We were not aware of the secondary agreement requirement and ran into problems at check in and had our access delayed. The Airbnb is perfectly located near Zion National Park. The rooms could use some maintenance considering the price point. We were missing shampoo in the shower and the sink was completely loose as pictured. We enjoyed the private hot tub outside our wagon along with the private kitchen and fireplace area.

Drive to the gated area to the right of the main entrance roadway and they will peacefully look at you or ignore you. They posed wonderfully for photos! There is a mini general store for food provisions, clothing and more. Very friendly lady working in there. One can pick up their swimming towels for their warm swimming pool and hot tubs nearby. There are showers and even an adults only hot tub area. There will is also more fast food dining options and gas stations nearby. Located about 15 minutes to Zion Park and the other direction to LaVerkin. Lots of hiking and dirt roads to explore nearby, too.

They picked us up from our hotel, made several stops including clean bathroom breaks and couple gift shops. Overall, the tour was amazing. Although we only spent 45 minutes at a horseshoe Bend, we were able to take some awesome pictures and walk around. But definitely the highlight was Antelope Canyon. You can only go on a tour here with the Navajo guide and our guide Ray was fantastic. We spent about 1.5 hours at lower Antelope Canyon. He really made the tour fun, informative, and he took the best pictures. The photos do not do it justice. The experience was just unreal. Each term that we took we were in awe. The downside was our tour guide Brandon. Although he was very friendly, he didn't seem that knowledgeable. Maybe he was having an off day but there were a couple times that he stopped mid sentence while telling a fact and even ended a fun fact with blah blah blah to finish up his sentence. At one point, he even started chewing on a candy or something while hooked up to the microphone. This was really annoying. We still had a very great day just a couple things that didn't make it a five star experience. Did you have a lot of options for tours and their office is located centrally in the uptown area.

The hotel looked more like a ski resort with cozy cabins and the views it had to offer from each room were just breathtaking, specially with the sound of the Virgin river running along the entire property added to the magic of this place. The rooms were very clean with every amenities one would need for a comfortable stay. The front desk staff were the warmest and friendliest I have recently encountered, catering to our every need as well as giving us useful advice on activities and places to eat and visit. Definitely will be back!

However, the Desert Pearl is well-deserving of a positive review. I first discovered this place 26 years ago, and I estimate that I have stayed here 20 times over the years. Over 26 years, never once have I been disappointed. I have recommended this place countless times to my family and friends. For starters, the rooms have a rustic modern style with expansive balconies or patios that include Adirondack chairs for relaxing while taking in the views of the red mountains, which are right in front of you. When awaking in the morning, simply roll up the shades, and you can enjoy the sunrise on the mountains while in bed or while having a cup of coffee on the loveseat in the seating area. The kitchenette is a nice addition, especially on hiking days. You can make yourself a simple breakfast prior to your morning hike(s). On lazier days, the addition of the restaurant was a major upgrade within the past few years. One request for management: The coffeemakers could use an upgrade to full-sized models with additional coffee mugs also stocked. However, I will note the availability of a small drawer-type dishwasher that is also included in the kitchenette. Location: The DPI is conveniently located in Springdale with a shuttle stop right in front of the hotel. There are many restaurant, shopping, and art/photo galleries located easily within walking distance. The entrance to Zion National Park is just a short shuttle ride (1mile) to the visitor's center or short car ride to the entrance to the park. I appreciate management's ability to maintain the beauty of the rooms and grounds over the years. The pool and spa are always in great shape. Electric vehicle parking spots have also been added. One future upgrade request: I like the bathroom design with separate sink/closet area and separate shower/toilet area. The pocket sliding doors are also a nice space-saving feature. However, I would like to see a shower makeover to a larger, more modern walk-in design rather than a tub and shower curtain (I do appreciate the curved curtain rod to gain space.) design. Overall, I rate this 5-stars. The Desert Pearl is truly one of my favorite hotels of all time. I look forward to my next visit!

Denise Wood, the General Manager has assembled a staff that rivals any high priced resort. The staff went out of its way to ensure our comfort, especially at the front desk who helped with our early check-in. Our room was modern, spacious, quiet and clean. First impressions…read morewere great - we were checked in at the front desk by the charismatic "Mr. Rock n Roll" who got us all squared away and asked if we needed any recommendations for anything in the area, provided us a map dotted with local eateries and general directions to and around the Park. Our room was on the ground floor with two queen beds, a beautiful view across the parking lot of the red rocks and easy access to and from the parking lot (which was much appreciated since it was super cold and started to flurry overnight and into the next day). The room itself was spacious and clean, the fridge worked really well (almost TOO well - it froze our drinks!), everything was well stocked. We utilized the jacuzzi one evening despite it being in the 30s, which was clean and relaxing after a long day of travel and hiking around. The only drawback we experienced during our stay was regarding the breakfast situations during the two mornings we were there. Apparently there was an emergency floor repair in the kitchen which meant they were unable to access it to prepare the continental spread that Hampton Inn is so well-known for. Instead, each morning there were stacks of brown takeaway boxes pre-filled with different food selections, which were displayed at the front of the dining room, but the boxes were not clearly marked so people were having to open them to examine the contents of each box. The staff members were absolutely not to blame - they were running around the dining room constantly, checking on guests and seeing what they could bring out from the back to ensure everyone had what they wanted and needed. For kids, they were running back and finding cold cereal, juices, etc. If there was a vegetarian, they were finding options (i.e. frozen potato and egg breakfast burritos) for them, too. They had brought in extra microwaves to accommodate everyone having to warm their own food. I heard a few guests grumbling but the staff remained warm and friendly. One staff member in particular, Annette, deserves special recognition. She was answering everyone's questions, letting them know the repair was unfortunately expected to take 3 weeks, and that they were only 2 days into their new "routine" so they only expected it to get better and run smoother as they got into their rhythm. When our 6-year-old decided she didn't like anything on offer one of the mornings and was getting antsy, Annette walked her over to the front desk and let her pick out a coloring book to keep her occupied while mom and dad finished their breakfasts. Thank you, Annette, for helping us keep our sanity! Overall, you just can't beat the value for the price, the proximity to the Park and everything else there is to see in Springdale and Zion. We had a wonderful stay here and would absolutely stay again.
