Great change of pace for people in Vegas on vacation. It's a nice chance to get close to nature, and get up really close (as in touching close) to camels, zebras, porcupines, sloths. We also did the UTV tour which was a fun experience for those who like off-roading and making big dust clouds lol

Fun day feeding Camels, Alpacas, and an African Crested Porcupine! Camel Safari is near Mesquite and it borders the river. Took about 1.5 hours to drive from Henderson. It's a few minutes off the highway, but feels pretty remote and sits on about 176 acres of land. I rode a tram and one of the family dogs was hanging out with me. There was even a Sloth, Zedonk, Horses, a Goat, and Alpacas, plus a Llama. There were two camel babies only a couple of weeks old. It was cute seeing them walk around. I would recommend driving an SUV or a higher profile vehicle because the road is not paved. No food nearby, so bring water and snacks.

Absolutely recommend this place for fun! Camel Safari is located in Bunkerville, Nevada, about a little over an hour from Las Vegas, just 10 minutes from Mesquite. When you get off from I-15, you drive a few miles still on a paved road, then follow the GPS direction to turn right. This road is not paved, but totally "off road" and it's about 0.8 miles long. I have an SUV and I still drove very slowly on this road! When you arrive, park immediately on the designated area, and don't try to get closer! Camels are walking around freely, you don't want to injure them! Employees will be greeting you and instructing you where to go next. According to the tour you signed up for, you either go for a camel ride or an UTV ride. Either way you'll have fun! Bring plenty of water/beverages, snacks! They will give you bottled water but you may need more! There is no restaurant in this place. Restrooms are in the big building! Next time I would bring masks or something to cover my face because it is very dusty, especially when it's windy. We had an UTV tour, and it was very nice, especially going down to the Virgin River! Seeing other animals was fun too, the zebra, the porcupine, the alpaca! All employees, tour operators were very nice and friendly! I'm already planning to come back to do the camel ride! I hope I will have the courage to do it!

Whether you are a local looking for something fun to do or a tourist enjoying Vegas or Mesquite, this trip is worth making. This is not a zoo with animals in small cages, it is a massive preserve where magnificent 1 ton camels roam free (as well as alpacas, dingos, sloths, porcupines and llamas). You will get very close to these beautiful creatures - you will feed them, pet them, have them smell your cologne. The owner clearly loves and has a personal passion for his animals and it is clear that they love him back. Make a trip, you won't be sorry!

If you're visiting Mesquite or Las Vegas and looking for something a little out of the ordinary to do, check out the Camel Safari! It's a highly interactive, memorable and unique adventure that you won't soon forget. When we first booked our five hour tour, I was a little hesitant. What would we do for five hours? But believe me, the time goes quickly and you won't ever be bored, especially if you like animals and education. The biggest attraction appeared to be the camel rides, which they are no longer doing. But there are still plenty of opportunities to get up close and personal with them, even if you can't ride on them. Instead of riding the camels, each party was assigned a golf cart, which my wife had a blast driving around. Our tour guide, and owner of the facility, was with us the entire time. It was apparent that he loves his animals and takes good care of them-being a tourist attraction is lower in priority to taking care of his animals. The activities felt less scripted and rehearsed and more like we were along for the ride while he did his routine daily chores. We watched while Guy fed the camels their hay and he educated us on all things camels. He answered our many questions along the way as well. We also visited the porcupine, who enthusiastically ate a bowl of fruit while we causally sat nearby, watching. After the tour and feeding, it was time for lunch. Another staffer asked about food allergies and then went to prepare our meal while we hung out with Ambien, the two-toed sloth. She was much more active than I anticipated a sloth to be. We then enjoyed a lovely picnic under the trees with the other folks on the tour. There was plenty of food-we couldn't finish it all! But I was reassured that nothing went to waste-if we didn't finish our lunch, the animals will. After lunch, Guy brought out his favorite camel, Norman, who let us pet him and love on him. He's very gentle and photogenic. We wrapped up our adventure and each person received a cute stuffed camel to take home. I would recommend this tour for adults and older children who prefer a low key, slow paced activity. Younger children might get bored, unless they really like animals. This is also not a scripted, super polished activity. There were plenty of times when it was more "choose your own adventure" than planned out. While that may not be everyone's cup of tea, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Camels right outside of Vegas! Always followed them on social media and found ourselves in the area so we decided to book a tour (which you do online). Off a dirt road, you find this place. We were immediately greeted by a tour in progress. We were invited to hop on the tram, so off we went! Camels, camels, camels! So much room to roam and play. I've seen them in typical zoo settings but they are HUGE up close! You also get to meet some llamas and a sloth. You can pet a camel (Norman) and feed a porcupine (Thorn). There are also the cutest dogs on the property who love to hang out with you. We brought our almost 2 year old and he had a blast. We did the tram tour. Such a fun time. Highly recommend.

