There's two skydiving joints that share the same office - Go Jump & sin city. Go Jump is in the front of the building facing the parking lot, sin city is in the back near the runway. Easy instruction, they play a handful of videos & you sign your rights away via paperwork prior to jumping. It's a simple process. You choose your picture/video packages - the picture package is a steal because they take hundreds of photos on a Go Pro and send you a link to them. I think I got around 350 photos of the jump. My instructor was kind, professional, and easy to get along with. The plane ride lasts approximately 15 minutes, you free fall for about 30-45 seconds and then the parachute opens and you glide into landing. An amazing experience, I'd recommend anyone give it a try! read more

My wife surprised me with skydiving, we went to the address not realizing there are 2 skydiving companies in 1 building so make sure you are at the right one( sin city sky diving ) we figure it out about half an hour later that we were standing in the wrong area, you just need to go around the back, are experience in the beginning was not good and make sure you have some time about 3-4 hours not much instruction at the building but when you meet your jump partner ( shout out to Jordan) they make you feel comfortable and there so friendly and helpful there instructions are on point and it was such a blast I recommend everyone to at the least try it 1 time. read more

For my 18th birthday (07/12/08) my best friend & Yelper, Chingoo L., woke me up at my house and made me get ready...he told me we were going indoor skydiving.... It wasn't till on the way he told me we were actually going real jump out of plane freaking skydiving.... If you know me, you know that I am not much of an adrenaline junkie of this sort. Going on stage.. I love, however, rollercoasters & waterslides I am not a fan of.. I have watched too many Final Destinations and am forever paranoid. He apparently made reservations with SCS and we were supposed to meet them at Venetian or wherever to hop on the shuttle but we were running late so the shuttle driver told us to just follow him in our car. During the drive up to state line I tried to keep my cool but I was nervous as hell... When we got to the office I expected to have a hour long instructional class or whatever since I hear that's what they do at indoor skydiving but nope! They had us sign our lives away and put on our suits and then off to the plane we went... When I saw the plane I was like FCK, if I don't die from this jump it will be from this OLD raggedy plane crashing... While on the plane the instructors straddle themselves on to you from the behind (gigggaty) and briefly tell you how to position yourself when you jump.. When we got to the proper elevation which is the height of 4 Stratosphere towers!!!!!! My instructor told me we were going first and opened the door and told me to jump.. I was like FML HAILLLLLL NO and grabbed onto the plane so the instructor pried my fingers off of the plane and down down down we fell. The free fall lasts less than 20 seconds and it was so much fun all my fears went away and it was the most amazing feeling ever... The air was cool & clean and just indescribable... Then the instructor pulled the shoot and we just floated away for 5 minutes or so just soaking in the whole experience.. This was definitely one of the top experiences of my life and I have my CHINGOO LEE to thank. I highly recommend trying skydiving at least once in your life.. Chingoo spent a lot of $$$$$$$ and paid to have the whole thing recorded on video and pictures.. but it was definitely worth it ;]]] read more

