Could you Skyjump?
Steffie S.

If you're looking for a unique, exhilarating experience- this is it! It's like you're a stunt person in a James Bond or Mission Impossible movie! I have parachuted, and feel the two experiences do not compare. When you willingly step off a platform from the top of a 108 story building WITHOUT a parachute, it's pretty darn scary. When you jump at 10,000 feet from an airplane, everything is so far away, you almost don't feel connected to the height. I highly recommend the Stratosphere jump. They were professional, thorough, explained exactly what to do, and how to stick the landing with bent knees. Check out this thrill of a lifetime!

Sunset jump

First off, I'm scared of heights. I spontaneously hopped on the monorail to Sahara station and was there in 25 minutes from Caesars. I booked this on the spot and my jump was literally right at sunset. I was nervous but not frightened getting ready. You won't face your inner fears until you step out onto that platform. The whole staff was great and encouraging especially the crew at the top prepping you. Things move quickly and probably more to focus you on the next task rather than what you are about to do. My suggestions: *Pay for the 360 video *Get the photos also *321 and GO!! don't think about it. -just GO, don't hesitate or you risk talking yourself out of it. *Think about the feeling you will have once your done and conquered it. Hundreds jump each week. It's safe, you are checked MULTIPLE TIMES. *Tuesday's are buy one get one free jumps. Appreciate the staff. Jump during Day Jump at Night Enjoy and just DO IT! NEVER in my life would I ever think I would have done something like this. I DID IT, glad I did and would do it again.

If you are a thrill seeker like me. Please do the jump it is TOTALLY worth it. 5 stars because the staff was super friendly and helpful not only that but they double triple check your equipment before jumping. Can I give a HUGE shoutout to the guy who talked me into doing this jump I forgot his name but he's in the first picture of my review. I wanted to back out after actually looking down but he helped me face my fear by allowing me to go off the platform backwards. Once I started free falling I felt so alive !. Thank you again skyjump Las Vegas for making this one memorable

Getting ready for one of the scariest things I've ever done.

What an adrenaline rush. I am so afraid of heights and I did this to prove to myself I can do anything if I put my mind to it. The staff was great. The worst part for me was standing up there looking down and it set in when the guy said when I count to 3..jump. I am so glad I did it. I'm 69 and after the jump a young man came up to me and said I was his hero. His son also jumped but the Dad was so impressed I did it I think he was going to do it as well..wish I knew if he did.

Suited up to jump at the Strat in Las Vegas.

For Thanksgiving I jumped 829 the feet (108th floor) of the Strat #skyjump & fell at speeds topping 40 mph from the Guinness World Record holding decelerator. What a trip! Only complaint is that it ended so quick. I am local so I will be jumping again very soon.

Wow this is quite an experience, and no- not for everyone..... Let's go!!! - Booked online ahead of my trip to LV - Did this mid-day, and didn't seem super-busy - The most important people in the building are the staff, and yes- felt safe and secure getting suited up + the multiple checkpoints to make sure everything is all set Ok so details/details: - You go to an area located in what appears to be a highly vacated retail area of the Strat (it is depressing to see actually) - Once you get strapped in, you walk to the elevator that takes you to the top (108 floor) - And yes, once you get to the top, reality sits in! - There was no wait for us, and I was up first! - You head into a glass enclosed area (of which you can see the massive cable that controls your jump) - I anticipated the outdoor ledge to be bigger than what it was, and walking outside (to it) was terrifying - Basically what this comes down to is mind over matter....as this is SUCH an UNNATURAL thing to do! - My sense is that the longer you delay your jump, the harder it is! - So yeah, the countdown was quick (3-2-1) and yes, I just jumped off the platform! Bottom line: - This isn't for everyone - It is terrifying to stand on a ledge 108 floors above the ground - They couldn't have picked a better spot, as this is lined up directly looking at the strip - Once you jump, you are good to go (as it is a controlled jump), and fun! Good luck with your decision to do this (or not)......I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

What's more exhilarating than seeing the city from 108 floors above the world-famous Las Vegas Strip? Jumping off it. Strap in and face your fear as you jump off the side of the Tower at The STRAT. I say NOPE!!! The Observation Deck was shaking from the thrill ride above. It felt like an earth quack.

WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!!!! I couldn't stop smiling!!! The staff was really nice and helpful in explaining everything. Granted, I couldn't stand still and was ready to jump the second I reached the top. They were very good about ensuring you were safe, but you also felt safe. Each step of the way, they double-checked your harness and ropes, etc. They signed off on each step, and communication was amazing. There were a couple of nervous people, reat about answering all of their questions but they were great at making sure everyone was safe and happy. I ended up paying extra for the GoPro and made sure and did my research on how to get the best quality video. I asked them for their advice, and they told me to try and keep it upright, and they told me not to look down...but I did anyway and it didn't scare me. I wanted to turn right back and jump again if I could. If you are looking for something fun to do in Vegas, you HAVE to try this. Totally worth every penny. I would suggest you get the GoPro and make sure you bend your hand so it's facing you. Also, you can move the GoPro outward so you get a video of Vegas, but don't forget to point it towards you so you get your face and reaction. Also I would suggest doing it at night so you get that beautiful light view

After the jump!

