Finally decided after 5 years, to go skydiving again!…read more Found Skydive Las Vegas online and made our reservation a couple months out. With that I was relieved that they called to check with us the day prior and texted the address and to see if we had any questions. We got there and it was neat to see people enjoying their experience. Sky Dive LV is on the backside of the building, they got us checked in and it was a few minutes then we watched a video and got spun up on what to do. Within 30 minutes we were suited up, and then Mauro and Carlos were our professionals to jump with. It was exciting, fun, and I felt safe! (I know crazy right!). There was good instruction, good communication, and it was a great experience to do again here. Didn't realize (so surprise) but it was neat that my boyfriend and I were the only party for our ride up, which was special to us rather than a random group of 6-8 like our first experiences elsewhere. Views here were awesome! Cannot say it'll always be this way, but within two hours we were heading home, which was nice for timing! Prices are typical for sky diving. Nothing too out of the ordinary. The staff reaching out were very accommodating and easy to deal with in the minor reschedule. Desirae was working check in on my very early arrival. She was awesome, informative, friendly, and very generous in allowing me to stash my motorcycle helmet and jacket outside of provided lockers, it in her control. Really nice customer service and friendliness despite some of the other "customers". Top notch. I've had a little prior experience jumping, and was matched with Dimitrios as my jumpmaster/tandem. That dude is awesome. Enthusiastic, engaging, and true fun pro. Knowing I had a sprinkling of experience, he leaned into it and gave me quite an excursion. I was just there for the rush and ride, and boy did he provide! Would absolutely do again. Big props to Desirae and Dimitirios. They made an already exciting and fun experience, superb. We didn't actually get to jump with GoJump Las Vegas (they called us the night before to let us…read moreknow all jumps were cancelled), but I super appreciate their level of service leading up to it. I learned about GoJump from Groupon but had some follow-up questions. They have a text line where you can send them your questions, and they always responded within 1-2 minutes. They are super responsive :). GoJump was actually a little more expensive than other skydiving companies that we were looking at, but based on their availability and customer service, I was happy to go with GoJump. They also have a shuttle from Vegas (pickup by Excalibur) for $18 round trip, which is much more affordable than taking an Uber there. If you do want to purchase the Groupon, you have to call them to schedule, but they will also honor the Groupon directly - so no middleman (I would highly recommend booking directly). Unfortunately, as I mentioned, the actual skydiving didn't happen, but we were given the option to reschedule or get a refund. We were only in town for a short stint, so rescheduling wasn't an option, but getting the full refund is much appreciated, as that isn't something that all companies do. I also appreciate that they gave advanced notice for the cancellation so that we could plan the rest of our Vegas trip right away instead of waking up early and waiting around an airport only to have wasted half the day. Yes, we were bummed to hear that the trip was cancelled, but I get that weather is finicky and safety comes first. GoJump handled everything professionally and I commend them for that.

This experience was unforgettable from start to finish in their 165 acre property. We kicked off the day with a short ride on Jafar, a stunning, gentle giant weighing nearly 3,000 pounds. ( love at first sight) After taking some amazing photos with him, he happily stayed nearby and spent the rest of the day with us. From there, we met several other camels and hopped on the tram, where more adventures were to be had . Along the way, we encountered so many incredible animals, more camels, a zedonk, llamas, alpacas, and miniature horses. One of the highlights was feeding Thorn, their adorable pet porcupine,grapes she was just the sweetest little girl. We also got to see New Guinea singing dogs (so cute!) and Ambien, their 20-year-old sloth, who was just as amazing to see in person as you'd imagine. Feeding the alpacas and llamas carrots was such a fun, hands-on experience. As if that wasn't enough, four friendly Ridgeback dogs casually joined us on the tram, roaming freely and adding even more charm to the day. Every animal we encountered was gentle, well cared for and clearly loved . I truly can't say enough wonderful things about this experience it was pure joy from beginning to end. If you've never met a camel, Ilama, or alpaca, you're missing out. These gentle creatures will absolutely fill your heart. I'm already looking forward to going back again soon. We were amazed by how up close and personal we could get with the camels and the other animals. The safari tram tour was informative and much more engaging than anticipated as well. We had plenty of opportunities to see the animals in a natural, spacious environment. The friendly staff were also incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the animals in their care. They shared interesting facts about the area and the animals throughout the tour that made the experience both fun and educational. This was far better than your average zoo... it felt much more interactive and authentic. One of the biggest highlights is the location itself. It truly feels like a backcountry adventure, and it's hard to believe you're such a short drive from the Las Vegas Strip. We also did the UTV tour, which took us down to the Virgin River and deeper into the surrounding desert landscape. The scenery was stunning, and I couldn't believe we had just been in the middle of Vegas. What a great experience!

