Had sushi here and I enjoyed them. This is my first time ordering Chinese food and they did not disappoint. Their cold sesame noodle was rich and the hint of spice was on point. I loved the green jade. Will 100% be coming back for that! It was really seasoned well and delicious. The hibachi chicken was excellent and the veggies on the side were really really good. It was a touch salty but overall excellent aside from that. The general Tso's wings were really good as well. They were sweet and Flavorful. The rib hibachi was too chewy. I wouldn't get that again, but I would come back literally for everything else! I really did enjoy everything else I ate and will be coming back to try more items. Editing my review in 2022 to say that the fish is still super fresh and delicious! And I really appreciate the inexpensive prices compared to the rest of sheepshead bay! This place is pretty good, just have to avoid a few dishes. Fried pork dumplings are good. Wonton soup is better than your average Chinese take out. (Wish it has a few more wontons in it). The boneless spareribs are amongst the best I have had. As for the sushi, I only had a simple eel cucumber roll but it was good. Large pieces and a higher percentage of eel than many places. Any kind of battered chicken like Sesame chicken / pineapple chicken should be avoided as its mostly batter and a bit hard. The tiramisu isnt terrible but I can't say I recommend it. It was kinda just sitting in a puddle of coffee. Needs more ladyfingers. read more

We Yelped sushi restaurants in the area and Asian King got some great reviews. A short walk later brought us to this local restaurant for an early dinner. We sampled several dishes including: * Scallion Pancakes $5.95 * Pork Dumpling $6.95 * Shumai $5.25 * Sake Don (not on the menu) $16.95 - see photo * And a Vegetable House Fried Rice Overall, we thought the dinner was excellent. The Sake Don was fresh, tasty and substantial. The Scallion Pancakes were outstanding, hot and very crispy. Was in the mood for some Chinese food, and decided to give Asian King a try at the suggestion of an acquaintance. We only tried Chinese food and no sushi (plan to come back and see what the sushi is like). We ordered the orange chicken, shrimp with grilled vegetables and pineapple fried rice. The orange chicken and shrimp were delicious. However, I was not a fan of the pineapple fried rice. They used some sauce or some spices that I did not enjoy and was not what I was used to in a pineapple fried rice I usually get at various places. The service was great. The wait was definitely a little long but we were compensated with a free large sake on the house because of the wait. Also, the food came out very fresh after our wait. Will def be back to try the sushi and indulge in some Chinese again. read more

I don't know how this place has so many good reviews but here's a real one. Came here with a party of six last week. Not a single customer in the restaurant except us which is usually a bad sign on a Saturday night. For starters, the waitress took over 25 minutes to even come to us and ask us what we would like to order even though we put our menus down a long time ago. Second of all, there is zero ambience in this place. The whole place is blasted with white LED lights, two TVs that show absolutely nothing other than the Verizon logo bouncing around, and no music. I felt like I was in a sterile hospital room. Finally the food arrived and though it was not bad, it was the most bland tasting food I have ever had in my life and it was impossible to spice it up. If a restaurant can't get a chicken chow fun dish or a lo mein dish correct, that's usually very scary. When we asked for spicy Chinese mustard, they literally handed us a bottle of American Gluden mustard. Not coming back here and I would highly suggest you do the same. read more

This is the new hot spot of sheepshead bay, at least for me. Something different, sushi, Thai and Chinese all in one for all those groups with different taste, which worked out perfect today. This place is excellent. My husband and I decided to go for a casual dinner and remember this new place opened up. Their sushi was VERY fresh and it was so surprising because now-a-days you can't get great sushi in Brooklyn. They have Poke bowls and burritos as well! Everything was delicious and they are spacious with many booths. The manager was very sweet she even took some sake shots with us. My only suggestion, which I have already shared with the manager is that they should dim the lights just a tad because it was kind of bright in their and took away from the nice dinner feel. very satisfied and definitely will be ordering/visiting more from here! read more

If i could remove stars from this place I would. It takes 20 minutes for them to even acknowledge that you're waiting to order and another 40 minutes for a simple sushi order to come out for pick up. I absolutely love this restaurant! From the friendly staff to the great service and the great food it is a must try. Have not had a bad dish yet and the lychee japanese soda is so good. The interior is beautiful and clean and this location used to be the plaster gallery where I had attended plenty if parties as a kid back in the day. You are given unlimited hot green tea which is needed now that we are entering the cold days. They have both a chinese and japanese menu but the food does not suffer at all. We went here because of the good reviews and we honestly feel lied to. We asked for a table for three. The waiter looked at us confused. He also forgot to bring us plates or forks. We sat down wherever and grabbed chopsticks from another table. He told us to call him over when we're ready. We waited an hour for a kani salad and crab rangoon that looked like it came out of a package and was popped in the microwave. Definitely did not take an hour to make. It was so nice to be able to eat out again at my go to Japanese-Chinese Restaurant. I hadn't been there since right before the lockdown. It was such a pleasure to return!!! Food was very fresh and tasty. Service was great. Atmosphere was relaxed. I really like their big booth seating. They did the mandatory check in and temperature check. I felt safe and comfortable. I've ordered takeout the past 2 days and all the food has been fresh and delicious. I tried a pad thai lunch special. The noodles came with a good amounts of egg, bean sprouts, carrots and chicken, and they tasted like real pad thai -- savory and sweet with a hint of lime flavor. The food was hot even though I came 15 minutes later than they told me to. I also tried the salmon avocado and salmon skin sushi rolls, which were fresh as well. Service over the phone is very friendly. When you go to pick up, there's an entrance area where you get your food and pay, and there's hand sanitizer if you need. There aren't really good American Chinese takeout places in this area besides this one, so I'm really glad someone suggested this place to me. Several months thereafter I revisited Asian King and since then have on numerous occasions ordered a diversity of Chinese appetizers and entrees. It has put its act together. I'm pleased to report that all of the dishes my wife and I have ordered are well prepared and delicious. There is only one duck dish on its menu. Regrettably it contains no duck breast. Wouldn't it be nice if it offered a duck dish comprised solely of slices of duck breast. And it would be nice if it made shrimp and/or crab dumplings. Do give Asian King a try.
