Have been to this location twice now, once dining in and once driving through. I can't complain about the dine-in service, except that the server either forgot or hoped we had forgotten that the kids' meal we ordered comes with a dessert. When I reminded her (well after our check had been paid and dishes bussed), she admitted that yes it does come with a dessert and she comped us a higher quality ice cream from the freezer than the one it's supposed to come with. I wasn't upset, just interesting. The drive through, same thing happened. No dessert with either of the two kids' meals we ordered. (They don't need the sugar, so I don't care, but it makes the business look bad/shady.) And they completely forgot to include our order of fries in the bag which was my fault for not checking before driving away. read more

I like this skyline. The food is always fresh and prepared nicely. I usually get one of the wraps and a coney with everything. The wraps are either Greek, buffalo chicken or traditional chicken wrap. The Greek is excellent. It has olives, Greek dressing and plenty of other veggies. The coneys are very good. I do prefer Gold Star when it comes to the chili and coneys but they don't have the wraps at Gold Star. For a good quick lunch I would recommend stopping here. read more

I have to admit, I'm a Gold Star fan. That aside though (sort of), dinner tonight at Skyline just didn't do it for me for a few reasons: First, this Skyline was really dirty looking. Like, somehow there was even chili or some other gunk up at the top of the wall next to our table. It's also really dark and foreboding in here. I think a lot of that has to do with the carpet. Carpet in a restaurant is generally gross anyways, but this carpet is an ugly dark blue with some weird 80's pattern in it. It also seemed really loud and chaotic in there for some reason. Idk. Second, the waitress wasn't very friendly or helpful. We only had one menu to look at and she seemed annoyed when I wasn't ready to order yet because I hadn't got to look at the menu, then also didn't offer to get us another one. I never received a refill on my drink from her, my husband had to get up and go to the soda fountain himself...and no it isn't supposed to be a self-serve. Lastly, I'm just not all that impressed with Skyline's food or menu choices. What's up with not having a good option for vegetarians? Black beans and rice ON TOP OF PASTA is not a good option (what is that, double starch?). Gold star actually has vegetarian chili made with meat substitute, and it's delicious. Aside from that, I think their chili is less flavorful, it tastes watered down. And their buns are dry and flimsy. Two stars for being food I guess? read more

I could live off this stuff everyday for every meal, the 3-way and the 4-way (3-way with unions) are both absolutely delicious, if you haven't had it, don't assume it is spicy! I don't think that it's spicy at all, and I believe I'm a good reference point of what isn't spicy because when I go to buffalo wild wing I get the Honey BBQ, which is called sweet,under mild, and I still thought it was way to spicy! Some people say that the food is alway watery, but little do they know that some people want it that way, but you can always order it "dry" which just means that before they bring it to the table, they tilt the plate and let some of the water run off the side. 3 stars for the service, 2 for the food. The service here was so fantastic! Our server obviously loves his job and loves human beings and I seriously commend him for that. Jobs and humans aren't always the best, and if this guy agreed with that statement, he sure did hide it well. Skyline. Oh, Skyline. I don't really like you that much. I don't have the strong hatred that some people do for the meat soup that they slop here, but it just isn't worth the upset stomach later, if you ask me. Cincinnati is known for Skyline Chili but I was really disappointed not only in the food but also how the restaurant handled our complaint. Our food order wasn't right (items ordered but not given to us in the drive-thru), the food didn't taste good and we found it to be overpriced for what we ordered. When we contacted them, the manager was rude and basically called us liars. Needless to say, we will never eat here again and will certainly never recommend this place to anyone. read more