I booked 2 months in advance for my wife's 40th Birthday. My wife has always wanted to do this. So...my plan was to surprise her. IE Drive out to the airport and tell her, "Guess what...you are jumping out of a plane today!" Well we booked with Skydive Las Vegas and they cancelled our Noon appt.....same day at 7:00 AM. Jerks... Thus...surprise blown! We ended up scheduling a jump with "Sin City Skydiving" in Jean for a 1:30. They not only accommodated us the same day with a single person, they were waaaay cool, safe and down to earth. They weather was also absolutely perfect....so it was full BS on Skydive Las Vegas' part. My wife had a wonderful jump with her instructor Rick and we had a great chat with the owner Brad all about their safety record and what to expect. Rick also grabbed some awesome pics and a fab video that we've shown our daughter, friends and family members. These guys really helped save me and give my wife a wonderful birthday present. I bought a LivingSocial deal for my boyfriend and I while we were staying in Las Vegas. This was our first time skydiving, and this place is incredible! When I booked the jumps, Sin City Skydiving only offered reservations at 7:30am and 11:30am. The winds pick up in the afternoon so that's why they only offered morning jumps. They pick you up at Bally's hotel on the strip and drive out to the airport in Jean, which is about a 20 minute drive. When you reach the skydiving office at the airport, you'll pay for your skydiving and photos/videos if you want them. After getting strapped into your harness, the instructors give a quick demo of what to do once you jump out of the airplane and what to do when you land. It isn't very complicated because the instructors will be doing most of the work anyways. You're just along for the ride, so just relax! My instructor was Jace and my boyfriend's instructor was Rocco. They are both are amazing and they have a lot of experience. The airplane is very small, so only two pairs of jumpers go into the airplane at once. It takes about 10-15 minutes to reach the correct elevation. It's very easy to zone out during the free fall, so remember to stay present! After they pull the parachute, it's just cruising down. It's really cool especially if you're able to float through a cloud! We got the photo and video package, so there were two GoPro cameras attached to the instructor's wrist. Unfortunately you can't look at the photos/videos and purchase later, so you have to pay first. If you choose not to pay, the instructors don't even take the cameras with them. After you land, you take a shuttle back to the airport, you'll get your belongings (which are placed in a locker), and you'll head on back to the strip! Also, make sure to go to the bathroom and blow your nose before you jump, otherwise your snot will come out of your nose when you jump! You wouldn't want to see that in your photos or videos! read more

My husband and I purchased Groupons to go skydiving while we were in Vegas. Unfortunately, the day we were schedule to go the wind was too strong and they had to cancel all jumps for the day. Luckily we were still in town one more day and they were able to reschedule us for the next day. The wind had calmed the next day so we went to Bally's to get picked up and driven to the jump location. Once there, we were paired with our individual instructors who helped us get all of our gear on and then eventually, loaded into the plane. There are 2 pairs of jumpers that go in each plane, so my husband and I went up together. The plane ride was honestly the scariest part. I'm not fond of small planes, especially those that rattle (the slide down door is a heavy plastic so it rattled the entire time) but once we were at the elevation level needed to jump, the rest is pretty much history. We slid to the open door, followed the instructions that were given before we entered the plane on how to position ourselves for the fall out of the plane and we were off! I must say that I had a difficult time breathing during the free fall, and although they tell you to scream which helps you breathe, I couldn't make a sound! But once the parachute was released and we slowly made our descent back to land, I was able to catch my breath. It was great being able to take in the view during the slow descent. Once you land, you're loaded up into the bus and taken back to their center. At that time, they put your pictures and video on DVDs (if you purchased them) and then you head back to the hotel. The price you pay for the pictures and video (together they cost $99) is worth it DEPENDING on which instructor you jump with. My husband got a lot of pictures of him before and during his jump and most of mine were of the scenery because the instructor wasn't really aiming the cameras at me as much as I would have liked. He was on his first day with the Sin City Sky Diving company so my guess is that he's not used to having the camera attached to his arm. For that reason, I gave them 4 stars because I don't feel like the amount of pictures I got was worth the $100 I paid. Other than that, the experience was great! read more

I did this for my 21st birthday with three of my cousins. We actually booked this the 2 days beforehand, for 4 people. A shuttle picked us up at the Bale Hotel in Las Vegas and took us to the place where we would be jumping out of the plane! It seemed like forever, but maybe we were just anxious for the fate that awaited us. LOL. The price was reasonable, and I could tell that the staff were all very knowledgable and experienced. My instructor was that HOT guy who used to live in Hawaii! Haha. I was literally all-up on that! I had a semi-scary experience, because we actually had to deploy the emergency parachute (OMG!). The whole time I was up there, I had no idea that something was wrong with the first parachute (i'm assuming it was tangled). It's good that I didn't know the first parachute wasn't working well, otherwise I would've freaked the F*&% out! I felt a second drop, and thought that was normal. It wasn't until we landed that I found out what happened. My instructor was awesome and handled the situation like a true professional. I had an amazing experience here and I highly recommend coming here for your sky diving experience! read more

