says something bigger. It's an Appleton restaurant - everyone is welcome. True to the owners' approach to dining, Marvol's seating is more than cosy. It's intimate. You have to be okay with getting close to a stranger for the journey. Marvol's food doesn't disappoint. More important than the storybook plating and the flare, the food screams of excellent sourcing. Marvol's trout belly and roe, Kendall's greens, Wisconsin sweet corn and crab. Every ingredient can stand on its own - but they're so much better together. Whereas Ellinor caters to the many with mainstays and midwestern must-haves (red meat, burger, pizza with pork in it), Marvol feels like a small test kitchen full of new ideas. Some will land, others won't, but it's all part of the experience. It kind of feels like Chef Adam is inviting us into his brainstorm, where he jots down his ideas for the week on a notebook - and that's the menu. Though I had my favorites, I don't think going through them would help you. Because Marvol has probably moved on. All I can say is, you can trust Adam. Note: A huge selling point of Marvol is their drinks. I did not try any, as I don't drink alcohol. There is no official NA cocktail menu.

The painted window saying "Home of the Dirty Snowball" absolutely piqued my interest! LOL! Actually, it was that, plus the two giant nutcracker decorations out front that caught my eye. I'm a fan of (Christmas) holiday decorations, so I wanted to see what else they had, after spying some string lights through the window. Inside, it's like a wonderland of holiday cheer! Lights and ornaments and decorations everywhere! Sitting at the bar under the lights, I really felt like I'd discovered some secret bar under the Christmas tree! The staff were friendly, helpful, and quick with the libations! Kind of that "keep it real" attitude, but not in the rude way... in the honest and up front way! There is no food to speak of, save for a Chex-pub mix blend, but the drinks are why you want to visit! The famous Dirty Snowball is like a shake, but without ice cream, made with cocoa and related liqueur flavors (I can't remember what-all is in it, but it's GOOOOOOOD!). I highly recommend it! I also tried the Cleo's Trio, which is one part Dirty Snowball, one part Brandy Old Fashioned, and one part Suffering Bastard, I think? Not in the same glass! But, more like a flight. You get a little taste of Wisconsin or at least Appleton. Each drink is basically a full version, though, so you might need only one! I don't know what your favorite bar looks like, but if I lived in Appleton, this one would be mine. I would be in there at least once a week, if for no other reason the ambiance and the company. Great people, great drinks, and a legacy for holiday décor that I hope lives on forever!

Not only did it keep us warm, it made our table feel cozy. Despite it being very busy, I'd describe the restaurant as being a great place for a special date. Our waiter for the evening brought great energy. His timing was great and his knowledge of the food served was helpful. Without hesitation he suggested the Napolitana (which was phenomenal).
