Rented a four-seater for a half day, reserved in advance. The staff were friendly and helpful. I chose this place because it was out near the off-road location, not a long shuttle ride from Vegas (and we could explore Valley of Fire on our way back). I was glad my small 6-year-old son fit in the seat - he liked riding in the front, and the back was large enough for a big adult. He would have liked a smaller helmet but he did okay. The buggy was clean and well set up, and ran well. We got the non-turbo which was just fine, no need to go any faster! I'm a GPS geek so I found the unit they supplied small and impossible to read while driving, but OK for navigator; we only got off track once and found our way back quickly. We did the standard loop, north of Valley of Fire. My wife and I switched drivers several times (she made me drive the "hard" parts). The first/last part of the course on a dirt road was the hardest; once you got down to the wash driving was easy. After the dunes, we enjoyed walking to the petroglyphs. I tried to do some drone photos, but there was a little too much wind for my little Mavic Mini - at altitude above the red rocks it nearly got blown away! It was a little hard to tell how long it would take to get back, so we ended up a little early but the little guy was falling asleep anyway. Take your time if you can, enjoy the dunes and the scenery! On the way back we drove through Valley of Fire with was amazing.

AMAZING. Fun!!! Hubby & I went on a Tues gloomy but beautiful day. No one else were there , so we had the whole area to ourselves . Highly recommend spending more time in the sand dunes. Bring lots of drinks+ snacks !! A MUST!

    Ride for the day!

Thank you guys! We had such a blast with the Polaris Turbo R. That thing was wicked fast! To whoever is reading this review, it doesn't get any better than this, Rockford fosgate speakers, gps, Bluetooth radio, a mounted cooler, sand dunes and petroglyphs! By far the best experience in the Las Vegas area. The staff is extremely friendly and caring about their customers. They have put a lot of work into the pre-operation video and the tracking system to keep you safe. Thanks again guys, see you guys later this year.

I believe this is the only place in southern Nevada that allows self tours on ATVs. The rest are dusty congo lines. If your a competent driver and want to explore on your own, I highly recommend Ultimate Desert Adventures. The trails in Logandale are as beautiful as they are fun for novices and experience drivers alike. Ride times are about 11:00-3:00 but you will need to be prompt for an informative safety briefing. Make sure you give yourself enough time and don't be late. They will lock the door. It's about 1 hr 10 minutes from Vegas if your wondering how much time to allow. Drivers must have a license and passengers must be able to reach the floor. This wasn't a problem for my 8 year old nephew. Safety is their number one priority. You will be provided a helmet and goggles which must be worn. All ATVs have gps, cameras and mapping equipment. The equipment is well maintained. Well worth the money for what you get. Go check them out and drive safe.

Amazing day trip while staying in Las Vegas. The big selling point for choosing Ultimate Desert Adventures ( Law Motorsports) is that you're renting the vehicle and you're on your own (you get a GPS with a preset map of where they suggest you go).. this is NOT a long caravan of tourists on ATVs.. Make sure you are booking rhis business and NOT the one that's a large caravan tour. Never driven an UTV before? No problem, they're automatic and once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy to drive. There are some "cliff hanger" parts of the trail but as long as you go slow you'll be fine. They do have very detailed information about rules and what to do in case of emergencies. It's tough remembering all of the information. But just remember not to do anything crazy, never touch a desert tortoise, and watch for large rocks in the middle of the road.. You will see amazing rock formations and if you're lucky (like we were) you will see herds of bighorn sheep. There was also a very fun sandy section of the trail were you can slip and slide while driving. The pictures (mine and others) are reflective of the experience. We chose the cheaper Polaris RZR 900 and it was perfect for us beginners. If I was to go again I would upgrade to the CAN-AM X3. - It's a one hour drive from the strip. - Look for discount codes online. They aren't always offered but sometimes they are. Anywhere from 10% - 20% off. I would just call ask ask for a discount.. - It's four hours ( expecially if you're new and a slow driver). - Bring a picnic. if you're on the strip, the ABC store across from Eataly has grab and go sandwiches. I posted pictures on their yelp page for perspective. Pretty good options including fruit. TIP - This would make a great gift idea...