Over the years I have brought many sailboat sails to Simon for repair. While I could ship or drive my sail repairs to the coast, to a reputable sail loft, Simon's repairs are top notch. Simon teaches a world famous parachute school, where people come from all over the world to learn his craft. He could have opened his shop anywhere in the world and he chose Boulder City, Nevada. His skills to keep skydiver's decent to a reasonable speed, also helps the boats I sail from falling apart in extreme weather. With wind speeds averaging around 25-35 knots on Lake Mead, it's the 70 knot gusts where Simon's skills are much appreciated. Simon knows his work can be the difference between life and death, this is true with sailing on the Lake as well. Thank you Simon!

Ever since I first found out about Sky Combat Ace, it had been sitting firmly on my bucket list…read more Years ago, I even bought myself a gift certificate for their San Diego location, but that location unfortunately closed - apparently because inconsistent weather kept causing flight cancellations. I had made several trips to Las Vegas since then, but somehow never managed to fit it in. Until this past weekend. The staff was helpful and proactive in locating my reservation from years ago, transferring everything into their newer system, and getting my appointment handled without any drama. They even honored the package pricing from then... I booked the first flight of the morning, which turned out to be the perfect choice in the Vegas heat. There was no crowd, no rush, and the weather was great. The experience itself was an absolute blast and did not disappoint. I was grinning cheek to cheek the entire time. After seeing the video, my family and friends said I looked more hyped than scared. Granted, I have done tandem paragliding, heli-skiing, bungee jumping from what was then the world's highest jump in Queenstown, and tandem skydiving more than once. Still, this was completely different, and easily one of the most memorable experiences I have ever had. My pilot was Christian, and he was professional, friendly, helpful, and incredibly encouraging. I took the stick for five maneuvers: an aileron roll, barrel roll, loop, hammerhead, and tail slide. Yes, I was basically LARPing as a stunt pilot, and I loved every second of it. I also added the Advanced Maneuvers and Bombing Run packages for $150 each. We even did an 8G turn! After experiencing that, I have a whole new appreciation for the high-G climb scene in Top Gun: Maverick. It looks cool on a screen, but feeling that force against your entire body is something else. I also opted for the $299 Editors add-on, which gives me the raw video files. After editing the footage with a couple of the well-known Top Gun scores, using the anthem for the maneuvers where I had the controls and, of course, "Danger Zone" for the advanced maneuvers and bombing run. I ended up wanting to watch Maverick all over again! Instead of posting mostly photos with this review, I decided the videos would tell the story much better. This is absolutely a must-do experience, especially for anyone who has ever dreamed of flying aerobatics or wondered what it feels like to be inside one of those crazy movie maneuvers. Right now, this easily ranks as one of my most memorable adventures. Five stars, all the way.

Disappointed and concerned about cleanliness…read more We were initially really excited to take our daughter to SkyJump, but after a few visits we decided with our doctor that we can't go back. Every time we went, she ended up getting sick shortly afterward, and the common thread was how dirty and poorly maintained the place felt. Floors and high-touch areas didn't look like they were being cleaned regularly, and the overall environment just did not feel sanitary for a family attraction. Watching our daughter repeatedly get sick after visits was devastating, and no "thrill" is worth that kind of worry. We won't be returning, and I hope management takes cleanliness and basic hygiene much more seriously going forward.