BEST THRILL IN VEGAS! I was looking for a thrilling activity in Vegas this trip and I finally sucked it up and jumped off the Strat. It. was. exhilarating!!! The hardest part is stepping off the edge. After that it is just pure rush and joy! The employees were all so great and professional. They were optimistic and patient as well as informative and encouraging. They do an assuring job at making sure you're are safe and strapped securely. At least 4 different employees check and/tightened my harness from the minute I stepped into it to the second I jumped. They talk you through everything as they are doing it, making sure you are safe. PS You don't fall as fast as you think you will. There is no free fall. The minute you jump you immediately feel the tug on your harness. It's not as bad as you think it'll be. As long as you take that first step. ;)

It's not even scary just do it. Sky jump was an amazing experience from check in to the jump. The staff makes you feel safe and they definitely know what they are doing. The jump was so much fun!! I would definitely do it again!

Justin S.

THIS IS A MUST DO FOR THRILL SEEKERS! I go all around the world to experience some of the best thrills and this is one of them. Now as far as the speed of the jump, it is controlled all the way up to the end, surprisingly. Yes it is fairly expensive for the amount of time you it takes to complete but it is SOOO WORTH IT!!! ENJOY IT!!

Inside the Stratosphere, arrows showing the way!

WOW!! First and foremost, I'd like to thank ALL the men and women who assisted in this jump. Their professionalism and SERIOUS attention to detail certainly DID NOT go unnoticed. When you do something like this (controlled or NOT) mistakes can happen. Despite my adrenaline rushes, I definitely took special notice on how well trained each & every technician was. They check n recheck, EVERYTHING. And if someone if FREAKING out, they simply ask, "Okay, do you want to stop now?" I think it takes a special type of personality to do this job. Sure, it can be rewarding. But I couldn't help but notice a lot of ungrateful attitudes flying around. The jump itself is 1,000 feet up. You fall at approximately 45 mph, you wear a harness that's connected to 3 ropes and they come together like a pyramid and at that point a thick industrial cable is clipped into place. (If you look it up on YouTube, you'll see the cable). The cable is very impressive and just looking at it you know it's well maintained and cared for. My sense of time was warped, due to the adrenaline but this is NOT a THRILL SEEKING adventure. It's the view, and the lack of obstacles that really steals your breath away. Even the most myopic personality, will suddenly think to themselves "NOW THAT'S ONE HELL OF A VIEW."

I learned about GoJump from Groupon but had some follow-up questions. They have a text line where you can send them your questions, and they always responded within 1-2 minutes. They are super responsive :). GoJump was actually a little more expensive than other skydiving companies that we were looking at, but based on their availability and customer service, I was happy to go with GoJump. They also have a shuttle from Vegas (pickup by Excalibur) for $18 round trip, which is much more affordable than taking an Uber there. If you do want to purchase the Groupon, you have to call them to schedule, but they will also honor the Groupon directly - so no middleman (I would highly recommend booking directly). Unfortunately, as I mentioned, the actual skydiving didn't happen, but we were given the option to reschedule or get a refund. We were only in town for a short stint, so rescheduling wasn't an option, but getting the full refund is much appreciated, as that isn't something that all companies do. I also appreciate that they gave advanced notice for the cancellation so that we could plan the rest of our Vegas trip right away instead of waking up early and waiting around an airport only to have wasted half the day. Yes, we were bummed to hear that the trip was cancelled, but I get that weather is finicky and safety comes first. GoJump handled everything professionally and I commend them for that.

I'm not going to lie, when they tell you to put your feet on the edge of the platform, it's frightening... even more so for me than skydiving... but so worth the satisfaction you get from jumping off the 108th story of a skyscraper. Get the dog fighting package. You do that three times, and actually get to fly the plane yourself for 3-5 minutes. It's wild. These planes are capable of 10G, F16s can only do 9G. They were built to simulate experience for fighter pilots. Flying the plane is the best. You will never get a chance to do this anywhere else, since it doesn't exist. The "bombing run" through Red Rock canyon is unreal too. Doesn't seem like these planes should be able to do the things they can do on any axis on the sky. Total paradigm shift in the mind when you are accustomed to driving a car on a flat surface. Tip: I was worried about the motion sickness, but took a couple of Meclizine pills an hour before which I recommend, especially if you are going for the hard core experience. Pilots can sense your limits though and keep things at the intensity level you request.

Staff and facilities were great, and they are located at the North Las Vegas Airport. Overall, it was a very thrilling and fun experience for her. Her only negative comment was that her flight was scheduled for 11am and she showed up at 1030am as required, however, she waited over 2 hours and 15 minutes before she finally got up in the air and was really not provided any reason while she was waiting for the delay (she was thinking they may have been short either a plane or pilot). Overall, she recommends the experience and had a great time.