I DEFINITELY recommend this company. My friend wanted to do this for her birthday and I was absolutely terrified, but they made the whole experience completely awesome. Every single staff member is friendly, knowledgeable and easy-going. They made me feel comfortable and I had such a great time! They offer dives at 8 am and 12 noon and you can get picked up in a limo and driven out about 20 minutes from the strip (or you can drive yourself). The dive cost $179 to do a tandem, it was a summer special price, plus $89 more for the dvd/picture cd. Totally worth the money, it's an amazing experience! My friends and I purchased this groupon together as part of something I wanted to do for my birthday. I went skydiving over this Memorial Day weekend, the day after my birthday. I was the one who saw the groupon and asked my 3 other friends to join me for skydiving. I regret bringing them business as they were so rude to me. Since this was for my birthday and also my first skydiving experience, I also ordered the video+pictures for $99. Now, I mainly wanted the video but figured might as well get the photos for additional $20 (they are individually sold for $79.99 and $99.99 together). The skydiving experience was a bit shaky but overall was fun. There were moments when I don't quite agree with how business was conducted but I'm usually not picky about that sort of thing since everyone is just trying to make a living. The next morning, I opened my DVD and it turned out to be photos of my friend who went on the plane before me (we had 4 people and they can only take 2 at a time). I asked all my friends to see if there was a mix up but no one had my video. My friends recommended me to call Sin City Skydiving to see if they might have kept videos and photos just in case. It turns out that they delete all photos right away so no record was kept. NOT ONLY DID THEY NOT APOLOGIZE, THEY DIDN'T REALLY WANT TO REFUND ME AND ASKED ME TO SEND THEM BACK THE DVD AND THEY'LL CONSIDER REFUNDING ME $20. They failed to record my birthday/first skydiving experience and the manager's attitude was just "oh that sucks, but we still want to keep your money. We'll refund a pitiful $20." The manager, Don, first said that things like this never happen. Later said she can only refund me $20 because things like battery dying mid way happens all the time. I asked if I could get half refunded back because I really just wanted the video and she gave me such attitude AND SAID WHY SHOULD YOU GET SOMETHING FOR NOTHING OR FOR A DISCOUNT. That got my blood boiling because at this point, I was really sad about the whole situation but nice about it. She went on and on about how they have to pay the instructors and why should they refund me money? I asked if she could ask the owner. She said the owner said it's company policy to just refund me $20. Wow... I somewhat regret taking my friends to this place. I actually tipped my instructor $20 and this is how much they want to give me back, with some difficulty too. I seriously question if I went through the hassle of returning the DVD, if they would even bother to respond back to me. What bothers me more is that the manager Don lectured me saying why should I get something for free or for discounted price... Wow, I've never been so upset with a company's service before. Not only did they screw up on my birthday activity, not record my first skydiving experience/fail to put it on my DVD, and now it's somehow ridiculous to apologize and give me a refund. I do not see this as proper business conduct nor is this decent customer service. Don, the manager, was super nice when she took our credit card payment the day of skydiving but she was another person when things went wrong and when she needed to give me a refund. Does money give some people multiple personality disorder? At least they should keep videos and photos on record and all that takes is an external harddrive. Considering how much they charge people for photos and videos, all it takes is one customer's funds to buy an external harddrive. All I wanted was my video because that's what I paid for and the manager gave me such attitude about a refund. I do not think this is smart business because success also comes from word of mouth and great customer service. If anything, I think the owner could at least speak to me out of courtsey and not just disregard my situation because it's yesterday's business. Don't you want people coming back? I will be taking my friends skydiving elsewhere. I definitely regret bringing them business as I was the one who found the Groupon and asked others to purchase with me and this is the attitude they give me. My group spent over $1,000 there that day and they are stingy with me over messing up on my DVD/video. I really just wanted my videos there would not have been such a problem if they just kept it on file. Instead, not only do they not bother, they have such attitude about it. If they had a better system and kept an external hard drive, the video could've been easily sent to me and everyone would've been fine. If I got an honest apology and better customer service, it would'be been fine. read more

