Awful shop, employees are racist and immature. Bought a s&w 45 and the recoil spring was broken they said they tested it before they sold it but clearly not. Said all guns come as is even though I bought it less than 24 hours ago. Didn't even offer to replace the spring. Awful shop, go anywhere else. read more

I went in there with the intentions of having them fix or recommend a solution for my Glock Night sights because I put them on myself and the gun shoots way low left and before I switched them I hit close to bullseye most the time. He instantly said it's my fault like I'm pulling the gun like I can't shoot without looking at it. I put adjustable rear sight on and it shoots fine again. Maybe because I'm young or something I don't know but I took a $20 Lyft to get there and didn't get the help I was seeking. read more

The place is great! I spent a few hours today looking for ammo and this place had a bit! The prices were fair and the help was great! I really enjoyed the time spent here and felt like I would be going back in a hurry! This has got to be the strangest place in Mesquite...a gunstore in the middle of a residential neighborhood! This is a tiny little store that specializes in Glock, CZ. They can also order Sigarms products and some other brands. Ammo is usually available, but the prices are sky high. However, if you know what weapon you want to buy, this is the place to get it. They're usually at least 10% cheaper than the best prices I've found anywhere else in the Metroplex, including gunshows. This is my go-to place for handguns. You might see me shopping around at a local show or at a shop, but when it's time to buy, I take my money to The Armory. Lots of cops frequent this place too, and some of them like to hang out here. read more

Really liked it, they didn't try to upsell me, really friendly guy at the front. This was the first firearm I ever bought (AR-15) he guided me through what I wanted, and made sure I had all the important suff (sights,extra mag, ammo,ect). They had a limited selection of ARs but from what I saw they have a large selection of hand guns and ammo of all kinds, as well as lots supplies for weapon maintenance. All in all I loved it there and will be coming back every payday for extra ammo and a friendly atmosphere. P.S only complaint is that wasps tend to find there way inside the store(I'm deftly afraid wasps) but I can't hold it against them. read more

I first found the Armory about a year go, before prices when thru the roof. He cut me a first time buyers discount on a NIB idem. More recently I did some online purchases thinking was getting a good deal. I stopped in today to get some parts for a different online purchase that fell short. He had the all the parts I needed on hand to get it in perfect condition. So I asked how much for the box of ammo he had in stock for my new tool. It was a dollar less a box then I just paid online thinking was getting a good deal. The price difference was three boxes including the shipping I had to pay. read more

I recently bought a Glock 19 and I've been wanting to add some accessories. I'm normally a regular customer at GT Distributors, however since they close at 2 on Saturdays, I decided to look for another gun store (sorry, GT. I'm sure I'll be back to see you, too). Anyway after looking through Yelp, I found the Armory in Mesquite. I was a little hesitant about visiting because of the area of town it's located, however I really wanted an extended mag for my G19 so I said "screw it" and was on my way. When I pulled up to the store, I was kind of surprised: The place is pretty run-down. It has a gravel parking lot and is kind of cluttered in the front. When I was about to walk inside, I noticed a cat walked up and began to meow. Turns out, he lives at the Armory, according to the staff. I was pleasantly surprised. More on that later. Once inside, I noticed the store itself was pretty cluttered, definitely a hole-in-the-wall business. However I was promptly greeted by one of the staff members, which is something else I am not accustomed to when visiting a gun store. Once again, pleasantly surprised. I smiled and told the employee, (whom I think was the owner), that I was looking for an extended mag for my Glock. He was very courteous and welcoming. I got the mag I wanted for about two or three dollars cheaper than what I would have gotten it for at a larger gun store. After getting the mag, I began to walk around the store and noticed it's not very well kept: floors weren't particularly clean, nor was the lighting very good. However they have a pretty decent selection of pretty much anything a gun enthusiast would enjoy. As I've said: It's a hole-in-the-wall business. Their selection of ammo and gun cleaning supplies was very well stocked, and slightly cheaper than you'll find in other places, even Wal-Mart. They seemed to have fewer guns than other places, but it's a small business, so it's understandable. Overall, I really enjoyed the friendly environment I seldom get at other stores. Most other places simply want you to come in, buy something, then leave. But the staff at the Armory is friendly, helpful, and most importantly, knowledgable. I plan to go back when I either need ammo for the range, or just to ask a question about a gun or maintenance for my gun. Hell, seeing a cat in a gun store is a rare occurrence, so I'll be going back for that fact, alone. read more

I had a great experience at The Armory! I was looking for a particular used hand gun to add to my carry rotation, so I had been calling and looking around at most of the usual stores around town. Some stores simply didn't have what I was looking for, others like *cough* (target masters) *cough* DID have the gun I was looking for, but after visiting in store, they really didn't seem to want to speak with me in the least bit about their products. They gave off a very "buy something or leave vibe"... Not at all a place I felt needed my business. I stumbled across the armory, gave Darin a call, and my experience was the exact opposite. Not only did he happen to have what I was looking for, but he was willing to speak with me at length about some of the details of the particular firearm. I went in the next day to give the gun a look over in person. The firearm was exactly as discussed over the phone, the guys working the counter treated me as a priority and even did some quick fixing free of charge on a revolver I brought in that was having an issue releasing the cylinder ( a FAR cry from the services of other places like McClelland guns, who charged me $40 to remove a front sight on my PPQ. $40 for a few turns of an Allen screw that was too small for any key that I could find myself. Absurd..) Needless to say, I bought the used gun, along with a few boxes of ammo of a different variety and a holster for the new carry piece. Darin made me a killer deal and even talked shop with me for a while after about a few of the guns on my wish list. Bottom line - if you're looking for a gun shop where the guys seem to genuinely want your business, want to help answer your questions, and enjoy talking with their customers, I would HIGHLY recommend the armory! Especially, Especially, Especially the place I'd go if you're in the market for your first firearm! These guys will hook you up! read more

I tried calling and they didn't answer the phone, after 25 min. I gave up. I emailed them and got an answer that same night. I placed my order on Sat. morning and received my handgun on Tuesday morning. From Texas to Michigan, I'd say that was pretty quick. I would definitely do business with them again. read more