What an adrenaline rush! We made reservations and rented a 4 seater RZR. We drove from the LV Strip as they have no shuttles however we had a car rental for the weekend so it worked out perfectly. Reservations online were very easy, 20% deposit at the time and the remainder plus $1500 deposit due when you check in. We made them about a week in advance but not much left so book early! Our reservation was on a Monday for a half day rental. After getting sandwiches in advance for lunch (Earl of Sandwich in the Miracle Shops is open early), we left approximately around 8:45am and made it in plenty of time as they request you show at 10am. We got there on time and had plenty of time to get situated, use the restroom, complete are waivers and check in. There was a cooler provided on the rental and it fit our large soft sided cooler bag perfectly. They go over in complete detail the trails, GPS, hazards including videos with the entire group of rentals that day so please be on time. We've rented these before but go nowhere near of a detailed explanation as this time. We were thoroughly impressed how organized and detailed they were. The trail itself has a wide range of rides, narrow when you first start then goes into open road with the beautiful Valley of Fire sand formations, dunes, curves and uphill's. There is a stop to have lunch and it was a welcome break to take in the scenery. We were able to switch drivers several times and experiences all the the park and trail had to offer. We initially passed the trail to see the Petroglyphs by about 10 minutes but backtracked and we were able to do the short hike in and see some. Everything was just stunning. I highly suggest planning a day to come out and experience the RZR and this trail. It was breathtaking and whole experience very seamless.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Amazing trails. RZR in top notch condition. Highly recommend! We will be back. Stop by Lin's Market next door to get sandwiches, waters, snacks.

LOVED the experience! Adam and his colleague are super knowledgable and friendly, and they will happily answer all your questions! I went by myself and it was my first time on a dune buggy, and it was pretty easy! GPS is simple, easy to navigate and I had 4 hours to explore the desert (I did it in 2 1/2) I would highly recommend coming here! :)))

This is the place you have to go to if you want to have fun! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They provided amazing instructions on the trails we would be on and it was awesome that the Polaris came with an ice chest for our water/Gatorade/food. They also are super fast responding to any vehicular failures as unfortunately we had some issues with ours and they came to replace it within a meaningful timeframe to get us back out there to have fun! The trails had a mix of all conditions and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience. 10 out of 10 definitely recommend checking them out and I look forward to going again!

An awesome experience about an hour away from the Strip! We rented a two-seater razor for a half day and enjoyed every scorching hot minute. When you arrive, they have a meeting to go over all the rules and safety reminders. They go over the map of the trail system but the GPS unit they provided was more helpful on the road. You get fitted for helmets, grab a pair of goggles, load your cooler, and then you're off on your own! We loved that we didn't have to follow a tour guide and could explore within the trail system on our own. Also meant we didn't have to eat a tour guide's dust! A few tips: - Make sure to bring plenty of water. It gets hot so quickly. - Use the restroom at the office because all trail restrooms are closed due to Covid - Unless you're following another car, it doesn't really get dusty so you don't need a gaiter/mask underneath the helmet - There's very few shaded areas to stop. The first restroom on the gravel trail has a shaded spot across from it. It's a good spot for a picture too!

This was truly an elevated experience! Our group of 3 families rented the Polaris turbo. They all come with all the bells and whistles which make it a extremely pleasant ride. The staff is extremely helpful and gives you every piece of information and safety instruction so even the most inexperienced driver will feel confident and safe. Machines are clean and well maintained. Absolutely a great ride and the views are breathtaking! Definatly worth the short trip from Vegas!

Great trail ride today with 4 people in a Polaris RZR XP Pro S with Dynamic shocks. There were a few intermediate obstacles but we managed just fine. The instructor was very knowledgeable and provided everything we needed to have a fun and safe experience, even for 1st time drivers. Fair prices. New machines. Friendly staff. No issues. Thanks Ultimate Desert Adventures and Law Powersports for the wonderful experience.

This place may be a little far from vegas, but trust me this is a must do on your trip. After 30 min of video trainings, you get a GPS and 4 hours to go be wild (in a semi safe manner). So believe me, this is a MUST DO! Can't speak highly enough of the vehicles and the down to earth people that work there. They even offer military discount!

