I…read morechose this place because it was out near the off-road location, not a long shuttle ride from Vegas (and we could explore Valley of Fire on our way back). I was glad my small 6-year-old son fit in the seat - he liked riding in the front, and the back was large enough for a big adult. He would have liked a smaller helmet but he did okay. The buggy was clean and well set up, and ran well. We got the non-turbo which was just fine, no need to go any faster! I'm a GPS geek so I found the unit they supplied small and impossible to read while driving, but OK for navigator; we only got off track once and found our way back quickly. We did the standard loop, north of Valley of Fire. My wife and I switched drivers several times (she made me drive the "hard" parts). The first/last part of the course on a dirt road was the hardest; once you got down to the wash driving was easy. After the dunes, we enjoyed walking to the petroglyphs. I tried to do some drone photos, but there was a little too much wind for my little Mavic Mini - at altitude above the red rocks it nearly got blown away! It was a little hard to tell how long it would take to get back, so we ended up a little early but the little guy was falling asleep anyway. Take your time if you can, enjoy the dunes and the scenery! On the way back we drove through Valley of Fire with was amazing.

What truly made the experience exceptional, though, was our guide, Matt. He was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the area's history, geology, and wildlife, but also genuinely passionate about making sure everyone had an amazing time. We got to ride through a variety of terrain--sandy paths and scenic overlooks. Matt made stops at The Great Chamber and a gorgeous slot canyon, and provided great information about these landmarks. We had many opportunities to take photos and really soak in the beauty of Zion. This year Nikki and I did a three night adventure with our good friends Norman, Holly, and his sister and boyfriend. First day we traveled to a campsite in Camden intense the first night. Do the fact I haven't done that and I'm gonna say 40 years it was a little bit of a shocker after driving side-by-side for five hours and then trying to figure out how to put this tent together. But they were great helped us put everything together. Served us a wonderful dinner as we sat around a little fire and all got caught up. Next day we wrote on down to the bar 10 ranch and got some time just kinda relax and take a wonderful shower. The people at Barton couldn't be nicer. The whole staff is absolutely wonderful. Helpful treat you like royalty. Although going to the campsite and coming back down the mountain, you have a little bit of driving on the edge of cliffs. The real adventurous Day was day three when we went out to an old abandoned Copper Mine. I will say there's a lot of driving on the edge, it is not for the faint of heart. It is a true adventure. But the sites and the time are just amazing. Jamel, Skyler and Sindy were wonderful tour guides and kept us safe. One of the other wonderful things is being away from everything having no Internet no real cell reception. It was such a wonderful thing to unplug. Just being off grid. We will still be doing this again next year if not sooner.

We had a new rider and William, with the help of Dave, were very patient and helpful in making our new rider feel safe and included in everything. We loved that we made stops along the way to learn about the area and the geography, and bc driving for 4 hours straight would have been a little miserable. Valley of Fire State Park is one of the most breathtaking places I've ever visited. The bright red…read morerock formations almost look like you're on another planet, and every turn offers another incredible view. The scenic drive alone is worth the trip, but there are also plenty of great spots to stop, explore, and take photos. I especially enjoyed seeing the unique rock formations and the ancient petroglyphs. Everything was well maintained, and it was easy to spend several hours just taking in the scenery. If you're visiting the Las Vegas area, this is an absolute must see and well worth the drive. I would definitely come back again.
