LOVED EVERY MOMENT!!! I didn't know this is what my husband had planned for my birthday until an HOUR before we left for the airport and I am still 1000% okay with it. It was such an incredible adventure. The view you get of Zion is breathtaking and the way down, what a rush!!! Instructor did a great job training and letting you know exactly what to expect, and made sure you felt safe and calm. He also has the most intoxicating passion and so much experience skydiving, it helps you from being nervous because you just know you're in the best of hands. Made a reservation for my daughter's 20th birthday. This was a bucket list item for her. Rick was fairly short and seemingly unprofessional on the phone. Answers the phone as "hello?" instead of how you'd expect a business to answer. I've been skydiving before, but the reception I received seemed borderline condescending. Since they were convenient we decided to make a non-refundable deposit for our reservation anyway. Rick called at 6pm the night before (on Sunday) and cancelled our reservation for the next morning (Monday) placing the blame on the weather, saying his weather websites were putting the wind at 16 mph, a little above where they like it at under at least 15 mph. EVERY website I checked pinned the wind at 10 mph with gusts to 13 mph at the time of our reservation in the morning. When I pointed this out to Rick he had no response. Rick stated he had availability on Wednesday (not even Tuesday), which was unfortunate since we were leaving St. George on Tuesday. I'm assuming I'll get my non-refundable deposit back since they cancelled it, but I do have an issue with non-refundable deposits unless it benefits the business. I think I'll be more inclined to go to Mesquite, NV or even Vegas with more professional outfits. Your mileage may vary. read more

Awesome! Rick is the best. He exudes the perfect combination of professionalism and enthusiasm. As first-time skydivers, my girlfriend and I weren't entirely sure what we were getting ourselves into. Rick helped us with everything from what to wear, to the proper body position to execute while free falling. His love for skydiving is obvious, and creates a positive, fun, and encouraging environment. Above all else, Rick is a professional. For jumping out of a plane 11,000' above the ground, we felt safe the entire time. Our pilot, Roger, was also excellent. He was friendly, engaging, and again, a professional. Skydive Zion is a one man operation run by Rick. I learned more with him than my past 3 jumped combined. You'll work together to design your experience, not just get thrown out of the plane. Rick will teach you the proper signals and form for a variety of different air movements. If you're anywhere near Zion, stopping in for a dive with Rick is an absolute must. Rick is super awesome. I just jumped at one of the big "jump mills" in Southern California and it was fine but Rick is so much more personal and explains things so much better than one of the mills.
