Ordered was quick and easy. There were a few guys working in there today and the kitchen is right in front of you as you walk in. This is carry out only BTW. I placed my order and took a seat to wait. Being my first time here I ordered my "go to pizza" which is pepperoni and sausage. I also got a small Caesar salad. The pricing was good. My order came out in a fair amount of time. Now for the food review. The Caesar salad is nothing to write home about. Romaine lettuce with some croutons and Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. The salad dressing was in a packet on the side and wasn't all that great. It's a national brand but I didn't look at the name. The pizza looked good and at first bite I liked it and the pepperoni was crispy like I like it. The Italian sausage had a very good flavor which is probably the best part. The sauce didn't have the zing that I was hoping for. It was more like a sweet tomato sauce. Don't ever go to this place. The manager (Trump would call her Piggy) is very rude and quickly convinced me NOT to get my pizza from here. Though I was told during my order that I could pick up my pizza in 40 minutes, when I arrived at 40 minutes, my pizza hadn't ever been put in the oven! I really wanted to like this place. The menu sounded great. Unfortunately because we don't have a working car we have to get delivery, and because of where we live, only Pizza Chef and LaRosa's will come here, and we don't like LaRosa's. We tried ordering at lunch but they said they were 2 hours behind, so we waited and ordered for dinner around 7:30. They said it would be a little over an hour before we'd get it. It took about an hour 40 to get, but we got it. As soon as I saw the pizza I was a bit disappointed. It was clearly hand made and not frozen dough, which was cool, but it was small. I mentioned to my wife that it looked like it was between a medium and a large. There was a lot of crust around the rim, wasted space. We ordered extra cheese but there was hardly any on it, nor was there enough sauce to taste. We also got cheese sticks and fried mushrooms. Both of those were basic stuff, probably the generic stuff GFS sells, nothing special. They were cold and the cheese sticks hard. Not like overcooked hard, but like cooked not long enough and then cooled. The pizza was cold, dried out, and tough to chew through the crust. It all honestly tasted like it had been made a while before it was delivered and it sat under a heat lamp that barely worked. There's no way our food was made just before it was sent out. I'm seeing a lot of people compare it to Domino's, and there's no way. I like Domino's. This was more of a cheaper Little Caesars, which I also like. Maybe if I ate a pizza fresh it would be a different story, but this wasn't good. Yelp even said this is for people who like Reily Pizza, and there's no comparison, like, at all, other than their geographical locations. And maybe the fact that they both make pizza. Otherwise, if Reily delivered they'd run Pizza Chef out of business. On Google this place is listed as Pizza Chef Gourmet Pizza. I don't know about gourmet, either, but it's cute that they have such high aspirations. My wife ate 1 1/2 slices and said she couldn't do it. I had two slices and couldn't eat anymore. The corners of my mouth were rubbed raw by the crust. Don't get me wrong, it's edible, and I'll finish it, but it's not something I'd want to order again. I don't know how much help they have there, I imagine it could be low because everywhere is now, and I understand that. But I also know the business. I've worked in pizza off and on for 27 years. Even with a small staff, they could make it work. There's no reason why our food should've been that cold and dried out. I also didn't see a delivery bag. I'm not sure if the driver took our food out of it before leaving the car, but if it wasn't in one for the trip, that didn't help things. Our pizza also looked like it was sliced in the dark. None of the slices were close to the same size. Not a big deal, but it was noticeable. The 1 1/2 slices my wife ate were on the small side, so she didn't eat much. The 2 I ate were massive. I will probably order again. I'd like to try their Cincinnati chili. But I won't be getting the cheese sticks, fried mushrooms, or another pizza again. I probably won't deal with any of the appetizers either, if they're all the generic items every food supply chain sells. I see a lot of good reviews here, so I'm hoping this experience wasn't typical. EDIT: The following day I microwaved a couple slices and made them much better. I had originally given PiZza Chef a good review and High m right ark for a good food and friendly service. However, I must update when I receive poor service tonight I ordered an order of fingers and potato skins. And was told it would be 45 minutes to an hour and I said OK thanks for letting me know. An hour and 10 minutes later it was still not here and I called and they said they had just left. Keep in mind. The store is only about two minutes from my driveway so I waited another 15-20 minutes or I should say my husband did on the porch. He called them a second time and said it's been over an hour and a half ago we ordered and it's still not here and ask them to do a credit or partial they said to refuse the food and send it back and of course he didn't want to do that because his wife had been waiting for her dinner for what was an hour and a half. A couple of minutes later the food arrived and was cold. Keep in mind. We're only two minutes from their front door. And the guy answering the phone was rude and told him to bring the food back, but we had no vehicle which is why we ordered it in the first place. When it's your mistake and you don't keep your word about time of delivery. You should be more than happy to credit a good customer and they were rude not the delivery person, but the man answering the phone. So here's your one star review for cold food an hour and a half delivery and rudeness on the phone will be a long time before we order again from you. shame pizza chef! read more