There is a roomy indoor waiting area with a variety of seating, including stools with power outlets. The restroom was pretty large and clean, better than the one at the JSX (the semi-private airline) terminal. There is also seating in an outdoor patio with views of the helicopter launch area. Since I booked the earliest of these short tours, the terminal was quiet and check-in was seamless and kind. Every passenger is weighed at check-in to balance the weight on the helicopter. You have the option of requesting a front row seat ($30); you are charged if and when you are upgraded. I unfortunately did not make the cut, but I ended up being very satisfied with my rear window seat behind the pilot. Our copter had 2 seats in front, 4 in the rear. Some of the other copters have 3 front/4 rear seats: I think these are the ones that go to the Grand Canyon. We watched a safety video in the terminal, then boarded a shuttle for the brief ride to the helicopter. A photographer and the pilot accompanied us. Your photo is taken outside the copter before boarding. The seats have noise-cancelling headphones you can wear; they have music playing. The ride was smooth and quick. You basically go north on the east side of the Strip, make a U-turn just north of Downtown, then head south on the west side of the Strip. You can see every hotel on the Strip and Downtown, plus The Sphere, the High Roller Ferris wheel, T-Mobile Arena and Allegiant Stadium. Back at the terminal, your photo and a flight certificate are available for purchase. I did give the pilot a gratuity, others on my flight (all were non-American) did not. The company offers a myriad of tours--Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and more. Some of the Strip tours have added perks like a meal or foodie tour; the basic tour I took can include transportation to and from your hotel if you choose. Recommended.

Often times, only people frustrated with…read moresomething will bother to write a negative review, but those with a positive (or expected) experience will not write a review. So it always tends to be skewed and you have to take reviews with a grain of salt, so I was hopeful that would be the case for us and we wouldn't experience the problems that others have. Just as several others have mentioned here, our flight was cancelled the day of, after we arrived. We booked SEVEN months in advance, paid in full ~ $1200 for family of four. We arrive 30 minutes prior as instructed. They tell us, sorry, we have mechanical issues, so you are cancelled. They say, we tried to call you (we received no call because, guess what, cell service is not the best around the south rim of the grand canyon...). We said, we have seen at least 4 helicopters flying, how about canceling someone else, how do you select? Did everybody else here book 7+ months ago? Who is prioritized? The reality is they overbooked, and because we paid 7 months previous, we paid less (I looked, their prices went up since we had booked). So I guess we were the easy choice to cancel... They offered to rebook the next day, yet they know that nearly nobody can accomodate this, so it is a hollow offer where they know they can "do their part to try to rectify", but also know that nearly everybody would then just cancel, and the problem takes care of itself. Great business model... Everybody that is going to book a helicopter trip over the grand canyon is there on vacation, and nobody is staying anywhere near grand canyon village or the location of this airport. It is an hour drive just from Williams and the main road, one way. Anyone who books this is driving in from Sedona or Vegas or Phoenix for a half/one day trip, and vacation days/time is precious. Its not as though you can just go do something else nearby and wait until the next day... We had one window of time planned, and the time of this flight was it. I suppose that is why they do not really care about customer service, or screwing someone last minute. Its not like they are planning for repeat customers really... Kids were beyond disappointed. The build-up and excitement, only to be completely let down last minute. They cried as we were walking out and leaving because the talk of the helicopter ride was happening for months prior. And now to the refund. The girl at the counter said the refund would take 7-10 days. Ok, thats typical, whatever. 12 days goes by, no refund. E-mail and call. They respond and say that, because its been more then 6 months, we cannot refund back to your card. We can either ACH (and attached a form) or send a check. I respond to tell then to send a check. Who in their right mind is going to provide their bank account number and routing number into a microsoft word file and e-mail it back? Fast forward ~ 21 days. Still no check. So send another e-mail (haven't called yet because that is a whole other experience...). I receive and e-mail back, not a response to my e-mail, but a carbon copy of the first one sent 9 days prior saying I can use ACH or check. Um, huh? So here we are now, still no refund. Fortunately, since we were heading to Vegas that day (was supposed to be right after our helicopter flight), we booked with Maverick for a helicopter flight over Las Vegas the next day. $450 for family of four, and the experience was excellent all around. I'd recommend Maverick, and avoid this company.

I usually select a Porsche because that's what I own so I don't have to familiarize myself with the controls and feel of the car. However, starting with a GT4RS was a mistake. My nickname as a motorcycle racer was "The Old, Slow Man". Equipped with semi-slicks, I was wasting the performance of the car with my tentative, senior citizen driving. I'd been faster in this model on a prior visit. I continued to struggle with turn 3 and for some reason I lost my feel for turn 10. Doing well on both are key to decent lap times. Alas, I finished my stint in the Porsche feeling down ... Is it true that the older you get, the slower you go? It seemed so to me. I waited a bit for a C8 to return to the pits, relaxing on a sofa, people watching. Sam was my pro in the C8, his style was more conducive to me turning better laps. He offered clear instructions, 3-2-1 BRAKE, turn in, 20% throttle, more throttle, give it the gas! As a result, I was seven seconds faster in the C8 than I was in the GT4RS. Sam told me I should have started with the C8, it's easier to drive. The next time, I will start with the C8 and move on to a more track-focused car. Lesson learned! The experience cost $801.90 for the two cars, $86.90 for the videos, and $100 in tips. Highly recommended!
