We went tonight because its kids eat free on Wednesdays. We even drove out of our way because my dad was adamant on going to the Finneytown location. The parking lot was pretty full when we got there, I always see that as a GREAT sign. We were greeted by a young girl named Bree, my dad is a regular there, so he stopped and spoke to her. Which is always nice to see. Within a couple of seconds of sitting down, our server was there with a bright friendly smile on her face. Megan was awesome. Even though they were very busy, the service was top notch. The food was amazing. Everything was spot on. We never had an empty glass either, which I absolutely love. To all of you who complain about the service, please remember that these people work very hard and naturally, they have good days and bad days. Moved nearby and have gone consistently recently. The portions on my 3 ways are consistently smaller than any other Skyline I've been to. I have to ask for crackers every time or else I won't receive any. I ordered chilitos to switch it up and I did not like the way they made them. Too much cheese and hardly any chili. It was basically wet noodles with a shit load of melted cheese in a tortilla. I also had a large drink given to me half way full in the drive thru. Never in my life have I had to ask a drive thru to fill up my drink fully until I went to this Skyline. This is a poorly ran Skyline tarnishing the great name. read more

I'm not sure if this Skyline is under new ownership, but it used to be a great experience with friendly staff. Recently, it seems there may have been some changes. We called ahead to let them know we had a large group, and everything seemed fine--until we arrived. Another group had been seated where we were supposed to be, which was understandable, but we still needed accommodations for our group. Unfortunately, the manager behind the counter was very unhelpful and had a noticeable attitude. Rather than being accommodating, she came across as rude and gave the impression she didn't value our business. Thankfully, another manager stepped in, and they went above and beyond to find a spot that worked for us. Aside from that one issue, our overall experience was great. The food was excellent, and our server was absolutely fantastic. She handled our large group with care and received wonderful support from the rest of the team. To the management: I'd suggest reconsidering the person behind the counter. A better attitude could make a world of difference. Kudos to the rest of the staff--keep up the great work! read more

Received a call from Kelly (Chelsea's boss). She apologized many times and explained that Chelsea should not have been taking calls if she had a bad day. She further explained that it was unreasonable to tell me to come back and get the 2 coneys that were made incorrectly. It would have been about 45 mins round trip to replace the coneys. Came to this location today. Dropped in to purchase a chili cheese sandwich an of order fries with a sweet tea. I was greeted by 3 workers when I enter the atmosphere. The boy working the from asked if I wanted to dine in or for it to be a carry out. I stated it would be to go. After waiting for my food, I decided to sit down at a table to clear my head, and kill time before I had to pick up my baby! The young man explained to me that he enjoyed working there, It was his second day, and I said it's probably pretty easy. ( he was very friendly and welcoming) We had a small talk while he was taking my order. After he brought me my food I asked him if it was OK if I just sit right there to nibble on my french fries, he said that should be fine go ahead. As I was eating scrolling my phone, I was addressed by the only black worker in the restaurant who was actually on the grill and she told me I could not sit there unless I paid $.53. She explained to me that her manager wanted her to come over and asked me for $.53 for dining in. I explained to her that I was not utilizing a sever and didn't understand why I needed to pay when I was okayed to sit here. I'm just sitting in the chair nibbling on my fries to kill time. Today was not a good day to visit the Finneytown location. They were busy, it was lunch. Our server finally acknowledged us and said she would be back to take our order. No problem. What went terribly wrong is when we had to wave at her to remind her we still had not ordered. At that point the server, Cecily responded with a shocking, rude, non apologetic remark. I have never had a server ever be so rude as Cecily. Enough so, we questioned leaving at that point but only had so much time left to eat lunch. At her next visit to the table, she again asked if we were in a hurry. This place is pure magic absolutely the most amazing food that has ever been created the wonderful hotdog smothered with cinnamon based chili a little mustard a little onion and then 17 pounds of thinly shredded cheese piled so incredibly high all on one magical dog it is the most amazing place in the world. I visit once a year and average about 8 cheese coneys a day. It does take a toll on me (and those near me). But it's the price you have to pay. We haven't been here in a few months. After sitting down, we waited a while for anyone to come to us. Then a server wanted to come get drinks and another girl said no... that was slightly annoying. Then a server got our drinks and said our actual server would get take our food. It was definitely the longest we've ever had to wait and it wasn't even that