I live in a neighboring city and thought it was worth the try. I wanted to sell one of my handguns and online info was they paid fair value for used guns? I went in on 9/23 about 1 or 1:15pm and waited at the Gunsmith counter. In about 5 minutes I was waved over to the counter. The first thing I noticed was the employee did not look like ex military so I thought maybe there were other staff in different jobs. I explained why I was there and handed the employee my S&W box my gun was still in, never fired and in the same box and contents from when I bought it. The employee pulled out the Semi Auto .40 caber and took a quick look and told me what my gun was?? He then said there is no demand for these and the best I could do is $50! I was shocked naturally by not only the offer but his less than friendly/or professional his approach was. I smiled and said wow the pawn shop in Lewisville offered me $150 and I thought they were getting to me? He responded we can't sell these on GunBroker because we can't get our money out of them! I told him that I had been on GunBroker that morning to see what they were selling for and there were NONE for sale as used, and there were 2 sellers with new ones at $299 each in other states. He closed out by saying we can't resell those??? Just for the record my gun is a S&W .40 CALIBER SD MODEL 4". It was purchased new for $329 in April and was never used or fired. I purchased a used .45 S&W about 6 weeks later because that is the gun I wanted but new they were very expensive in the metroplex. I paid half what a new one would cost. I was only hoping to get a fair price for the .40 since I had replaced it but I made a mistake of coming to your store! FYI I had two older brothers serv in the military years ago and have a strong respect for the military! I chose to go into Law Enforcement after school instead. I would like to say the facility is beautiful but is more expensive than 3 other DFW gun stores/ranges. At this time I can't say if I would go back to your store due to pricing but mainly due to the employee I dealt with. He was not professional and actually was almost rude! He dealt with me and dismissed me in under 2 minutes and no one was in line behind me. He had NO desire to keep me as a customer for your store! If you are looking for a high class gun store and range this may be your place. Hopefully you are not trying to sell a firearm and you don't get this employee that I got! The really bad part is I made 2 prior trips to TGE before yesterday only to be told the "buyer" was not there? The first time he was at a late lunch and to come back in an hour. We had to submit our IDs and read the full T&C in order be eligible to get in the range. They didn't rent googles and ear muffs, but they sold them for decent price. Ear muffs were $15, and goggles were only $5. After the registration process, then we moved to the gun rental area where a staff member showed us different pistols and riffles. He was very knowledgeable about different types of guns and ammo. He also gave us a detailed brief on how to hold and reload the guns. After all the paperwork and crash courses, finally we went able to walk to the range. It was indoor and super loud due so nearby parties using big guns like shotgun and snipers. But overall it was easy to control the poster hanger and shoot from the window. We had an hour to use all the ammo. Once our time was up, we took the items back to rental area. We got our IDs back once the return was complete. Then we when to the registration counter to pay our dues. We were group of 5 friends and the kind staff member allowed all of us to split the bill and pay equal amount. It came to $45 per person for 2 guns (rental), 70 bullets and goggles. It was very reasonable price in my opinion. Overall a solid gun range but got some room to improve.

I was in the market for a suppressor found one ready to buy. I have all my paperwork and know how the process works. Strike one was a kid asking me to redo my pic and finger prints. Not at all necessary. But ok. The FBI has been using the same fingerprint cards and passport photos forever but somehow they have changed?? Strike 2 Then the kid had no knowledge of how to file this type of paperwork and would have rather been anywhere else. Every question I had was just answered with "ok" and "i duno". The final strike was when he asked for my ATF username password. When making these accounts it is very serious. I am not going to just give my information over when it is not needed or to an individual that does not know what they are doing. The scary part for me is i have used them in the past and somehow thinks have changed. I had some customer service issues with them in the past but just chalked it up to a fluke. I really wanted to support a local company and keep a business here but this was NEGLIGENCE. I can order the same suppressor shipped to my door for way less without the attitude and hassle of dealing with someone that doesn't know what they are doing.

Admittedly, I'll use my local shops to get my hands on anything I'm interested in/curious about to see if it's a good fit. Sometimes GAG is muck cheaper. Sometimes it's a wash, or much more expensive. When the latter is the case, I'll buy local. I ordered a suppressor with this store. I was charged their standard fee and paid it. I was told I…read morecould not submit my paper work to the ATF until their "NFA guy" came to the store in a few days. I waited the few days and got my paperwork filled out. The "NFA guy" told me I was all set and everything was submitted. Only problem was I never got an email notification from the AFT say my paperwork was submitted. The "NFA guy" told me I was all good and it takes a few days with their system. He told me I should get approval in about 2 weeks. Fast forward about 6 weeks (45 days), still no email or update. So I can their 15th street store where I submitted the paper work. They dismissed me and told me to talk to "Grant" from another store (their plano gun range). I frequent the gun range and have always had good experiences. I get Grant on the phone who informed me that the 15th street store never submitted my paper work and I was waiting for nothing. Grant submitted my paperwork on the spot and I got an immediate ATF notification of the submitted paperwork (a very different experience than the 15th street store's "NFA guy's" statement). less than 6 days go by and i got my approval. I go in to pick up my Can and the "NFA guy" is there. he immediately blamed Grant for the who hang up and said sometimes it happens. Never offered an apology or took responsibility. For the record, this in not my first can (my 5th) and I have a decent idea of how this works. Based on my experience with the 15th street store. I will definitely not being going back to them for cans. Also this is not a knock on their range or Grant. They have always been great and have helped me. This is my bad/first experience ive had with the 15th street store and will not be doing business with them again regarding cans or anything that is not already on hand at the store. Additionally, I enjoy the range and got there often. I have been going to the range for years since they opened.