Sin city hot air balloon rides was awesome! It was a little cold out that morning but still worth it! We did the morning ride...which was beautiful! Definitely a lot more to do in vegas then get drunk, go to bars, & gambling. We had reservations but due to wind conditions they sent us to another company. This was fine except we ended up having to pay more for media which didn't seem fair. They said it was a better deal to go to this other place but we ended up having to pay more for the pictures so it wasn't a better deal for us. Our experience at the other place was decent but it just kind of stunk to end up paying more and not having Sin City make up for the difference. Also, I asked what would happen if we cancelled our dive due to the changes and they said we would lose our deposit. This seemed unfair as the switch was not our choice. I understand that overall the price difference wasn't a huge deal, it just seemed like bad business to not give us the option to cancel and to not do something in regards to the price difference. read more

Never having done skydiving before, I wasn't sure what to expect. The professionals at Sin City Skydiving made it all worthwhile. The slot that we requested was already full, so they opened up another time slot for us, and drove us out to the airport in a limo. Amazing doesn't even BEGIN to describe the feelings you'll have. From going into the wild blue in a small plane with clear views all around you, doing summersaults in the air, screaming toward earth during your free fall at 120 mph, and finally the smooth decent onto the soft earth - I felt safe the entire time. I recommend that everyone who is physically able try this at least once in their lifetime! read more

Went with 3 others in my group. Staff seemed to be in a rush to land. We all were spun around in tight turns after chutes deployed to lose altitude and land faster. Made us all very dizzy and not as enjoyable if instructors would have just floated down with parachutes. Free fall was great! I have nothing but great things to say about Sin City Skydiving, especially Rick! My boyfriend bought me a GroupOn for Valentine's Day, but he has an injury that doesn't allow him to skydive so I was the only one skydiving. I was a nervous wreck and Rick was extremely calming and supportive. We ended up going up with another skydiver who was solo so I didn't feel awkward since I was going by myself. My only advice for future skydivers is to be careful when you push off the plane with your legs.... I kicked too hard and the momentum made us spiral a bit. This guys are awesome, very professional, friendly and down right Great people. My husband,Dad & I were in Vegas the end of May and we decided to do something we always wanted to experience. You can only walk the strip and see so many shows. What a WONDERFUL time we had. They pick you up in a limo and drive you about 20 mins to Jean Nevada. They get you all suited up and being we were all first time jumpers made us feel very comfortable and answered any questions we might have. My dad & I had always talked about going together so we jumped first while they drove my husband out to the landing site to take pics and watch us come down. Then drove us back and my Dad and I got to drive back out and watch my husband jump! We had a great time and probably would have gone a 2nd time if we didn't have plans that evening. They have a great summer special and 1/2 price for the second jump! We will be back for sure just because of the GREAT experience and Professional treatment we received. Skydiving is the most awesome experience EVER!! I was terrified at first, but I enjoyed every second of it. Sin City Skydiving was awesome, they picked us up at Bally's in a limo, then got all us all geared up. Its nice that they only take 2 people up at a time. I cant remember my instructors name, but he was awesome and we carried good conversation the entire time. The views from up there, free-falling and the feeling of flying was just beyond amazing. I felt at ease, and relaxed. At first, I was like... Oh F my life, F my life, F my life, and I wanted to shit a brick. lol... the instructors and the pilot ended up making me laugh and making fun of me, and we all got a good laugh, so it made me comfortable, and once we jumped, it was nothing but "oooh's and aaahhh's" from there. It was amazing!! My hubby and I are definitely thinking about going again sometimes in the near future, and I cant wait till we do it again! My husband liked his instructor as well.