busy. Growing up, I have eaten many a meal at Skyline Chili. My high school years were spent frequenting the local Skyline restaurant and enjoying their various dishes. This is one location I haven't visited, so it was nice to stop in and support the franchise in another part of town. The building was previously home for Pizza Hut, and this is evident when you see the restaurant. Now, however, it is home to the city's famous chili, and the chili does not disappoint! The taste of the food was splendid as always, and I enjoyed a bowl of chili and a chili cheese sandwich. One thing I love about Skyline is how they serve chili in so many ways. It's hard not to find something to eat there, and they are willing to customize the dish to your liking. Over the years, however, I've noticed they have not really done anything spectacularly different; the menu designs are the same, as is the variety of dishes they offer. Don't get me wrong - the dishes are great, but I'd love to see something exciting and new to catch my attention and bring me in. As a result, I don't go to Skyline as much anymore. It IS possible to get burned out on chili, especially when you can find different kinds of chili around the city as well. The service here was fabulous - the waitress was very attentive, pleasant, and was quick to provide us with refills and inquire about our experience. In fact, much of the staff was smiley and friendly. Despite the lack of innovation with food dishes, Skyline is delicious - and this restaurant continues to fortify the solid and impressive reputation of the Skyline chain! While in town I kept hearin Cincinnati Chili this, Cincinnati chilli that as well as stuff like "Oh you gotta try the Cincinnati chili at Skyline it's great!" I know a thing or two about Chili and "great" is a bit of a stretch. I happen to make a homeade chile that will knock your socks off, in fact I've been thinkin about entering one of those chili contests you see on tv if the opportunity ever presents itself. Anywayz a more apt description for this place is "good in a pinch", or "as good as Wendy's...maybe better." If folks in Cincinnati are using Skyline as the gold standard for their namesake chili they may wanna rethink that dubious distinction. Forgive my cynicism but I wouldn't be this critical if the place weren't over hyped by the local yokels. I don't want this to reflect badly on Cincinnati as a whole because I really enjoy the city and the friendly folks there so I'm adding a 3rd star out've heartfelt sentiment for the place. I had lunch here recently, and I continue to be impressed with the quick service and quality of the food at this quick-service Cincinnati chain. I had a 3-way chili, which is spaghetti covered with chili and then covered with shredded cheddar cheese. Trust me, it tastes way better than it sounds if you haven't tried it yet. How can you not give Skyline 5 stars? That really could complete my review, but I'll get a bit more specific. This is the Skyline closest to where I work, and I've always been happy with my meals here. The staff is friendly and my order has always been correct, even though I usually go through the drive-thru. If you're not from Cincinnati and don't know what to do with yourself...start with a 3-way (it's not as dirty as it sounds, I promise) and a cheese coney. They also have delicious burritos and other meals. Even if you don't eat meat, there are other options here. The greek salad is great (and I usually don't bother with salad when there is chili and cheese around) and they have good baked potatoes as well. For some reason Skyline hot sauce tastes better than any other hot sauce on earth to me, although other people tell me it's no different. I'm done with this Skyline. They have signs that say "This table reserved for a party of 3 or more...", no Wi-fi, dirty floor, dirty windows. They were soaking the dirty parts to the soda dispenser at the server station in the middle of the restaurant. I wonder why there were less than 6 guests there at 5:30 pm. This Skyline will never get our business again. I ordered two 3 way combos (#4), and one kid's 3 way combo. Keep in mind, the #4 combo is close to $10. It includes a cheese coney and a drink. When we got home, we pulled three kid's 3 ways from the bag. Surely this couldn't be right I thought, considering it wasn't on the kid's menu, and cost me just about $10. I called the store and was told that there was no mistake, and that the combo #4 does come with a kid's size 3 way. I then explained that they forgot the Oreo cookie in the kid's meal. The girl told me to come back up and she'll give us an Oreo. I explained how inconvenient it was for us to pack back up and drive all the way back to the store for a cookie. She then started patronizing me and in the most condescending tone said, I'll tell you what, I can give you two Oreo's and I'll even throw in a dum dum sucker! I then asked to speak with the manager and she told me she was the manager. Her name is Kelly and she was extremely rude. This is THE WORST skyline ive ever been to!!!!! Ive been eating at skyline for 10+ years and have been to at least two dozen locations. Ive been to this one roughly 5-8 times. My order has never been right and the two managers Ive had contact with have terrible attitudes...frowned faces all the time...slamming things. One even muttered something under his breath while i was waiting on my food. He clearly thought i was being impatient and didnt have the spine to say it maturely.
