I had a disappointing and honestly concerning experience at ARA Guns. It took almost 15 minutes…read morebefore anyone acknowledged me or asked if I needed help. I eventually asked whether they were hiring and was told they didn't have any openings, which is completely fair. I stayed to browse their selection, and while I was there, an employee handed a customer a KRISS Vector. The stock was folded, and afterward they couldn't figure out how to reopen it. Three employees and two customers examined it without being able to operate it correctly. I have never owned, handled, or operated a KRISS Vector, but I offered to look at it and opened the stock in roughly three seconds without instructions or assistance. At that point, my honest thought was: Are you sure you aren't hiring? Because I apparently understood the firearm better than the employees actively presenting it to a customer. If a gun store chooses to carry a particular firearm, especially one with a less conventional design, its employees should understand its basic controls, features, and proper order of operations before placing it into a customer's hands. That knowledge should not be improvised in front of the customer. There should be a clear process for safely demonstrating every firearm the store sells, and employees who are unfamiliar with a model should receive training before handling or presenting it. This is not merely about looking unprofessional. Firearms are not ordinary retail products, and a lack of basic product knowledge can become a serious safety issue. Watching multiple employees struggle with the basic operation of a firearm they were demonstrating felt careless and potentially negligent. Not having a position available wasn't the problem. The lack of customer acknowledgment, product familiarity, and apparent operating procedures was the problem. Frankly, I should probably have been given a chance over the clowns who couldn't operate a firearm they were actively showing to a customer. I walked in hoping to learn more about the business and possibly find an employment opportunity; I walked out questioning whether the employees had been properly trained on the products they sell

I too, am a fan of firearms but have always stuck to Springfield Armory for the most part. Well, that will change very soon. Beretta firearms are world renown, everyone knows that. But the level of service we received blew us away. I mean, here we were, two guys dressed in shorts and tshirts walking in to a luxurious boutique yet we were treated like friends. Even after knowing that my friend wouldn't be buying anything due to him visiting from the socialist state of California the gentleman behind the counter shared knowledge and stories with him and was so eager to engage in the lost art of conversation. He wasn't 'selling', he was having a conversation and was showing us all sorts of wonderful handguns and rifles. Their competition shotgun room is truly a site to behold. Very impressive. The boutique side has really nice casual and business clothing that was a bit more than I'd pay for dress shirts and ties but I did pick up a really nice quality study range bag for under 70 bucks which I thought was a deal. Buy your self some punches and watch on line YouTube videos and do the work yourself. Bedding jobs buy a magpul stock with aluminum bedding block and save money. Gun Smith are like barbers they run a clip joint. LOL LOL LOL Sell a good gun and they will offer you 30 cents on a dollar then mark it way up. Bolt action buy a Tikka 3x Pistol auto Smith Wesson. 1911 cheap and good 1911 rock island tactical. Shotguns only one mossberg. You use to be able to buy a 500 tactical 20 inch nine shot with ghost rings not any more you have to go with a 590. I hate the heat shield. The 88 is good but you might have to dry fire it a thousand times to smooth the action from hang ups. I also had to paint the barrel and stock the blue job is bad. Why the stock I bought a pistol grip stock so I painted it. I also bought a taller bead to true up the sights. You need to keep your expensive gun in a safe. Now the 590 you can add a magazine tube extension.
