This is a really nice place for a night out. I tried a cocktail with watermelon juice, and it was very refreshing, although the pieces of watermelon made it a bit difficult to sip the cocktail through the straw. As an appetizer, we were given a bowl of rice chips for free, which was a nice gesture. The service was good, and in general, the atmosphere was very pleasant. While we waited for our order, we were able to enjoy live singing, music, and dessert presentations at nearby tables. However, everything was fine until they brought us the food. We ordered the duck, salmon, and sakura dessert, but they were really disappointing. The flavors were completely unbalanced, and the level of execution did not meet my expectations at all. For example, the salmon was dry and too sweet, as if it had just been covered in a store-bought sauce, and the vegetables that were supposed to balance the fish were tasteless. I couldn't even eat half of my meal. The same applied to the dessert - the presentation was interactive, and it looked good, but the taste was not balanced at all. The dessert had different textures, but the acidity of the fruit completely overpowered the sweet ingredients. Due to the poor quality of the food, I deducted one star, but I still recommend this place. Most likely, we ordered not the most popular items and therefore received such dishes. The ambiance on the other side is extremely tastefully done and well executed. I tried their $27 lunch special and what a great price for a three course meal! However, everything tasted just ok. The miso soup was flavorful, the crispy tuna was average, and the bao buns don't mix well with veal. The waiters seemed a little lost and hard to track down for any request. We ordered a variety of dishes like the Asian burger, miso salmon, lo mein. All were very delish and flavorful. On top of that the restaurant is very decorative and great for birthdays and gatherings. Highly recommend place. Just a heads up, they charge a $25 cover fee post 10pm on Friday and Saturday I believe because they have performances. My reservation was for 6pm however due to their slow elevator we weren't able to get upstairs till 6:15 when we did we weren't even greeted there was this rude host who just honestly wasn't pleasant at all . Once we got seated it took over 30 mins for a waiter to even bring us water after requesting 3 times . I was so irritated I didn't even want to order food I just wanted to leave . The only good thing about the place is it's great for photos and being that they took so long I was able to get a bunch . Everything was great. Our waiter Bruce took the time to explain the menu and answer all of our questions. He checked on us numerous times and made the experience great. It's my first experience with Sky restaurant. I ordered beef tartare appetizer which was absolutely wrong with preparation. It's not about quality , it's about how it was done.