I remember eating here in 2005 when I visited an old gaming buddy. I was in the area for work recently, had to re visit. I immediately asked the employee if they changed the recipe (I sure hoped not!). The pizza was among the best I've ever had in my life. Dough, sauce, cheese all tasted high quality. We have ordered pizza from here and always been happy but last order was horrible 2 topping large and 1 topping medium half of each pizza was crust with no toppings and no sauce I called and complained and they told me they would give me credit for my order. When I called at a later time to order I was told I had a $10 credit off next order not the entire order they told me before which was over $20 I asked to speak to a manager the person I was speaking to said that would be him and he could only give me what was in the books and they had a policy he couldn't change. Guess they're willing to lose a good customer rather than honor what I was told. Make sure you know what you're getting a credit for if you ever are given one. I'll admit, I'm habitual about my order. I love the Carne di Amore pizza, a meatatarian's dream. After the first time we ordered this pizza, I fell in love, not only with the pizza, but also with Pizza Chef. This is now our favorite pizza joint in town (sorry Richard's!). Although it can take a little longer than Pizza Hut or Dominos for your pizza to be ready, we have never been disappointed by the food or by the service. We normally pick up pizza on the way back from the barn, and we have even had the staff ask if they can bring out a treat of pepperoni for our dog. Whether it's a pizza, a hoagy (I recommend the Chicken Bacon Ranch), or just some mozarella sticks or tater skins, it's well worth the visit. Plus, the prices are more than reasonable. read more

We ordered this online ahead of time (an hour early to be exact) and when we arrived, our food wasn't ready. We were told it would be 10 minutes... then 20 minutes pass no food, 30 minutes.. no food. When asking the cashier how much longer it would be, she got defensive and told me that I didn't need to get an attitude. A costumer is entitled to make an enquiry as to how much longer their food would be, considering 30+ minutes had already passed. Needless to say, we did receive our food and the manager was very apologetic which is why i am fixing 3 rather than 2 stars. The Italian spaghetti was very bland and nothing to write home about. We ordered a deluxe type pizza that was decent. I think our favorite items were the chili potato skins-- don't sleep on those! They don't supply you with plates or utensils -- so be prepared if you're taking the food somewhere like we did. Beware of this place..... There is a young male manager with a beard who when messes up an order is extremely rude. When I tried to talk to him about the forgotten delivery items and mess up. He told me he didn't have time for me and hung up the phone. I called back and asked for a manager when he then proceeded to say he was one. That I could not talk to any other managers and again said he didn't have time for me and hung up again. I grabbed my food drove to Pizza Chef on millville and demanded my money back for the rude service. He refused said he wasn't doing anything and called the cops and told them I was trespassing. He kept my food and my money. I then had to call the cops so that I could say my side of the confrontation. And wait over an hour for the situation to be resolved. He is rude, mean, and extremely unprofessional and if he feels like you are complaining about anything he will cut you down. read more

They have terrible customer service! The driver was completely atrocious and rude, which was really awful to do in front of my 8 year old child. I brought out my phone AND my laptop to show the driver that my CC went through and my order was accepted by their system. The driver insinuated that I was trying to scam them and get free pizza. I repeated that I had received an email saying my order and CC had both been accepted. I handed the driver back the pizza and made the trip to the actual location to speak to the owner. They don't understand their own online ordering system works and they print out emails of orders to "run the credit card through". The owner stood and handed me an email with my order on it and said "You only put in the last 4 numbers of your credit card so we couldn't run it through our machine here" and pointed to a POS system for running physical credit cards. I told him that if he had been able to print out my entire CC number from an email about my order, he would really have an issue with online security. He doubled down and told me that all the orders that come through have all the entire CC number listed. BEWARE IF THIS IS TRUE. THEY HAVE COPIES OF YOUR ENTIRE CC NUMBER JUST SITTING AROUND FOR ANYONE TO COPY. I tried to resolve this with the owner by asking why on earth he would make my entire $40 order if I had "not paid for it" and he said that he tried to call me, which was a lie. He called me once I was already pulling into the parking lot. I asked again why he would make the entire order if he could A) not reach me by phone and B) according to him, I had not paid for my order. He didn't have an answer so he called me a liar. This is a great local delivery option for the Hamilton area. We have tried several items on their large menu. The pizza is definitely the best thing on the menu.