From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth, exciting, and well-organized. The staff set the tone right away with how friendly and helpful they were throughout the entire sign-up process. While reservations are definitely recommended to speed things up, we noticed they were just as accommodating to walk-ins, which was great to see. Kyra helped get us signed up and made everything feel easy and welcoming. Before heading out, Palmer and Caleb led the safety introduction, and they were both knowledgeable, engaging, and actually made it fun instead of just informational. You could tell they really cared about everyone having a safe and enjoyable experience. They provided all the gear we needed--helmets, face coverings, and even cold water, which was a lifesaver in the desert heat. Out on the course, we saw staff actively checking in on riders, making sure everyone was doing well, which added an extra level of comfort. The ride itself was amazing--endless terrain to explore, incredible views, and just an all-around adrenaline-filled adventure. Everything felt well thought out and professionally run. I've not been to the wave but I have been to other slot canyons/antelope canyon, and the ring of fire trail leading to the scenic view of the fire wave is reminiscent of it!! There was also a pink sand slot canyon along that trail if you do the full loop (called the Pastel (pink) canyon trail). It's super cute and very unique, I did not see any other landforms quite like it on my road trip through Utah! Another short trail I enjoyed was the rainbow view trail - it's not long at all and is just a generally pretty, pink sand trail to a nice viewpoint. And the iconic valley of fire road view actually is just past this trailhead on your way back toward the main road (driving away from ring of fire trail). DO BE AWARE it gets hotter THAN out here. They have signs up at several trailheads that essentially say "drink water, you could die." I went on a day in April and it wasn't too bad, but it was still hot enough I was sweating a bit by the time I returned to my car, and it got VERY hot inside the car as well and took a hot minute to cool down. Overall though: this is one state park that is so unique it is absolutely worth traveling off the beaten path and the $10 entry fee to visit. I would give SunBuggy zero stars if it were possible. Some friends and I make a yearly Vegas trip…read moreand always look to do something as a group. This year we decided on the 60 minute Baja Chase. Our trip was in September. The company's website describes this as "fast-paced and not tailored for the weak at heart". The company further states: "THIS IS NOT A SLOW PACED OFF ROAD SIGHTSEEING TOUR (if you'd like slow and pretty, we can take you to the Valley Of Fire instead). Your job will be to chase one of our expert Dunies. The only thing that will slow our Dunie down is if he's waiting for you to catch up. At SunBuggy, although we regularly host significant events with hundreds of participants, the Mini Baja Chase is kept to less than seven cars per Dunie to ENSURE that you get a nice, fast ride!" That sounded perfect as we were a group of 7. When we made our reservation, we were told our group would be on our own. The day of our adventure came and all went as planned until we were actually dropped off for the chase. We noticed not just 7 dune buggies, but about 13. We were in with another group. This was the first broken promise/guarantee. We thought perhaps one would go in one direction with us going another. Nope, it was quickly apparent that this was a multi-vehicle follow the leader. To make matters worse, there were some from the other group who had clearly not planned on going fast. The only way I was able to even approach anything close to exhilarating, was to slow way down, leave a ton of room between me and the buggy in front of me, then close the gap. During this stroll through the desert, we were forced to stop, as a group, three times due to mechanical issues. The first was a broken belt which the crew replaced on site impressively under 10 minutes. The second seemed to be a broken tie rod or such and it completely incapacitated the buggy. Those riders, from the other group, were given the option of riding with the crew. I have no idea what else they may have been offered. The third stoppage occurred to one of the guys in our group. A spring, that we had earlier noticed showed signs of multiple welds, snapped off and nearly hit him in the head. He was told to slowly drive it back to base. All in all, when those stoppages and the mid-ride break are accounted for, our 60 minute "chase" ended up as five, short and slow-paced rides. I've gone faster in prior ATV tours this company derides as sightseeing tours as well as any go-cart I've ever driven. I do want to give shout outs to the crew though. Those guys did all they could to try and keep our experience on track. We certainly realize that mechanical issues happen and can't always be anticipated, yet our crew even apologized over and over telling us this was beyond normal. When we were brought back to the office, we were informed that there was no one "in charge" or managerial in on a Saturday. Though everyone from both groups wished to lodge complaints, we were told our only option was to send an email. This was a glaring red flag. The staff told us that we'd get a response in under 24 hours. Those emails were sent. After three days of no response, we sent a follow up email and then called after several more days of no response. We were told during that phone call that someone would get back with us later that day. Yeah, that never happened. We kept in touch with the other group, and they experienced the same lack of response. It was at this point that both groups initiated disputes with the credit card companies we used to book the reservation. I will offer, that there are multiple signs around the office that there were no refunds. They all explain that extra time will be provided in cases of mechanical failure. We were offered no additional time. In fact, when we arrived back at the starting point in the desert, another large group was waiting to ride the very buggies we were in, so we assumed the company would offer some amount of refund or, at least, a return ride at a later date. We just heard back from the credit card company and they've dropped our dispute as SunBuggy told them that we received our 60 minute ride. Wonderful! To sum up, SunBuggy did not adhere to their own stated and advertised description of service. They also did not fulfill their own promise of an isolated chase for our group alone. Lastly, no one ever bothered to return our emails or phone calls to hear our complaints, and they lied to the credit company falsely stating that we received what we paid for. Las Vegas has almost unlimited entertainment options. I would suggest to anyone reading this that they choose anything other than SunBuggy. They may have gotten some great reviews on here, and I don't doubt that those people got what they paid for, yet our experience details how this company will deal with issues that fall short and that should be all you need to go elsewhere. Their true colors have come through.