Such an awesome tour! 1-1/2 hours away from Vegas. Ally our tour guide was so informative and friendly. Had a wonderful time interacting with the animals. Would totally recommend this tour.

Super cool and very educational experience! Way more than just riding in a tram and looking at the animals, we were able to get up close and personal! The owner was very nice and communicative as well as very personable. You can definitely tell he takes really good care of the animals. He goes the extra mile with making sure guests enjoy the experience! Would definitely come back again!

When I'm Vegas, this place is WORTH the hour drive to check this place out!!! The girlfriend and I booked our tour through the company and had a blast. There are many things to do when visiting Las Vegas, so we wanted to do something different... When we arrived there, looked like we were lost (LoL). The drive is down a dirt road before arriving at the gate. You know you are there when, of course, you see camels. Met by our tour guide Alex, which she gave us great info and history about the camels. Took a nice camel ride around the property which was led and guided by the owner and 2 employees. After the ride (30-35min) we returned back to (lodge) and had the opportunity to view some of the other animals on property. We got to get up close with a sloth, opossum, and a very cute and chubby porcupine... and a couple of armadillos too. Overall, the experience was great. You can tell that the owner and employees really love and care for those beautiful animals.

This was a good time. I love camels and they have many bactrian and dromedary camels. We loved all the helpful information from the owner and the zoologist. Definitely worth a visit if you love animals!

Amazing experience, we booked the baby otter encounter and had the absolute best time. We got to see camels, horses, lamas, the sloth and get up close and personal with the porcupine thorn and the New Guinea singing dogs and lastly of course the baby otters. The owner was absolutely amazing and very accommodating, we will definitely be back.

I cannot recommend this highly enough. Our guide, Kelly, had old pictures and knew so much of this history of Old Las Vegas. It was amazing!! He told us where to get affordable water (ABC stores) and why ABC stores (which are Hawaii-based stores) are around, took us through the history of so many hotels and the highlights. We did this in December, so I am sure it is a lot hotter in the summer, but there is a lot of indoor space. I'd still recommend a water bottle. All of us loved learning and he was a great story teller. You go all the way down to Container Park and get some coupons and restaurant tip sheet at the end. You will be on your feet for two hours so wear comfy shoes. But we actually would consider staying down in "old Las Vegas" the next time we come, all because of this tour.

My husband booked us a food tour and when he told me my expectations were not high. I've been to food tasting in the past but due to being a pescatarian, I usually left hungry and had to stop somewhere after to get food. That was not the case with Lip Smacking Foodie Tours. The took us to Carson Kitchen, La Mona Rosa, Oak & Ivy, Le Thai. We had food and drinks at Carson Kitchen, La Mona Rosa, and Le Thai and each place brought out multiple dishes to try. Oak & Ivy was a drink only and it was one of the best Mules we ever had. My husband loved every dish at each restaurant and I was brought out separate pescatarian/vegetarian version of the same dishes. When I tell you we weren't hungry the rest of the day, I'm not exaggerating. Throughout the tour, we also learned interesting fact about the area and the community. I am so happy we went on the tour and got to explore an area we probably wouldn't have went to and tried multiple restaurants. The drive from Vegas is an hour long straight shot up the I-15, once you do get into Moapa drive slow and carefully. There are a lot of speed traps waiting for visitors and the last portion of the drive here is windy and unpaved. Definitely not the most visitor friendly drive. There are lots of activities to do here and they offer several wristband packages to bundle experiences. We opted for the white wristbands ($34/pp) which include all general admission activities, the haunted maze, the haunted hayride and 2 turns at the corn shot. The maze had about a 30-45 minute wait when we got there and the wait got longer from there, but in my opinion it was worth it. We had some good screams and laughs and got through the maze pretty quickly. The haunted hayride honestly was a dud, but it was nice to sit down for a while after standing so long for the maze. They could honestly just stick to a regular fall themed hayride. They also had a bunch of other activities that were included in general admission ($12) like swings, pig races, a small petting zoo, and more. There was plenty to do, but in the future I would probably save a little bit of money and only opt into the maze. I was a bit disappointed in the food selection here. They catered very heavily towards fall fair like desserts, but didn't offer much in terms of actual food. We still did order the fried apple slices and a deep fried cheesecake, along with a couple of hotdogs. I was sorely disappointed by the apples slices because there just tasted like fried dough, the apple almost disintegrated and disappeared after the frying process. The cheesecake was good but incredibly decadent and is best shared between two people. The hotdogs were run of the mill, thin and unimpressive. I added cheese to mine and the bun was so thin it fell apart immediately. For the price per dog, I would have expected Hebrew Nationals. The pumpkin patch was a bit of a long walk away from everything else and by about 10pm we couldn't find too many good pumpkins. We opted to pick some corn instead and I have to give it to them, that corn was sooooo sweet and delicious once cooked. It was definitely a fun night, but with HalloweenTown in Boca Park available in the future I'll probably save gas and stay in town.