I received some tips on where else to go that was kid-friendly since I was traveling with my daughter. Instructions and help on getting the gear on and UTV was good. Ryan added humor throughout the trip and he checked up on us to make sure we are all comfortable. This team is absolutely wonderful. Friendly and helpful. I wish there were more sand dunes and a longer ride on the sand since the rocks and granite made it very rocky and bumpy that you drive slower. I enjoyed being able to drive faster during the sand dunes part. Also this is the only tour that had the Air Filter and AC in the helmet so you have clear air to breathe and your head stays cool throughout the tour. Truly amazing! Overall, 2 thumbs up and a fist bump. Thank you and I will definitely recommend others to go on your tour. Best of luck on your competition as well, Ryan. Keep up the good work!

TLDR Summary: Yes it's worth the money…read more Bring a pair of gloves if you have some. Eat a light meal before as it will be bumpy. Get a good nights rest, don't do this hungover. Staff is professional & equipment was top notch. Drinks & Snacks will be served. No restrooms once out on the trail. You will come back dirty/dusty so dress accordingly. Car enthusiasts & adrenaline junkies will enjoy! Full Review: Was my 7th trip to Vegas & lucky number 7 also brought me to one of the most fun Vegas adventures I could've ever hoped for. We booked this based on some of the reviews & photos I had seen online. There are quite a few companies doing similiar things but this one was the best by far after seeing the equipment photos. New RZR equipment, helmets with air hoses to keep desert sand out, sun visors built in... what more could you ask for? Those with prescription glasses just advise your guide. We got picked up at our hotel and we looped around to pick up others along the route. The van trip will be about 30-45 mins depending what stop you were along the way. When the van was full, we headed out to the dessert where the guides & equipment were awaiting our arrival. An RV with a restroom is available at the launching site. Your stuff will stay in the van & it is safe. Yes, you can take a phone for your passenger to film but hold on tight because if you drop it in the desert... it's gone! Next step, throw on a headsock, grab a helmet, & get your safety briefing. Having ridden some Dune Buggies before, I brought a pair of driving gloves with me & I recommend you do the same. Mechanics gloves or any gloves are better than none as they'll add extra grip to your steering. Once loaded up & belted in, the guide will attach your air hose. These are seriously lifesavers & make the ride a much more comfortable experience. There will be a few breaks from time to time to get some drinks, use "natures" restroom, take photos, etc. just remember not to get out without waiting for the guide to detach the air hose. The guides were super friendly, professional, & helpful every step of the way. Safety was always a top priority. The trail was a ton of fun & the RZR's are more than capable for the terrain. Yes, it's bumpy, but that's what you're here for! As a car guy, my only gripe was getting stuck behind an older couple who wasn't as adventurous. There is no chance to pass so your pace is tied to whomever is immediately in front of you. Would have much preferred to be right behind the guide so lesson learned for next time. If you plan to take it easy, opt for riding towards the back of the pack. Once the ride is complete, you'll return to the site where the RV & van is. Return your helmets, get some snacks, buy some merch, & tip your guides if you enjoyed your trip. The van will then drop everyone back off where you were picked up. Would I do it again? YES!!! Uploaded a bunch of photos so take a look. If you enjoyed the review, please let me know with a vote. Thanks!
